I'm not really a fan of either of them.
However, Sempai-Kun GMV.

Takkun's was a little too plain for me.

Sempai-Kun's, although the stock didn't blend in too well,
was much more complex with the blending and effects.
However, I'd like to see less black and I'd also like to see the stock blend in more.

Takkun GMV of course. His shows good control of his sigs, plus knowledge of design basics. Sempai's is too saturated, and really flat, and unblended.

Neither of them stick out and say pick me to me, so it was kinda difficult to pick who's was better....

Takkun gets my vote though, I really like signatures you can pull off with black and white with a hint of colouring, could have used way more going on in it. Text isn't the best either.

takkun GMV I can see a lot of small details in it and it's an alright b/w sig.

good job though sempai it's just a little flat and doesn't blend well. try burn and color dodge to give it more of a 3d look, and to make it blend in there are about a million ways to do that.

here's one: duplicate the stock layer, smudge the bottom one a bit, and set to something like overlay or screen. you can even duplicate the smudged layer and put it on top of the non-smudged layer and erase around the focal points (the face and stuff like that)

another way: try some gradient maps and photo filters at a low opacity but be careful because too much and it'll flatten your sig D: just mess around until you get something you like

to takkun: sharpen a bit around the focal points and it'll help your sig not look so bland

Sempai-Kun GMV because it has a lot more colour and is also very creative with the text but the background could have used some work...seems like there's too much unused space. Takkun's is also creative but I don't like the way the overall sig was set up. The cut off at the bottom wasn't a good idea in my opinion and the text could use some work. The hearts in colour make a nice effect put a little more colour in other places would have made it even better. GJ both of you though. smile.gif

Takkun GMV. Even though it's not his best, Takkun's shows much more experience and knowledge of the basic workings of design. It's simple, and not too cluttered.

Sempai- It was a bad idea to use that render in the first place, it's pretty LQ, which automatically takes down the quality of the overall work. Second, there's no blending, other than a likeness in the coloration. The piece is quite oversaturated and, while the text is creative, it just doesn't fit. I'd recommend reading some tutorials, and picking up some pointers on these problems. :]

Takkun- 5

Semapi- 3

Takkun wins this battle, good job everyone!
