Background

There was a prophesy in the world before the worlds.

At the creation of the World there was the Keyblade, forged in the fires of creation and cooled in the hearts of man, it was a weapon of purity. Through the power of the Keyblade Wielders the world came to be enveloped in everlasting light and peace. But it was not to last, for the Wielders had upset the harmonic balance of light and dark, as to what came next; it was of no surprise. At the dawn of the X-Blade's ((Kye Blade's)) creation, Darkness took a chance to tip the scales back in its favor. It chose one Wielder, out of the millions that existed, and gave him a gift of dark power. Taken aside from his fellows the Wielder followed the Darkness into the forbidden realm and there he was given a Keyblade.

But this blade was unlike any other that had been ever been forged before. It was more than just dark emotions made solid as where others of its kind. No. It could think, it could plan, it was sentient on a level no Keyblade before or after would ever be. Its form was as twisted as its mind, its blade a knotted human spine, its teeth a human skull pierced by human ribs, its guard a still beating human heart, and from that two skeletal arms grasped a femur to make the handle and guard. A retinal cord and one lonely eyeball made the keychain. It was a Keyblade of Absolute, it was Verfallt.

The Wielder who had been chosen to taken up Verfallt was repulsed by the weapon in his hand and so he tried to cast it away. Verfallt did not take kindly to this act and so, in vengeance, it struck the Wielder and possessed his heart. Taking over the Wielder's body, mind, and soul it dominated the man, twisting his body with a Dark Suit that had fused with the Wielder's Armor. It was no longer Verfallt the Keyblade, he was now Verfallt the Keyblade Wielder! Wielding himself in his right hand Verfallt laid waste to the Land of Light by turning the favor of the Keyblade War to Darkness. It was Verfallt who is to blame for the destruction of the World, and for the separation of the World into The Worlds.

It is fortunate, however, that Verfallt did not escape justice. During the final Battle for the X-blade his mortal body was vanquished, leaving his Keyblade form sealed, like so many others, in The Keyblade Graveyard.

But fate had yet to play its final card.

Many centuries later in a world called the Radiant Garden a young man yearned, more than anything, to be an Apprentice to Ansem the Wise. Ansem, despite his young age, had proved to be an invaluable asset to the Garden. As such only the best and brightest were chosen, and the young man was constantly rejected. As the young man became ever more desperate to accomplish his goal, he built a device that could travel beyond space and time with a push of a button. So sure that this device would at last impress the young Ansem he powered it up for one final test. In his haste the young man had forgotten the ever crucial containment field, and the resulting explosion sent him on a whirling path through Hyper-space.

Losing consciousness the young man had awoken in a barren Wasteland devoid of all life, knowing he had screwed up and with no way to return to The Radiant Garden he wandered the Wasteland. Days turned into weeks, as he trudged along the barren landscape. Tired, thirsty, and nearly dead the young man eventually arrived at a field, but instead of trees, or grass, or anything that would signify life, there where only keys, giant keys that looked more like weapons than anything else. Curious and knowing he was in his last hours, he waded into the field of keys and randomly plucked one from the ground, it felt cold in his hand. Despite the haze that filled his mind he could tell that the weapon-key was made out of human body parts. Horrified he made to place the dark thing back in the ground, but at the last second a dark, cool, voice entered his mind. He knew, or at least his subconscious knew that this voice belonged to the weapon in his hand.

The voice did indeed belong to the weapon, it told him that it was a Keyblade, it told him the history of the Worlds, and the history of the Keyblades. It told the young man that such knowledge would most defiantly make him an apprentice to the one called Ansem, all the young man had to do was allow the Keyblade he held into his heart. The young man, blinded by the dark whispers, foolishly allowed the Keyblade to do just that and nearly at once did the young man lose all that he was to Verfallt.

Verfallt reveled in his new body as he reformed his twisted fusion a Dark Suit and Keyblade Armor, he watched in silent glee as his Keyblade body regained its old power. Forming a Keyblade Glider from his Keyblade form, Verfallt left The Graveyard, an evil plan had already formed in his twisted mind. He knew of an ancient prophecy, that when worked in the proper order, would bring balance back to all Worlds, but when been worked in reverse it would permanently destroy any semblance Balance and allow not Darkness, nor light, but Chaos to rule froever.

