sure the manga is great but the anime uh......... not so much

My mom won't let me get bittoorent because its P2P can spmeone tell her its safe?

Just make sure you have a spyware remover and detector. There are a few files that have it on occasion, but most of them dissappear once you delete the file with the subbed anime. (One episode takes up a lot of space, so you should delete them anyway )

Anyway, yeah, Akamatsu's mangas have always been better than the anime. If he'd just get a better anime company, both could be good, but whateer. It's a strict budget...30+ actors, lol. The latest episode was good though on the action part.

I download them. They are good!

Man...I'm starting to love BT...

It is a nice system of filesharing, ne? Very handy when you can't be online for long periods of time, as well as when you can.

But as for the anime... the style is nice, the music is wonderful, so far my only problem has been the sheer smooshing of the storyline at points. It's pretty much my nitpicking about the manga, only with more basis, considering they jumped so fast in the plotline.

Overall, it's not BAD, but as was stated, could have been done better as well as lacking compared to the manga. ALthough having voices to the girls that fit so well is nice

The thing is, if my dad finds out, I'll be dead like Asuna kicked me. Because like ioioe's mom, he hates (or rather fears) P2P because the government is starting to arrest people for using them.

I can't blame him...I swear at least 40% of my computer is downloaded.

Usually around thirty minutes...depending on the number of seeders for the torrent.

That's for DSL and above. With dialup...15 hours at best.

Seeders are people who leave the download window open when it is completed. It makes transfer of torrents easier.

So when im downdownloding i should leave the window open

lol, sorry but i need some help with downloading negima episodes on bittorrent (sort of on topic) . in the middle of downloading the episode something came up and said something like "no space left on device" and my download stopped. can anyone help?

animenuke has the episodes up for direct download. However unless you donate $5 and get a premium account, you can only donload one anime episode a day. Worth it in my opinion though for the amount of different animes they have up for download.

Episode 9 is out by [AnCo]. THey just do period 13 in the manga, but with more stuff added. Yuck! Setsuna (aka Konoka's lover/bodyguard) has a deep voice.

Is Setsuna younger? Motoko didnt have a deep voice like hers. Hopefully Setsuna has a high pitch scream like Motoko.

Edit: I forgot to mention. In episode 9, they changed the beat of the theme song....yet again! Now it was more of a torpical/drums thing to it. Bah!

Just watched episode 10. The volleyball/dodgeball thing. (Persiod 5-6).

I noticed new drawing methods, but still not great. The scene with Asuna and Ayaka arguing, the angle shot of thier face is so bad! So many polygons!

The leader of the highschool girls is just like Ayaka!! LOL!!

I don't want it eather cause they will get some crappy english Voice actor that sux and thinks they are the bset....

The Love Hina dubs (for anyone who read that before Negima) weren't that bad, apart for Episode #1 where Virus pointed out he says "Kentalo", and the voice of Mitsune. Other than that, they weren't all that bad.

is it just me or do you guys prefer turning it to japenese with english subtitles or would you watch it in english for negima and love hina

I avoid english dubs at all cost. Only time when I listen to the dubs is if the series was confusing the first time around. I wold pay attention and not read subtitles all the time.

yea I'm the same, unless the dubs are done really well (eg Excel Saga)

everyone I know usually says it's better in Japanese with English subtitles, but I prefer to understand what's being said than have to look at what they're saying at the bottom of the screen....kinda ruins the whole experience, but maybe that's just me

i live there for only 4 years and i think i know more french then you ive been to japan on a tour from china its not all its cracked up to be everthing is really expensive

I lived there for about a couple years and then went to stay with a friend last summer, and it really is expensive, but the pay you get from jobs is also higher than most American minimum wage. It's worth it, though, because a night in Tokyo, especially in Harajuku or Shibuya, it's like ten times better than what a stoner would call a good time, especially with a friend that you know from there .

Anyway, this is getting really off topic ...By the way, isn't learning Japanese easy if you're from China, because I thought the kanji had the same meaning but different pronunciation. Or something. Meh.

yes it is easier if you know chinese japenese calligraphy is based on chinese calligraphy speaking it is not as similiar but is more compatible with chinese than iwth english

Good question, it looks like Anime Council is getting lazy or they're going to release a bunch at once (kind of like Koi does every now and then).

Is it like season finales for most of the series. I havent seen and new episodes of Naruto, Gundam Seed, and Negima in quite awhile (subbed by the popular groups)

Anyway...the download didn't work, and I want to see at least episode one! *sigh* All the peers logged off, so there's no one to continue the download off of....I hate bittorent or any program that uses P2P tech.

Thank-you Shugo, anyway...I'm still waiting to see the first episode of Negima, it still hasn't downloaded. I keep getting 0 peers, and if I'm lucky 1 seed. Could someone tell me if it's even worth it? (not like I'll stop now...it's at 95 percent)

Finally it downloaded and I watched it! I don't know why so many people complain about the quality, it's actually really good, despite a few minor eye problems here and there (Konoka's eyes look vacant in one scene for no reason) and the fact that the shoulders of the girls look kind of strange and the hair color changes (I thought Chisame would be a blonde, guess not), but other than that I really enjoyed the first episode, especially the part where...well...nevermind...I'm voting against downloading the second episode however...bittorent takes way too long, an entire week is a little much for me.

