I drew somethings to sell at a local anime event. Think that I'm one of the idiots that did not draw the chibi form. *self- torture*

I'm kinda running late on my own deadline...So I need you guys to see if their are any ways that I can further improve my drawings cos I want them to be perfect when I sell it....Then I will be able to start colouring them if there is not problem...

Thanks!

The first couple look nice. The last one strikes me as odd though. Just something about the girls arm... It's too long (I think)...or too thin. o.o

i think it all looks awesome biggrin.gif but in the first picture, the girl looks like she's gonna fall off D:

i love the second and third picture~ cant really find anything wrong about it.

..me thinks that the girl's shoulder in the last one is too wide and her head kinda looks weird a bit.

i think thats all but remember...I'm not an expert so you should listen to other people too biggrin.gif

OK,
1st pic: raise the facial features of the guy - his face looks too low for the shape and size of the head. His nose would need to come down a bit.

2nd: no real problems - just work on his hand a little more. Perhaps get a friend or family member as reference wink.gif Great otherwise!

3rd: looks good - again, hand references. I think she should look at the viewer, and the guy should perhaps be looking at her. I think she would be looking at what she will be firing at...

4th: shorten her raised arm.

Very nice overall. Hope my advice isn't too late.

Of course no. happy.gif
still working on somemore so pop by when you guys are free. Added a new one of the coloured version. Using water colours cos my computer can't do CG. Do you think I should outline the picture?

Thanks for the advice. But I wouldn't be able to do major changes like changing the head. Cos that would mean I will have to change the whole picture.

All the pictures are the newly edited ones. Will edit and upload again...Thanks again!

The Mwu/Murrue picture is very nice, although their hair looks unnatural. You could add some more highlights and shadowns to Mwu's to make it look more curly like it was in the anime, and Murrue's looks too thick. That's pretty much it...although I am baffled as to why Mwu would be wearing her memorial necklace thingy...

Hm... ok I'm trying to make Murrue hair look thinner but not sure if it worked. Oh cos I thought I remember Murrue giving it to Mwu during Seed. Well even if she didn't it looks nice as a token of love to Mwu.

So will you guys buy it? I'm thinking that it looks sub-standard compared to those digital art.

Well I completed colouring the piece of the gal holding a gun. Which one should I colour next? How come the colours all turn out paler after scanning? Can this be adjusted by the computer?

More comments please!!!

Wow! you are such a great artist. I wish I could draw like that.

You have pretty much caught your mistakes in your own posts...

I do have a question though.... in the first sketch it looks like the girls leg is around his back and she is kind of sitting on his hip.... but the curving of her skirt implies that she is standing and leaning against him... Which is it?

It looks much better in the finished product... you can't see his left arm any more and so you can't see his hand holding her knee... It looks much better

hey guys! thanks for your comment! I decided to practice a few more years before attending the next event. Kinda screw up the printing and the colours were blotchy. The two pictures in the link in my previous post were done using water colours (went to check out their booth on that day). Great difference eh! So yeah gonna practice more before attending the next event.

About the 1st sketch. The guy is suppose to be carrying the girl on his back. I think because I cropped the picture too much that is why you couldn't understand what were they doing.

I love your pictures. They are all awesome and if I were at the event I would have been tempted to buy them all. Haha, how much were you charging for them? I'm just curious. Anyways, I like your colors. I like your pitures better than that other site becuase yours seem more friendly and inviting. happy.gif

Hahaha thanks! Due to the lack of background, lousy printing and colours. Me and my friend decided to sell them real cheap.

The Gundam Seed Destiny cards were a quarter A4. I sold them in a set of 6 for SG$2.50 which is about US$1.63282.

Due to some printing error, the ouran which was suppose to be A4 size became a quarter A4 too. So I decided not to sell it. However someone requested for it and I sold it for 0.50SGD which is 0.326563 USD.

Back at the event, A quarter A4 cards are sold about SG$1.50 each. So you do the conversions. happy.gif Cheap eh. Had loads of leftovers. Giving to friends for free as gifts. hahaha

must have been a good experience nevertheless smile.gif
I'm sure you'll be well prepared next time. Printing can always pose lots of problems - just make sure you have your resolution set to 300dpi, and the dimension set to the actual print size. Also, the doc will need to be CMYK colours, and always do test prints first so you can manage and correct colours if needed.

Yeah it was good experience. Will be more prepared the next time. The weird thing is that I drew on A4 size and resize to a quarter and scanned at 400dpi. My friend opened it using her photoshop and it was clear. But when the shop owner opened with his photoshop and printed, it was pixelised.

whats CMYK?