Flying through the Lanes Between, Verfallt began enacting the first part of his plan to bring about the destruction of Balance. Focusing darkness through his form he created monsters that would act as the living opposite of a Keyblade. He created hundreds upon thousands of these monsters during that one flight alone. Despite the varied appearance between many of the monsters they all had two things in common. The first was that at least one “body part” was made of bone, and the second was that they all had the same dark purple symbol upon their bodies. The symbol was a keyhole, with intricate patterns weaving in and around it. Verfallt looked his monsters and decided to give them a fitting name. He called them the Requited He spread the Requited to all of the Worlds, infecting them with darkness.

It would not be long before any remaining Keyblade Masters took notice of the Requited and sent their best to destroy them. The plan would go smoothly, for the cause of the Requited was a mystery, and so with the Wielders concentrating on his distraction, Verfallt could make sure all Balance would be destroyed.

Plot

The Keyblade Masters are unease. Lately they have been getting disturbing reports from the worlds they look after. Frighting monsters made of bone were attacking the locals. Similar to Heartless in many respects they preyed upon any life the world held, slowly turning it into a place of death, and with every victim of these creatures a new monstrosity rises as the victim begins to wither.

The Masters are getting desperate. They need warriors to combat this threat and hold it back while they try and discover a way to eliminate it completely. To that end a Keyblade Counsel was created, led by Masters Ixne, Quraes, Siyn-De, and Xela. The Heads of the Counsel have decided to let their apprentices fight the growing hordes, but not alone. Instead there will be teams of varying sizes traveling to all worlds in an effort to stem the flow Darkness. The Counsel spread the world of this decision to the other Masters and told them to gather the chosen warriors at Xela's world, the Valley of Tranquility, in one week's time.

But is not just the Keyblade Wielders. Anyone with sufficient power to combat this growing threat has been called to The Valley of Tranquility to meet with Master Xela and the rest of the Counsel. Fine warriors, Wielders, and fighters will gather there in three day's time to hold consul on this threat.

Will join this counsel and defy fate? Will you have the courage and conviction to uncover the truth behind the Reverse Prophesy?



Information

URGH!! That plot is crud! But it is serviceable and that is what matters.

First things first, this RP takes place a good many years before Birth By Sleep, that means we get wonderful things like Keyblade Armor, and Keyblade Gliders!! I've tried to create an RP that is close to actual game experience while still allowing freedom, and I do believe I've succeeded, but there are few things I've got to cover first.

OK, the plot of this thing is really simple. We got a Dark Keyblade who has possessed a human idiot to wreak havoc with the worlds through the use of creatures called Requited which act more or less like locks ((Duh)). The Requited are fond of attacking people and locking away their hearts, thus ,causing a wide range of adverse effects in the victim, kinda like losing your soul actually. As it stands now the Keyblade Masters are only aware of the Requited, and the growing threat that they are. ((So massive a threat in fact they are allowing Apprentices to fight them.)) So far they have learned that defeating a Requited unlocks a locked heart so our job is to destroy as many as we can while going through a World's plot-line. Verfallt is still an unknown force.

That being said I'm trying to avoid worlds that have been visited in the games, with a few noticeable exceptions naturally. Now because this is before BBS some plots we'll have to make up ourselves but hakuna matata. Like the games there will be a few original worlds and FF characters as well, this will be a grand remix, to say it plainly. So far the only original world is The Valley of Tranquility, where we will all meet and gather when this thing starts. Originally this was going to be a Keyblade Wielder only thing but I think its best I be a bit more inclusive this time around, so this includes original FF characters or just straight up original characters.

The battle system this RP will use is a freestyle version of BBS with a few changes. What this means is that attacking, commands, spells, shotlocks, and bunch of other stuff are a free action outside of actual game restrictions. Because we will not have Wayfinders we'll get Summon Stones, the only restrictions with Summons is that there is only one per character and we do not start out with one. You choose the summon at the end of a world, so chose carefully.

On that note, shotlocks, BBS stye limits, and combo finishers will be similarly restricted, but they can be changed with a quick message and an approval by me. ((I find it hard to say “No.” by the way.))

Once quick thing here, while I do not particularly care if some of us are Keyblade Masters and some of us Keyblade Apprentices, or something different all together. But on the subject of Wielders it is probably a good idea for all of you to have a different Master and to have trained with that Master on separate Worlds before gathering in the Valley of Tranquility.