Mine took 2 weeks lucky.

Yes, my download time was great this time! It only took half a day to download! The second episode is greatly improved from the first...but like anyone here cares, most of you have probably watched em all so far anyway.

plus the opening theme changed again, and there's a new ending theme! i think they're pretty cool.

The beat of the Opening Song has changed about 5-6 times so far, but it's the same song, different beat.

Ending theme has only changed once.

geez thats once every 2-3 eps.

aren't they planning on letting the voice actors of the class all get a chance to sing in the opening or something?

Ishin Fansubs were the first group to sub negima (excluding the trailers) then some others appeared e.g. Anime Council but Ishin has gotten soooo slow with it its un-imaginable

Negima DVD INFO::::::::

Mahou Sensei Negima TV Vol. 1 DVD (R2)- release date has been set for 6/22/05. Note that this comes in a Regular Edition as well as a Special Edition which will include a bonus CD and supposedly another of the pactio cards. At this time, we don't know which character is featured for this release. Hope you guys have around $70 US (7500 Y) if you are planning to pick this up. Then again, perhaps we'll see the character pactio cards when the series is brought over to the US.

SO im wondering is the DVD gunna be in JAPNESE or ENGLISH, i still don't know

I think the novelty of Negima anime for me has worn off, I'm not really interested to know if it'll get released in the US anymore. In a way, I prefer the manga. You get to know the character's thoughts a lot more in the book than in the anime.

Dubs Suck except the fan dubs because they atleast try but look what they did to poor Megaman! The Swords have no edges!!!

It's a p2p file sharing system that most people use nowadays to get just about anything on the web^_^

some websites charge but most of it is free. for a bittorrent client, i personally reccomend azureas, just look it up on google and download the program

Trojans are kinda like mini-viruses that look like a normal files, but do a bunch of annoying things to your computer

oh, stupid viruses......

but, they aren't much of aproblem, mostly just slows your internet down a bit, any virus program off the web can easily get rid of them. they mostly disguise themselves as system files to scare you off from deleting them.

Not for me I downloaded a program called "utopia angel" and found a trojan on there. Trojan creats a sort of "back door" in somebody elses computer so you can screw around with whatever they have...

im not sure but if you go to www.animenuke.com you can download an episode a day or you can do my way and wait till 5:53pm with 1 down load point and down load theneeded episode and then go for the second one .

The chinese dub's were quiet good ,but the English Voice Actor's sucked....so I turned on the english subtitles and watched it in Japanese.

Lets hope if they bring down here that they find the best voice actors possible! but I think if the person who does kagomes voice did Asuna's it would be alright but im not sure.

Thus why the DVDs have the awesome Japanese with English subtitles feature . So no matter how much the English audio sucks, you can always change the settings...although for the TV showings there's always the option of turning the volume down

also finished watching it (yesterday actually) and ep 21 was really rushed, i did not like it at all.

There wasn't any major problems with it all in all it was ok........

what? it was totally rushed, people came out of no where, they missed a lot of important details...........then they had that thing at the end........... for me, it was the worst episode i've seen in negima............

Hmmm yeah i watched episode 21 too and it seemed they took the whole book of volume 6 and turned it into a 23 minute episode where as the first episode only consisted of 1 chapter from volume 1.

ya, thats what i don't like. some episodes are a few chapter of the manga, while others are the whole volume.

Finally got Vol. 1 + 2.
Eps. 1-17
They where awesome, plus the Subtitles were direct Japanese to english translations. Which every thing the subs. said was literally what they said in the anime. However it did make it harder to read, but thats what our brain is for, to fill in the gaps.
Its just like any DVD, first they come out with the first sets(Just epsodes only, nothing else), then later the Box sets(which do include special stuff like pactio cards, etc.).

so only the box sets comes with the pactio cards, or do the dvd's itself come with it?

Don't worry the DVD boxset(if the U.S. releases the boxset or any dvds at all) will come with pactio cards. The regular dvds don't come with pactio cards or any special bonuses. The Regular DVDs contain 8 episodes. Other then that I'm clueless.
If your looking for Pactio cards there are other ways of getting them: CDs, first edition mangas, anime magizines, and TCG's. Japan(to my knowlege) just came out this year with Negima TCG(Trading card game) and in the bigger 60 card deck boxes have one pactio card within it including a Student I.D. The Student I.D. I have no Idea what it is, but I'm guessing its a description of one of the 31 girls(I know all of this through Rumor and other forums; I haven't comfirmed any of this yet).

Well thats kind of what I said. Yes I see 'Trading Cards' there are always trading cards for every anime, but I remember hearing(Reading) something about the actual TCG. Even though I haven't seen them yet. Again what I say is just rumor at the moment.

Yay!! She's dead!! I always thought she was kind of annoying. When this series came out, so many people were excited but when I started watching it, I didn't understand and I still don't. I guess the manga was a lot better..at least I hope...

It's such a Godd**n shame!! The manga version is so freakin' good, why did they have to screw the anime like that?! Serves XeBeC right to end the series by Akamatsu-sama's wishes!
