~Story~
"Video game is a video game". This one person was told many times. Though time after time he has been told this, his obsession for games grew. He started to live his life trying to be a game character. Letting everything fall behind. As his life was going into ruins he met a man in all black. As if the man was trying to conceal himself. Trying to give this poor video gamer some hope, the shrouded man gave the gamer a glass orb the size of ones fist. This was the Orb of Obsession. Through its powers it can bring ones obsession to life. The price however is that the current world being destroyed. The time limit was one year. Once the orb has done its job it will split into several shards into different areas depending on the wish. For example, if one's desire was food. The shards will appear in food all around the world. This obsession however belonged to his gamer. The world where games were real. The wish, thus being fulfilled, the orb separated into 10 shards across the different worlds of games. This was a weapon to test humans to see if they would destroy the world with there obsessions. However with any weapon, there is also a way to stop it. The mechanism of this weapon was each shard will take a part of the earth's energy and tear it apart like the shard themselves. When the shards are all gathered the wish is dispelled and the world becomes safe once more. The problem. Getting people that can actually get the shards.

~Plot~

Ok peoples. Here it goes. You are a gamer. You as yourself in the rp have gaming experience. Each one having different expertise such as rpg, rts, fps, survival. This rp will start right before the wish is made. This is so everyone can introduce the characters properly. Then when the wish is made. The rp characters will appear in a dark 10 sided room. Each side having a door on it. Each door represent a game that is to be played in order to get the shard. in the middle of the room is a stone monument where the shards are to be entered. Every time a shard is entered a bonus is given to the players. Extra lives, weapons, speed, ect. The reason for people appearing in the room is to introduce the characters to each other. When playing a game. One must play by the rules of the game. Meaning invisible walls are still there, in games with limited weapon you cannot carry multiple weapons, max hp, ect. For the sake of the rp however, the games will be shorter as everyone, instead of being transported to the start, will be transported into the middle end of the game. The shards will be in obvious type of places. Such as treasure chests, boss drops, prize, and such. The cool part of the worlds are if you know the game you can beat it fairly easily. Like if we were playing final fantasy x and someone already played it. They can use high level magic to begin with and such.

WAKE UP YOUR GOING TO BE LATE FOR SCHOOL

I woke up to the familiar voice of my mother telling me to wake up. Eyes still red with bags under my eyes from playing video games. Forcing myself up for school and carrying my what seemed to be 1 ton bag pack. I pulled out my hand held and started playing my favorite game Tetris. I always played my game while walking to school in order to pass the time. I do not know how many times I almost have been run over by a car. It is true that video games have became my life. This has narrowed the amount of friends I could have gained. Due to my mom forcing me to exercise however I am not fat or weak.

I arrived at my school twenty minutes later with an hour still left before class will start. The school was deserted except for a certain few who always show up unnecessarily early to school. Being part of the gamers club in school, I walked into the club room and turned on some puzzle games to play. My specialty was puzzle games and rts. RTS stands for real time strategy. I was always into games that required my mind to think outside the box in order to reach my goal. Because of this my mind was a bit unorthodox to many people. I always thought playing video games would drop me into an abyss that I had no way out off, but games were my addiction, my escape from reality.

Little did I know of the events to unfold...

I wake up, horrified at the at the absurd dream I just experienced. I had been trapped inside of the Guitar Hero game, running up the streaming fretboard like a conveyer-belt, so that I didn't get crushed by some spiky cement block that was smashing up and down behind me, but at the same time, I had to stay at the colored circles and jump on them like buttons at the right timing so that I passed the song, otherwise this huge minotaur stage prop would come to eat me. Oh, and also, the song had, of course, been "Through the Fire and the Flames"...on expert. Then, after I finished the song (which I failed), before the minotaur could eat me, it was sliced in half, and then there was Sephiroth standing there with the Masamune pointed at me, and shouted "You forgot to pay your rent!!!" That then ensued in me running for my life, while Sephiroth chased after me, shouting that over and over. Then, finally, I was somehow in a desert, where I ran into Cloud. Cloud wearing a cowboy outfit and riding a chocobo. He had a southern accent and asked me "What's wrong, little lady?" No joke. He really said that. I explained, and then Sephiroth came up and got more specific with his accusation, claiming that I owed him 100,000 gil for rent. Then Tifa came up dressed like a stripper, followed by Vincent, who was nearly drunk off his ---, complete with bottle in a brown paper bag. Conversation ensued and ended with Vincent asking why Cloud was dressed like a "gay cowboy", and then just saying the hell with it and blasting everything with his gun, and throwing me back into the Guitar Hero world.