To simplify things just go ahead and assume that all characters have already unlocked all command slots and a equipped all BBS abilities. Also ALL Wielder characters will have a Glider and Armor capabilities.))

To finish up, the rest will be explained in the Character Bio section below, the last thing that needs to be said is on the subject of Keyblades.

I have left the Bio Sheets vague and somewhat incomplete for a reason. The point is to follow at least a farce of the game style so we'll all start out relatively weak.

A separate Bio has been provided for RPers who wish to not be a Wielder.

Keyblades will get a separate Bio from your character and will generally follow BBS stats, however one thing that will be different is the Keyblade's ability ((or regular weapon's ability)). On this matter I would prefer it to be an original ability, like maybe your Keyblade's ability allows you and only you a new undiscovered spell or maybe it grants some sort of special physical ability, or perhaps you'd prefer one from the games. Play with it, the first Keyblade/weapon's a freebie.

As a little posting incentive I will allow RPers to create a new Keyblade ((for non-Wielder characters a new weapon of the same type)) upon the completion of a World. BUT! The Keyblade must be themed to that world, that is the only restriction ((non-wielders do not have this restriction)). I will also allow Plot Keyblades/weapons at certain points in the over-arcing story, these, like the first, are freebies.

Now it is my pleasure to finally stop talking and present the Keyblade and Character Section.



Keyblade and Character Sheets

Wielder Sheet
Name - ((This can be the real name or a nickname, or both))
Age - ((This largely does not matter, it could be anything, but please nothing ridiculous.))
Gender - ((Male or Female))
Species - ((If human, put human. If not. Well, its up to you really.))
Appearance - ((A picture, description, or both. If description the detail is up to you.))
Keyblade - ((Just give it a name, the actual Bio is farther down.))
Gilder Type - ((Choose from the three types of Glider. Cycle[[ like Terra's]], Board[[like Ventus's]], or Seated [[like Aqua's]]))
Archetype - ((Choose from the usually list, magic, strength, balance, speed, etc. Or make up your own Type))
Shotlock - ((Shotlocks are BBS style uber attacks, play around with different things to personalize your shotlock. Also name and description here.))
Specialty - ((Use in conjunction with your Archetype. Can have more then one, and I'd appreciate descriptiveness.))
Bio - ((This is your character's personal history. It's up to you what you what to include or how long/detailed it is.))
Other - ((This is, at it's most basic, a placement dump for anything I left out that you want in.))

My Character

Wielder
Name - Thursday Von Rike
Age - 17
Gender - Male
Appearance - Thursday is blond, blue eyes. Glasses, green. Bandages, off-white. Red t-shirt, white over shirt with red and blue stripes. Black leather coat with white and orange stripes. Dog tags read: Thursday Von Rike, The Valley. Blue jeans. Gold, sliver, light gray, gray, dark gray armor. Red straps connect shoulder armor to coat. And I cannot draw hands.
Keyblade - Caliburn
Gilder Type - Cycle
Archetype - Magical Bruiser, uses elemental magic to augment his physical attacks.
Shotlock - Thunder God's Strike. Increases Thursday's speed to deliver a string of lightning based blows.
Specialty- Thursday prefers melee attacks, augmented by magic. His list augmented attacks ranged from Blitzes, Surges, Strike Raids, and a handful of self-made moves. Despite his balanced magical ability the only type of spells Thursday is adept with are Thunder spells. ((Thunder, Thundara, Thundaga [[Which is good considering his Keyblade's ability]])) It is these spells he uses to augment his attack. Few of his his abilities are long-range, so he usually realized on Surges of Raids for long distance combat. He is also has excellent concentration, this shows by him being able to manipulate his keyblade on an advanced scale. Able to summon/dispel it in locations other than his hand, as well as other things. Technically he doesn’t even have to hold his keyblade to use it, but he is not quite at that level yet.
Bio - Born in a World that rests near the edge of Hyper-pace, he was just a boy when he was chosen by Master Xela to wield the mighty power of the Keyblade. Taken away by Master Xela to his castle in The Valley of Tranquility he began to train in the art of Keyblade Wielding. Growing slowly in power and strength Thursday has proved adept at manipulating his Glider, Keyblade, and Armor. As it stands now Thursday has trained with Master Xela for ten years. Thursday is an all around good guy and one will never find a more loyal friend. That being said Thursday also has some sadistic tendencies and is apathetic about trivial things. He has not yet taken the Test for the Mark of Mastery, he can, he just doesn’t feel ready yet.
Other - Thursday, despite being a well adjusted individual, is a naturally chaotic being. He likes constant change.

