Funny how you don't like apple, yet use iTunes. Speaking of which, I heard today that Vista isn't to iTunes friendly...you had any problems with it? Microsoft supposedly did the same thing to Netscape and quicktime with older windows OS's, which is why other apps became the standard on windows. Anyway, is that the default skin/theme? Looks nice. I should try it out sometime.
Anyway, Vista does look pretty nice - I think it's high time they got something new(ish) I'm hoping I could have a go on it soon - maybe even run it under parallels on my macbook. hmm, I should look into getting a news feed widget. I have some for my gaming news, and a few other things too. And I think these gadgets and mac widgets are far better than the yahoo ones. Yahoo ones clutter the desktop, and can't be added to my regular widgets, which can easily be viewed and hidden. One final question, is there a specific file format for Vista gadgets? Anything like .wdgt? See, when I get the time, I'm working on a KAF widget. I'm hoping it won't be too hard to get a windows version out as well when it's done.

Oiled Magic: that's a LOT of stickes. You should check out an app called Sidenote (yeah, for mac) which really helped me get rid of stickies, and it looks heaps better

Weatherdock - that thing in the menu bar at the top. Very cool little app. Shows current temp and almost any other weather info I could possibly need. Wind speed and direction, humidity, forecast, pressure, visibility etc.
Desktopcalendar - fully customisable calendar.
Adium - chat app I'm using - again, fully customisable with skins, soundsets, dock and menu icons etc. That was a style I edited myself. There is a windows equivalent, though not a windows version. I forget what it's called now. May be a link from the Adium site.
@Kan - 256? Wow, I'm actually impressed. I might get to work on some Astro icons this weekend. I may get a little time tomorrow.

uh, do you know how to use dmg's?
To put it simply, once it's expanded (unzipped if you will) it's not a permanent file. What you do, is copy the application to the apps folder, then eject the expanded folder. You can eject by dragging the icon to the trash (the trash should change icon so you know you're doing it properly) Or, you can simply click the little circle button next to the folder in a finder window, in the image below

You can then trash the dmg if you like, since you've copied the contents.
If you launch apps from the dmg, they're not really stored on the hard drive. Once you shut down, they'll close, so you need to expand the dmg again. So yeah, copy apps from the expanded dmg first, then launch them

wow, nice one! I think you really need to get some icons happening. You should check out LiteIcon - it allows you to drag-and-drop to customise system icons without any messing around.
Also, Adium extras (from their site) make adium a lot more interesting. Dock and menu bar icons, sound sets, emoticons, chat window skins. Heaps to choose from.
ClearDock is another good one that I use. Takes that dock background away (or you can re-colour it)

Hmm... a lot of those music files shouldn't be on the desktop. I recommend changing the location where you save it to ( when prompted it will ask you and you go to the drop down menu and pic the following location) or you make a another folder for it. o.o

Wow, Anorudo, just wow. You are always there to criticize for no real good reason. First of all, your sarcasm is unneeded and second of all Linux doesn't need to look good. (Plus some people have different aesthetic tastes than others.) It's efficient for what its users use it for. Just because you've installed Ubuntu, which you probably don't even use, doesn't mean you can judge every other Linux distro.
You change you desktop every day it seems like, just so you can post here. Learn how to stick with one style for I don't know, maybe a week? Also, no one cares that you have pirated Adobe software with you saying how much room they take up on your desktop.

there's actually two ways actually
Command+Shift+4 makes it so that you can choose what you're shooting and Command+Shift+3 just shoots the whole screen. Either works. :3

that's really odd. Are you using some obscure browser at all? Or maybe it's some strange input format you have for your keyboard? For example, I have mine set to Aus English. Maybe yours isn't set to American English. Dunno if these could cause it or not, but just something to investigate.

My cousin installed it on his Dell Laptop. As soon as he tried to get rid of it, it had already patched some system files and it made his system unstable. None of those "Transformation Packs" have seamless uninstalls. Might as well do it all yourself.
