Considering I don't know where else I could put it, I'll just stick it here. No, it's not a prospective RP idea or looking for prospective sign-ups; it is, however, a request for someone to volunteer and have a spar/fight/whatever with me in the Personal Battles section. I don't care who, so long as they can RP at Level 2 standards or above and will be willing to commit themselves until the fight's over. erwhat.gif

Lord knows RP-ing participation ain't what it used to be, so I didn't want to go through the trouble of setting up conditions and whatnot before I had a definite challenger to go against. I'm more than willing to sit and talk over conditions and whatnot (post count, setting, etc.) so long as someone just picks up the mantle of "Banzai's opponent" and runs with it. sweeeet.gif

Again, I don't care who it is or what kind of character you're looking to use. Thanks in advance. shrunkface.gif

P.S. To any mod: if this is supposed to be somewhere else, feel free to move it. mellow.gif

I believe this counts as 'Discussion', so it definitely feels like it's in the right place. smile.gif

As my personal opinion for your offer, though, you know that I would really take it in a heartbeat-- alas, I still have my unfortunately incomplete adventure with Mr. Magick, which has been put on hold because of my busy schedule, so I really can't make the commitment to complete the battle with you. :<

I'll take your offer in 2 months when I go back to the States, though! :D

Sounds good to me, Negi. It's alright; Jimmy's running with the torch right now as it is. We'll set our playdate for another time. thumbsup.gif

Damn, I can hardly believe people are still playing here. I'll go a few rounds with ya, if you're still up for it.

Possibly in the future, Max. I have always wanted to duke it out with you, so it'd be fitting. Perhaps after this scuffle with Jimmy, no? Seeing as how Negi won't be back for another two months and whatnot.

Ooh, how flattering. Certainly - I'm in no hurry. I didn't even know you were battling now. Some of the best writing is there among the one-on-one fights, I know, but I don't read them as much as I should.

It's all good. The two of us have five or six more posts to go 'til we're wrapped up, and by then I see myself with a little more time on my hands anyways, so as said before, it's fitting.

Beautiful. 'Til then.

I suppose I'll use this opportunity to spy on the enemy. tongue.gif

I suppose it would be, el-oh-el. You still going to use your sledgehammer-wielding giant from before?

I think so. Saves me having to write another character profile, and I never did get to use him before. Well, fine, he was in two battles, but one was abandoned and in the other my opponent was as good as lobotomized. That, and I like sledgehammers. It's my own brand of artistic license - other people like scythes and pieces of string, but my favourite useless weapon is the sledge.

Sounds wonderful. Always thought that guy was quite the character, and an interesting choice for the battles around here. Most folks tend to make their characters small, fast, and sword-brandishing; you were the first guy I'd ever seen to make one titanic, Herculean, and hammer-wielding and still make it effective.

It's nice to know that Officer Drifter's on duty! I feel so safe with him on spamguard. I totally can't wait for this post to be edited either =P!

That's awful peculiar why you say that the rping hasn't been as flourishing as it once was. I wonder why that is though? I mean you g uys have a COOL new system to work with =D! I figured you'd be okay. Maybe I'll oblige your battle request sometime later if you don't mind =o!

Uh... sure? o.O

*shrugs*

If I'd known posting a thread like this here would actually get attention, I would've tried this a while back. >>

Well, y'know, it was the only role playing thread around that one might actually have a chance of getting into.

As for the character, he was always meant to be a low-tier fighter, if you pardon the expression. Hell, he's not even a warrior by profession. Sure, he could kill a herd of elephants with a single punch, but there's only so much brute strength can do in the face of world-rending magics and other cheap and unmanly tricks. wink.gif That's what I like about this setting, though - it allows me to make such a ridiculously, unbelievably strong character without being overpowered.

Finesse is for the weak!