Keyblade
Name - Caliburn
Appearance - See above picture. The key-chain as a yellow lighting blot on it surrounded by a silver star. Handles is off-black leather. Handle, guard area is is silver with flashes of light gray and gray. The blade is a soft sky blue that glows slightly.
Length - Medium
Strength - +5
Magic - +3
Ability - Thunder Rage – Restricts the user to Thunder based magic. However all Thunder based attacks have an increased potency of 10%
Other - The blade of Caliburn is actually ethereal in nature, however when Caliburn is summoned it becomes hard, heavy, and very, very solid.

Actually its the total opposite of a Next Gen, story wise anyway. If this RP was cannon it'd be before KH:BBS chronologically. I'd like to consider it original, but it all honesty the originality is only in the 70-80% range.

As for the TWEWY characters, I'm going to have to say, no. Original Final Fantasy or original Disney are fine though.

Well as long as its not another Keyblade wars one.

Also, shame on the the world ends with you characters....I actually have quite a few collecting dust in the attack. Oh well, I will probably just use my sentient heartless or random keyblade master character.

This is one of my for fun RPs, but I promise to still deliver the level of excellence KAF has come to expect from a St. Rodan's Productions RP!!!

Also Vongo, you're correct in saying this isn't a Keyblade War. The War does feature prominently in the Backstory, but we don't have to fight it.

Yes. I love Kingdom Hearts.
A favorite. I have this Shield Mage that I would like to actually use.

I kinda want to use Magica Despell again...
I used her once for a KH Rp. It was a small post base, but I had fun making spells.

Just curious, would Final Fantasy Tactics or Crystal Chronicles characters be okay with your rp? And I'm talking about the original Tactics, not the sequels. For some reason I don't actually count them as part of the Final Fantasy set in most cases.

If its an official FF character its a NPC.
If its an original FF character its a PC.

So Raven, I don't care if you BASE your character on Tactics or Crystal Chronicles. But you can't play as a preexisting character from them.

Gotta be one of yours. You still interested?

Few things:
BBS is an exclusive game. Not everyone has played it and aren't familiar with the terms. So, if you could, maybe elaborating a little more on the combat system?

That, and about the Ghost Drive.
I want this. I had a character in mind, but if I could have the Ghost Drive I will scrap that entire design for it. But, you'd think the Ghost Drive was a little overpowered right? What's your say about that?

Shotlock -

Holy
    Aimed at the three teeth of his blade where orbs of white magic gather. They concentrate, growing to become large orbs of white magic. When it is fully ready and prepared he can fire off a automatic volley of light natured energy for a short life. It is a temporary attack, that has low damage in terms of the individual white magic bullet, but collectively they can deal massive damage if focused upon one and only one opposition. There is a strong kick behind the rapid fire and a loud bang the moment each and every bullet is fired.

Specialty -

Defensive Magic, Light Based Magic
  • Reflect: Creates a dome of crystal, translucent, magical energy that will absorb most of the incoming damage of an attack and scatter it around the user. The dome is very small, centralized around the user, and can only reflect mid-level to low-level attacks.
  • Null-Element/Barelement: At the cost of considerable energy he can summon forth a small, floating orb that will completely devour one of the 5 consistent elements. Barthunder, Barfire, Barwater, Baraero and Barearth and they will take one attack. He can only summon one orb at once and only one element at a time.
  • Pearl: Can shoot small orbs of white magic out and towards an opponent. The darker the targets heart is or the darker their nature the more damage it will reap.


Gigaplex
    Ability to make one's body surrounded by a one of the four Gigas. This energy is from Solar collection, Light collection and Positivity Absorption and grows stronger the more of the energy is in one place. By collection magical light, Giga becomes stronger, by being in a place full of Solar Radiation, Giga becomes stronger, by being fueled with powerful, positive emotions or being motivated by positive emotions Giga becomes stronger. When all three factors exists simultaneously Giga becomes insanely stronger. The Four Gigas is a magic that comes from the world Mackerauv and is a unique trait among the Anderlu people. It is the strongest magic and considered to be the Symbol of Mackerauv.