I haven't even played Guitar Hero before, and it's already ruined for me. I sit up from where I had fallen asleep in front of the TV, playing Assassin's Creed. I have no idea where Altair is right now. I must have somehow gotten some new area open before I was completely asleep, but late enough that I wasn't really aware of it.

And then I look at the clock.

"Crap!! It's already 6:15!" If I don't get my sister and brother ready to go to school and daycare, my mom will be late, and in return make my life hell for the next three days.

"You got your books? Your lunch? Your shoes?" I ask my sister, who just rolls her eyes and answers yes to the first two, but hesitates on the third before running back to her room.
"Have you brushed your teeth, Garret?" I ask my five-year-old brother. He just grins at me to show me proof of his accomplishment. "Very good! now let's get you in the car!"

The drive to school is an uneventful one. I get out of the car and meet up with my friend, Connor, who hands me my copy of Orange Box that he picked up for me after I gave him the money. I can't wait to get home to play it before my mom gets off work...

I fell into an abyss of darkness before hitting flat onto a dusty road. I picked myself up and found that I had been wearing some sort of assassin outfit with a rifle by my side. I looked forward to see Link, oddly dressed as a CT. I lifted my gun and shot him between the eyes before he could even blink.

I had no idea what I was doing... Everything then went black and I found myself in hell, surrounded by beasts all trying to get a piece of me. I shot to and fro, and they just kept coming one by one, more and more relentlessly. I found that I had been standing on a sword, a large claymore. I picked it up when my ammo had depleted and swung crazily. It had become more effective at killing them than the gun, so I began to spin rapidly creating a circle.

The world became a blur and I found not holding the hilt of a swords anymore but instead the soft hands of Riku in a meadow smelling strongly of roses. Before I could think I was being thrown into a hole and I awoke with Link holding a pistol to my head. He squeezed the trigger and I awoke with a gasp.

"Sweet Jesus!" I said grasping my chest. The screen was set paused on doom. I looked at the time. 1:00. "Oh God I got school soon!" (fun fact: Highschools in other countries have people come in 7:30 to 1:00 one week and 1:30 to 7 another. Though the facts he's late on this particular week is kinda strange.)

I grabbed my bag and stuffed it with everything I could and ran out the door before taking a snickers and quickly scoffing it down. I jumped over fences climbed walls and cat onto rails, all these things I had learned from parkour, a particular discipline I found when searching anything for assassins creed.

The trip itself was entertaining as it gave me a chance to really feel like I was in the game. Sneaking onto a wall, jumping from roof to roof rolling to break my fall. This was the only thing that kept me in shape. However I only really used it to show off at a cosplay, when I participated in an exchange program to America that one time. The principal there was weird as he would often keep me locked up in a classroom for sneaking in his office from a second story window and always tell me that it's "For my safety." I had no games, so what else was I gonna do?

As I snapped out of my past reflection I could see the school within my reach. I looked at my clock 1:20 "Wow I came pretty quick!" I said to myself. This was just another day, but for some reason it felt different.

Even though she seems strong, she is actually quite sensitive. Alistar is can be shady and mysterious at times, because she doesnt show her true emotions all the time. Oh, and shes a real sore loser AND winner.
Bio: Alistar just gets bored easily. Family life, ok, school, great. But thats just too boring for adventurous Alis isnt it? So she does the next best thing to an adventure - Play games. Everyday all day. Shes the type of person when shooting or winning, would shout her own catchphrase shes probably copyrighted.

