The steps I took.

1. Looked up RPG maker 2003 on google.

2. Found the download and all of it's patches within five minutes.

3. Realized how rediculously difficult it was to use.

4. Deleted it.

5. Went back to using RPG Maker 2 for the PS2.

Man, I rule.

You are a real rookie guest. You should first stat looking in the Community! Which can be found on "http://www.rpgmaker2k.de" .(Yes, german, but it's a great site)

I work almost 2 years with it, last year not ... But I too know Rpg Maker 2000 and Rpg Maker 2003 are old. A new one is up, Rpg Maker Xp.

But as I said, please look in the german community, they really know everyting about it. And I'm also there ...

I have once started to make a game with Rpg Maker, it's very simple to use. I created Kirigan Settlement which can be found on my homepage. Maybe someone can use my game as a example, or as a demo to just see what these Rpg Makers can do.

Oh, that's true. Whatever you make or do, your source code can't be protected! So if someone else have a Rpg Maker it can open and modify your project... Maybe this is relevant for someone ...

Oh rookie ( biggrin.gif ): Forgot your question, sorry.
1- Just press (F7) or the third layer which is yellow. Do you see it in top of the screen?
2- Press right click on a ground in the map in this mode
3- A menu will open and you need to select "Set start location party"

Am I clear? Need some more info? Just post. I like to help.

Yes, I have tried ALL conventional methods (resolution? my moniter doesn't support it.
Postality version? Hated it. Unicode crap? Don't bother.) and NONE worked. And I am NOT searching for my XP CD to install language packs to change it to something wink.gif

Note: 'Hitsugaya Toushirou' was banned from the community for failing to adhere to the community standards. Reasoning: not following the rules of the community.

Yah upgrade to the RMXP, it's simple to use, it's got more flexibility.