    Giga-W is the only Giga that Alx can wield. He is surrounded by a bright, warm white light that radiates from his body like a burning fire. This Giga increases his resistance and constitution to such a degree that it will cut all damage he receives by almost half, be that physical or magical, and makes him even more resistant to dark natured spells and skills. The Giga-W can only be used in an area of bright magical or solar light, as such it cannot be used at night or in a place corrupted by darkness. If the sunlight is covered or blocked at anytime, the Giga-W will weaken until it eventually cancels. If there are clouds the protective effects of Giga-W will lessen and could be reduced to 1/4 damage reduction before it vanishes.


Limit Break: Salvation is performed at the cost of all his energy. This light energy will bring towers of unrelenting light up to heavily damage anything that is seen as an enemy of the target and heal significantly anything that is seen as an ally of the user. This is a bright, wide spread attack that can completely destroy any feeble creature.

Bio - Born in the world Mackerauv which is a world full of mountains. ackerauv has thousands of mountains taller than 70,000 feet and 4 mountains, the Tera, that exceed 300,000 feet up. Mackerauv is an enormous planet with the universe's thickest atmosphere. Because of that, it is impossible to fly into or out of Mackerauv. The temperature of the atmosphere is -132 degrees and anything for a couple miles below is just as cold. The reason all the people haven't frozen yet is due to the core of the planet. The core of the enormous planet is so warm and ejects so much magma that it keeps the entire planet warm. The core is so hot that going anything further than 5,000 feet below most surfaces will result in being baked alive. The core of the planet is estimated to be over 20 Billion degrees and dozens of miles down. No one knows how or why it's so hot, but it keeps them alive so everything is fine. The world could hold about 170 Neptunes and takes years to travel from one end to the other by boat. As such, the planet is the conflicting residence of two extremes. Because of the atmosphere, traveling too high above sea-level is impossible and going too deep into the world is also impossible.

Alx was born in this world. He wasn't the only Keyblade wielder born here though. During the Great Keyblade war a hero from his world took a stand in the fight, raising his weapon and fought the evil of the time. The legendary Bavolio Kimbert. One of Alx ancestors no less. Alx inherited the Giga ability, though his is a more evolved form of Balovio's diversity Giga. Bavolio learned the trade of the 4 Great Giga, being able to manipulate them all, however none of them were white. [Giga-R, Giga-G, Giga-B and Giba-Celestial] All the Giga have been a specific color, though rare have they even been all white. The Giga of protection, the Giga-W is Alx's alone.

Having such a talent didn't go unnoticed either. The arrival of a Keyblade master, Master Ixne, came to his world saying that the young boy had a destiny that he absolutely had to tend too. Ixne took the young Alx, at the consent of his careless parents, and he was taken from Mackerauv. The first time he saw the limitless galaxy was when he was 8 years old and it was a day that he will always remember. The stars, the space, all the worlds too; it was mind altering. As if that started something in the young boy, his entire outlook on life changed.

Guided by Master Ixne, Alx learned to hone his abilities and, eventually, a keyblade found its way to his hand. The Keyblade had been in the hands of Master Ixne the entire time, to make sure that he was ready to have it. On top of physical training, Master Ixne taught Alx a great deal about philosophy and culture. Life and growth of all the many people and all the different types of races and just how special it was was the core of all of Master Ixne's teachings. Alx wanted to protect all of that. He dedicated his life to the goal of the Keyblade wielder and studied hard as an apprentice. Master Ixne was one that enjoyed tests and exams and, well, not all of them were on paper.
Other: Magic and physical strength lower in worlds overrun by darkness. [End of Worlds, Post-Hollow Bastion, Kingdom Hearts]. Being away from light and/or being negative will slowly deplete his magical reserves.

I definitely haven't played BBS, if you look at Shiritoki in the character sections you'll see what I had in mind. This character will be a predecessor to Shiritoki, just in case you make like a later version or do a massive time skip towards the end.

