According to Spyder, Ichiro Oda has claimed to be a Twilight book series fan.

Suck on that.

Proably, but I'm easily enticed by half naked men with nice chests. And this movie seems to have a lot! omg2.gif

Hi. Let's talk about those abs Taylor rocks, shall we?

I feel awful. He's probably underage. I shouldn't even look at him.

Yeah I'm pretty sure underage too. Looking does not make us pedos. Plus he'll be legal in a year (?). So it doesn't count.

He has some nice abs really nice. His pasty white sparkly vampire brit of an costar should take some advice.

So....very.....pretty.....abs.......

Except Hideo Kojima has no idea how to tell a story without making it both ridiculous and convoluted as hell.

Now there's poor CGI and Dakota Fanning with a larger role! Oh snap!

._. Dakota Fanning has made me want to cut myself ever since War of the Worlds...My guy friend went with me to see Twilight and liked it a lot. hmmsmiley.png I question him though...

Wat?

Dakota Fanning is a fansastic actoress. H-How can you HATE her?! She's been in more movies then I can count, and she's 15!

=/ Twilight's fandom is just crazy. Can't tell good actors from bad anymore.

She only screamed through War of the Worlds, great acting, and her pastiness and buggy eyes freak me out, thyroid condition maybe?

sweeeet.gif I fortunately am not too old for a piece of Taylor Laughtner~

Taylor Lautner is 17. And I'm in a relationship. Sakon, do it good to him for all us old chicks. It is your duty as a woman. Take him from Taylor Swift! DO IT!

I wish I could compete with Taylor Swift. D: She is so pretty, I'm super jealous. He should be a birthday pressie, or maybe I could just get his action figure.

What you want is body building, not working out. Working out will keep Spyder thin as a rail just with really strong, though not defined, muscles.

Hell yes Sakon do it for us old ladys. Take him.

It won't be hard....I think. Then when you get him you must kiss and tell.

Though all I'd want to know is how rad and muscley his muscles are.

It's comforting to know the movie is selling this much purely on smex appeal, you know, since a guy with pecs and six-pack abs has never been seen on film. We don't even have to talk about the (lack of a decent) storyline anymore! sweeeet.gif

Don't hate, Banzai. We know you wish you had Taylor's abs. =/ The storyline in New Moon is actually a bit better than the "meet vampire, fall in love" scenario of the first book.

And not many people actually care that Edward is basically committing suicide. I kinda had my hopes up. >.>

Me? With abs? No thanks. Too much work on the upkeep. Besides, I'd rather pick credible talent than having tweens without any understanding as to what good film (or literature) is swooning over my chiseled stomach any day. Needless to say, the film lacks the former. Anyone can do crunches; not everyone is capable of playing a competent role in a C-grade movie. Well, I take that back. They can. But this fellow sure can't. None of the can. erwhat.gif

From what I've gathered, it's the same story, only now there's a werewolf love interest to cause confusion on our favorite empty-headed heroine's behalf. Gee, what a twist. Didn't expect a shocker like that. boredlook.gif

Banzai, the question really is....Even if they had credible actors would you go see the movie?

Smex appeal is an good enough reason to see any movie. That's why half the guys I know go see movies with Megan Fox in it.

And nearly all the actors in the twilight movies were models (except for an select few) so you can't really blame them for their sub par acting skills. Okay maybe you can.

Pfff, heck no. The acting is something they could improve on should they cast people with general talent; the story itself, however, is something they can't change. If they wanted a good script, they'd have to burn Meyer's series and come up with something completely different. erwhat.gif

Going to watch a movie based on smex appeal isn't watching a movie. It's ogling that anyone could do on their own time. Perhaps they were models, but casting any movie based primarily on physical appearances is folly and deserves to be ridiculed. Sure it'll bring in money and get over-hyped to the extreme, but it's a shoddy tribute to the essence that is film and that, I disdain, especially as one who is aiming to go into production. I can't put all of the blame on the actors themselves, but I can shove the majority of blame onto the casting directors for giving them their roles in the first place and the director alone for allowing his cast to make such poor choices for their characters.

I've not actually seen the movies and I'm sure you haven't. So how can you be so sure they're lousy actors? o__o

They could have cast Emmy nominees and you'd still hate the films. =P
