Merennulli: Everyone has their own opinion ^__^;; I think that alot of people are attracted to the dark, mysterious characters and since L tends to be very cute(in my opinion) it just makes him huggable ^__^

I liked L for his cunning ways. I like a man who can think his way out of anything. And he was always on the same step, or one ahead of Kira. I actually gave up on the series when he died. It lost its flair. Mellow and Near can never meet the standards I set from L. I'm not attracted to him though. As Frost said, he's asexual anyway.

As for why women are attracted to him, I think it's the eyeliner. The ladies love the eyeliner.

Lol, you may be onto something there... lol, and yeah, I think I liek Near a bit more... but he wouldnt ever be as good as L was...

That puzzles me even more. He's portrayed as having a great intellect, as several main characters are, but none of them were even above average intelligence by real world standards. I also have never met a woman who -really- cared about intelligence in that way. Several who claimed it, but intelligence was deprioritized when it was applied to who they actually liked. The author obviously has above average intelligence, being able to handle writing multiple intelligent characters, but I don't see anyone swooning over him.

From what I've seen here, it sounds like certain people here just want to compete with the girl who said she liked L at the commencement ceremony mid-series.

i thought asexual meant you could reproduce without a "partner....."

or......not sexual at all lol

Asexual has apparently taken on a more nonscientific term. While most of us remember it from biology, other people now use it as a means of explaining their lack of sexual interest.

I must say, L is pretty good even tho I'm posting in an OLD TOPIC!

Loved L. He made Deathnote funny and added the great chase in it. Hell, even my grandmother liked him and she isn't a fan on anime or supernatural/fantasy.

Lol at everyone making L the ultimate fantasy.
L was my fav. character from Death Note, he gave the manga more depth. After L died I stopped reading it.