Archetype: Gravity/Affliction Mage uses mana to control and crush the enemies while sapping their health and energy.
Shotlock:
Graviga Overload- Guess Sherry selectively targets all of her enemies and releases a massive number of slow moving gray orbs. The orbs encircle her entire body and flow slowly away from her. Any attacks or abilities that come in contact with the orbs will be absorbed and contain. When she's ready the orbs sap around 70% of her enemies health then the gravity crushes them to the ground. Any absorbed abilities are dispersed into the nearby area damaging her enemies further.

Gravi Bio Barrage: Sherry launches hundreds of massive orbs of poison at her opponents. Has a 75% chance of poison the gravity within the poison smashes the target down to the ground with gravity or launches them weightlessly into the air. Even if the enemy isn't hit directly by the attack there's a 40% chance they'll be poisoned.
Specialty:
Offensive Gravity Magic
  • Gravity: Generates tiny sphere of gravity that can be hurled at the enemy. Each sphere expands just a bit sapping around 15% of the enemies health.
  • Zero Gravity: Generates a anti-gravity filed around the caster that pushes enemies into the air. Enemies that are hit while they are in the air have a higher chance of being confused.
  • Magnet: The user produces a powerful wave of magnetic energy that pulls the enemies closer to them. Pulled enemies will find it harder to dodge or avoid and take +2 more damage from physical skills.
  • Poison: Creates a wave or sphere of poison that poisons the enemy, dealing damage over time.
  • Gravity Raid: User throws keyblade imbued with gravity towards the enemy. Upon impact the gravity expands sapping 10% of the enemies health.
  • Zero Gravity Raid: user throws a keyblade covered in an any gravity field towards the enemy. Upon impact the enemy will be tossed into the air.


Defensive Abilities and Spells:
  • Darkness Screen: Increases the Users resistance to darkness based attacks.
  • Gravity Barrier: Produces a barrier with gravity magic that forces enemy attacks downwards.
  • Gravity Shield: The user generates a massive oval shield infront of them that follows them.

Bio: Sherry Toki was born on a planet known as Etheria. The planets history is unknown all that is unknown that is ruled by a dominating force. The dominating force sounds like a woman and even looks the part when she makes an appearance. She resides in a castle in a region never ventured by the inhabitants of Etheria. The castle plagues the entire planet in a darkness that prevents it from being discovered.

Etheria was born on a continent known as Edea's Prime lead by none other than Edea herself. Edea is a powerful mistress and also Sherry's mother. She is a tyrannical ruler that keeps her land as secure as possible from the dominating force. Edea wasn't expecting a child she just sort of had Sherry out of no where. Her figure was untouched and her body un-fazed by the pregnancy. Edea couldn't argue the birth of Sherry because of how men she's had in the past eighteen or so years. Not having time for Sherry Edea cast aside to the villagers to raise Sherry.

A strange woman began looking after Sherry and ultimately raised her while Edea ventured other planets. This women called herself Ultimecia and despite her own busy agenda she was interested in raising Sherry. Ultimecia took Sherry on many adventures while she raised her showing her most of the world. The villagers kept quiet because of how fearful Ultimecia was and continued on with their daily lives. When Edea fell sick the villagers were forced to tell her who was watching over her child. When they told her Ultimecia was looking after Sherry Edea passed peacefully.

When sherry was old enough Ultimecia began to teach her how to wield a keyblade and became her master and mentor. Sherry treated Ultimecia as a mother figure despite knowing that her own mother never wanted her. Ultimecia never returned any of the emotions she was merely doing as she saw fit. An aspiring keyblade wielder with a tremendously powerful heart was too much to pass up. Even still Sherry's entire life was pretty much secluded from the outside world. Being a keyblade master herself Ultimecia had many things to do so she left Sherry with others she could trust.

Sherry spent most of her times being a vigilante only to see the true natures of people. Growing up with Ultimecia made Sherry cold and ruthless to the point of pessimism. Sherry was growing in a favorable way to Ultimecia she wanted her to embrace the darkness. Two short years ago Sherry witnessed someone drowning a baby and thats when she called Stigma for the first time. Stigma's power and abilities were overwhelming at first. Learning the truth Sherry started to favor the light with a hint of darkness.

Somehow two years later Sherry has found herself in the valley of tranquility. Ultimecia told her thats where her own journey will start and thats where Sherry is looking.
