I have several die-hard Twihard friends who went and saw the first one. Based on their disappointment and what I'd deem good judgment of acting, their opinions can be trusted. One of them stated the acting was downright horrendous, and the script was even worse once they pulled the writing out of the book and threw it on the big screen for the characters to spout mindlessly. Just like I don't need to read the books to know that the material is poor, I don't need to watch the movies to have a similar outlook. Simple as that.

Are you kidding? Any Emmy nominee with even a fraction of sense would never touch such a sellout series as cheap as Twilight. I'd say the only reason Dakota Fanning is in it is because she can't get any credible work now that she's not under the age of 10.

Have you seen the movie yourself? Make your opinion from there. I was an fan. Until I had an ephiany. I can say myself the acting sucked. And the actors chosen for Twilight disappointed me.

For Fanning this is an decent role. Think about it from an actors point of view. She'll get her name out and an hefty pay check and she won't be out of work for a while. Though skill does take an majority of rehiring process I also think they look at how well their jobs did before.

I refuse to sit through that garbage. I can watch the news and know that Afghanistan isn't the best place to go for vacation, just like I can tell that I'm a longshot away from getting my money's worth seeing anything related to Twilight unless it's a parody, and it'd better be a good one, too. And free. Free's always a plus.

Fanning took it because she's not getting work anywhere else, lololololol. That's how it always goes for childhood actors. If anything she'll just slip into the indie film underworld and try to work her way back up from there. Heck, it worked for Christina Ricci, at least...

Plus she's far from being out of work at this point. But I guarantee you that after anyone picks up the script for Twilight and commits themselves to the film, not even half of anyone with legitimate clout in Hollywood will take them nearly as seriously because they won't want their film to star "that one guy/girl from Twilight". Pattison himself said that the only reason he even considered this role in the beginning was because he wanted to be in an American film. Now he'll regret it for the rest of his life because every fangirl will always know him as their skin-of-a-killer dreamboat Edward Cullen and anyone who dislikes the series will call him a talentless hack and a sellout whose acting career is based on the hype of a single series with no real reason for being as hyped-up as it is.

While they will be wealthy and remembered by an already questionable fanbase, they will never have the respect that some of them might even rightfully deserve. That or they just won't have respect. Either way, they dug their own grave the moment they chose to audition.