My eyelids slowly opened. I sighed annoyingly. Its so early, so cold. Why are mornings so annoying. I'll jsut snooze for another..5..minut..
"ALISTAR YOU'RE GOING TO BE LATE." The annoying familiar voice shrieked
"GOD FINE." I shouted back to my mum and rubbed my eyes as I sat up. Another late night gaming session left me exhausted. Mornings were real tough. But the games were so fun. She always says im going to be late, and I never am. Anyway, so what if Im late? Ooh, i'll get a warning. Big deal.
I don't care if Im late. Not one bit. Doesnt matter. I checked the clock anyway
"OH MY GOD IM GOING TO BE LATE." I pratically fell out of my bed as I hurridly shoved on my uniform and grabbed a piece of toast as I ran out of the door. "Cant be late cant be late cant be late!" I kept babbling on and on until I reached the car. I checked my watch. NO! I pulled onto the car handle numerous times, before giving up. WHY TODAY!? WHAT HAVE I DONE WRONG!
"..Alistar." My mum said at the door
"WHAT. WHAT DO YOU WANT." I screamed, breathing loudly.
"...You forgot your school bag and shoes." Mum sighed and came over "Anyway calm down. The clock was 20 minutes late." She unlocked the car and got in.
I blinked. Huh? 20 minutes? I checked my watch again.
"Oh." I said and brushed off my uniform. "I knew that."
I sat in the car and wrapped my scarf around my neck, plugging ear phones into my incredibly old iPod and stayed quiet lsitening to my music throughout the whole ride. Im always quiet in cars. Its the only time Im not talking.
My mum dropped me off and I got out of the car.
My school was pretty big. So it took 15 mintues to get to my form room. I didnt care, I liked the walk. Gave me time to finish off listening to my playlist on my iPod. It was unusually quiet today. Not that I noticed much, I was hearing Black rock shooter in my ears and Assasins Creed 2 trailers in my head anyway.

I was playing The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion, I was my Argoninian thief class character. Did mention it was Sunday and had been playing since Friday without sleep. Only the sheer epic-ness of criminal exploits had kept me awake until I finally acquired Guild mastership of the thieves. My focus faded, I feel asleep.

I woke up and stretched my tail, wait my tail? I looked down and I was Argoninian, I looked behind me seeing a sleeping bag in tent, apparently I was at the part of the game's main quest to save the city of Kavacht from an Oblivion Gate. I readed my Crusader's Sword and rushed head first into the red, evil energy that was the Gate. I closed my eyes, the heat of the Gate irritating my reptilian eyes.

When I opened them again I was in a partially ruined city. My reptilian features gone I was now in yellow and black outfit. Slightly freaked I ran, as I ran people of the city hailed me as a hero. I came to a fountain and looked at my reflection. Cole McGrath....This was Empire City from inFamous! I got a call from Zeke. "Hey, man what are you doing! Me and the boys in blue are over in the Neon fighting of Bowser, get over here man!" he said. I pressed talk and said "I'm on my way."

Using Coles electrical power's I arrived in the Neon in no time. Grinding on the power lines I arrived just in time to see Bowser turn into Giga Bowser. He ate me.

I fell though darkness, when I landed I felt smaller, more round. Looking up I saw King Dedede smash me with a hammer, I flew though the walls finding a Power Room. Sucking up the Wheel power I changed into Wheelie Kirby and rolled toward Dedede. One hit and he was flying. Now I was Dedede.

I landed in some grassy meadow, still Dedede. I looked left and right, but before I knew it I was bombarded by a blue blur, then a red comet, and yellow star. Blasting up into the air I scream "It looks like King Dedede is blasting off again------n!" I land in a Pokemon Stadium, in Lugia form, with Luke Skywalker as my trainer. I though It's about time this dream was getting interesting! "Alex use Force!" ordered Skywalker. R2D2 beeped in the background. A giant Donkey Kong was running up to me, so I raised my right wing and said "I am not the Pokemon you wish to battle." I said. "Oook ek yuu cook.." said Donkey Kong. He punched me anyway.

When I came to I was in a red hat and overalls, Luigi was at my side and Princesses Yuna was giving us a mission. "Oh Mario, Luigi! Please save the galaxy from the evil Demon King IceDevimon, and don't forget to rescue the Power Rangers and the .Hackers. They're late for tea with Queen Dumbledore. We nod and get on our way.

