I'm going to have to go with 7. I like the positioning and the choice of stock better than most here, but the text is also simple and interesting, and neither dominant nor lost. The string of brighter color gives interest to the image without diffusing the apprehensive and somber mood.

The 7th one seems to be one with planned effort put in. A skillful hand at that.
And the only one that comes close is the spawn one.
while I admit the 7th is done well , the bland topography doesn't quite catch my attention, and the stings of brightness only add to the distortion from which i cant conceive the other subtleties (assuming there are?). prolly a brighter lighting around the corner in the b.g. would have been good.

The spawn one despite being a kind of rummage, catches the eye, makes me stare at it a tick more. The lightball at the bottom could have used better blending; It requires better blending. At least, its an eyesore that catches the eye though. The 7th one doesn't have any special attributes which i found myself penetrating into.

Tough between those, but spawn gets my vote. which ever peeks your eye a tick more.

5 gmv if you missed it

#7 GMV.

#1 is just a bit too weird. I mean Death Note is a dark anime, usually you should use some darker colors instead of bright colors in this one. Though I will admit
the colors adn style of the background look nice.

#2 is odd, I was attracted to it but I can't distinguish anything.

#3, I don't like the style. The gritty style? I forgot what it was called, grit? Meh, well I didn't like the background and how it was blended. That's all. >:

#4 in terms of graphics, it's nice, it's blue, and it has details. In terms of stock, well... Yeah I think they could've find something better than a weird Batman.

#5 it's pretty well done, I myself have no experience in rendering and stuff like that, but it works. Even though Spawn is in black and has dark colors the color of the background do not work against that it doens't look odd. But I'll still have to go with #7.

#6. I think pictures of people should be blended in with the background or something. This just felt unnatural.

#7. The background was nice, the text blends well with the background, stock picture works as well since it has the same hue (?). All in all, simple reasons why this gmv. Oh, that and it's also looks and feels simple.

#8. The color of the background and the character works well together. However, the background could be better.

I was going to vote 5, up until I saw 8. I really like the centering of the image and the fade out and rather easy on the eyes girl, and colors wink.gif

Hmm...

I don't know which one to pick... I really like both 1 and 7...

But since I'm a sucker for color... I'll have to go for #1. Anything simply colorful gets my vote. :3

5 gmv. I like the use of colour and shape, the lighting is interesting, and the background is different from the rest of the sig so it causes a nice contrast.

KAF's got server problems again ?
Anyway here's my review:

#1
Nice effects indeed ,but the colours surely don't match with the render ;/
Specially the background colour ;/ Too many bright colours don't cooperate with each other in the end ;/
The left part could also use some filling ,because it looks kinda empty ;/

#2
Well... I really don't understand it ;/

#3
Not bad... I especially like the belnd on this one :]
But those effects (c4d ? ) on the background looks weird...atleast for me ;/
Anyway good work :]

#4
Looks OK to me ,but why is Batman cut in half ? xp

#5
Now that's something new :] Really eye applying sig indeed :]
Only the blend style bugs me on this one ;/ It looks kinda unfinished ;/
I see also some color pointers that could use a little fixing ;/ Specially those on the spikes ,because they're hardly visiable ;/
The light source could use a little fix too ;/ If you wanted to make spread effect on render try using smudge tool with higher ap or add a little more white or whatever colour on the render and then smudge it out slightly :]

#6
Those colours really don't match the render ;/ The background style dooesn't get to me either ;/

#7
Very nice sig :]
The background reminds me some oil paint... I like that :]
Blending is also very good and the render matches the background perfectly :]
The additional effects used with C4D are also nicely done :] They caught my eyes ,because they look like sparks :]
But they also makes me think that there is also some action going on :]

#8
I like the way how the render is exposed ,because it actually wants you to concentrate only on it :] The blend is nicely done :]

Hard choice ,but in the end #7 gets my vote biggrin.gif

#1 GMV

Colour is awesome, lighting is really nice, and there's good depth in the sig. :3 The skull reminds me of the Venture Brothers though. '-' Not so much Death Note.

For me it was between numbah 7 and numbah 1.
But 7 gmv over 1 because:
The colors just didn't go with the render.
Death note is a dark anime~the happy looking colors don't mix well.
I prolly would have went for it if the render were misa misa.
All in all it was a really nice sig.

Numbah 7 gmv because:
The bg is blended together nicely, the render matches it very well, I love the text[nice n' simple] and the little sparks around it really set the mood for me. Makes me think she's in the middle of an epic battle or something.

It's close between 7 and 8 for me... I'd have to go with 8 since it's well blended and centered well. Although I like the way 7 was, 8 is just overall my favorite to look at.

In order from my most favorite sig to my least favorite and their reasons.

#8 – I enjoy the fact that the center of focus is on the character in the signature. The background is also very intriguing and catches my eye easily. I might prefer wording; however, or different coloring, but the definition into the character and her expression intrigues my interest.
#1 – The mere expression of colors and wave like appearance I find very likeable. The way the colors outline the character I also find well done. I probably would prefer some wording of course (though Death Note is there).
#7 – I really enjoy the lighting in this one. The character is pleasing to the eye, though I have never been a fan for a robotic appearance ( may be more pleasing to males I suppose). I enjoy the word Fly a lot.
#3 – I like the wording on this one. The somewhat sketchy/rugged look I don’t really enjoy. To me it takes away the effect of the sig. The character is partially the main focus. Though I have never been one for grimaces on sigs. The white wing-like distractions in the background I do find interesting however.
#6 – I NEVER like real people in sigs. It seems to draw a line for me that I don’t like. I really like the coloring behind him; however, and the lighting. If he were not a real character this sig would be higher up for me. I really like the wording on this one.
#4 – The wording is ok on this one. The background isn’t too amazing to me. Though the right corner isn't half-bad interesting wise. I don’t like batman as the choice of character because he is too commonly known.
#5 – Doesn’t really resemble a sig to me. Probably just because the wording is missing. Never been a fan of demonic/bad guy resemblances. The character I find well done, but I’m not interested with the background.
#2 – I like the coloring for this one, but I can hardly tell what I’m looking at. There is no wording either. I enjoy the artistic view of this sig. But I don’t want to tilt my head every time I look at it.