This was it, me and Luigi had gathered a ragtag crew of misfit warriors (Link, DK, Cranky Kong, L, Luffy, Goku, Paper Mario, Kite, Albus Potter and three different Black Rangers) to battle King IceDevimon............who had Digivoleved into Rune Mother. Fan-fugging-tastic. Then Mother unleashed her Limit Break: Transform.

It was me alone, I was an original character: Dee the Black Mage! (Who if you haven't guessed in from FF 1) I faced Rune Mother. I raised my hand and said "OK Mother now it's my turn for a Limit Break. Mana Pillar!"

A huge beam of pure magic came from the sky; it was as big as Texas! It hit both me and Mother. I awoke.

I was viciously strangling the crap out my best friend in the school grounds. "I the, who the, what the?" I asked. My friend replied. “Your mother dressed you during your 'I played a video game for three days straight coma' and brought you here! You started to wake up because you started saying 'DIE MOTHER' and you attacked. Which by the way I will stab you for latter. Now come on the bell's about to ring."

After a long battle with Seymour, we all gathered together again and stopped for a break at the nearest inn. Yuna by far had needed the most rest out of us all, for she used almost all of her Aeons, just to block us from getting any damage.

So while Yuna was resting, I was standing outside in the lobby with everyone else, and a few other customers. As I looked around, I saw Lulu and Wakka talking about something in a quiet tone in the corner. Who knows what they could be talking about. Then I saw Rikku and Tidus outside; Rikku was teaching Tidus some spells to use in battle, since he doesn't know as much as the rest of us. But out of everyone, I couldn't seem to find Auron and Kihmari. Where could they have gone?

"Kihmari, I sense danger. Go inside and tell everyone to prepare themselv--" Auron was interrupted by a whistling sound, coming from the sky. Frantically, everyone ran outside, pointing and looking at the sky. A large creature was coming toward Spira at full speed, ready to crash into all of us at any moment.

"It's an Aeon!" Rikku said, with a hint of excitedness as well as fear in her voice.

Quickly I grabbed my bag up off the ground, and busted into Yuna's room. I awoke the summoner, and we all ran outside, prepared to defend ourselves, as well as everyone around us. That was until, a loud ringing sound went off. We all were instantly deaf, and from that point, all I could see was white. It was all around me, and eventually it faded to black.

"WOAH!" I exclaimed, as I sat up in my bed. Could this dream of mine be real? It couldn't be, this is the real world. But still, it was so vivid, I could literally hear everything, see everything, feel everything.

Finally realizing where I was, I took a look at my digital clock. It read 7:20. School started at 8. While I did the math in my head, I realized I only had 40 minutes to get ready and run to school. I live a mile away too, so this was going to be a challenge. Frantically I put on whatever I could find laying around on my floor, grabbed my iPod, DS, cellphone, and sweatshirt, and ran out the door.

I could hear the school bell ringing from where I was. Hopefully I could get in unnoticed.

As I snuck into my first period class, I didn't know that soon, the fate of the world would rest in my hands.

I walk into Spanish class and sit down in my assigned seat, next to him. Why is he always alone? Every time I see him, he never really seems to have a group of friends. He's always willing to add a random comment, or to join in a joke, but he never really stays near anyone. Then again, the only time I ever really run into him is in Spanish class, and before school even starts, seeing as I leave the building after lunch to go to my college classes. Maybe I should invite him to sit with the rest of the group at lunch or something?

Actually, wait. I take that back. He has one good friend that I know of. His friend is a good buddy of mine, as well, so occasionally, this guy and I meet outside of class.

"Hey, Alex!" I greet, holding out the case. "You said you were looking to borrow Assassin's Creed?"

He looks up from where he has his head rested on his arms. Oops--I woke him up. He blinks at me a few times, as if trying to remember what I'm talking about. "Oh!" He snatches the game from my hands. "Right! I forgot that I mentioned that to you yesterday. I thought you said you weren't going to be done with it for a while, though?"

I laugh. "This is the fourth time that I've woken up after two hours of sleep and four hours of gameplay. I need to take a break from it before I refuse to let go of the controller."

Alex nodds, a small smile on his face. "I know that feeling so well."

So that's why he's so quiet today. He's exhausted...and he looks like his mother dressed him. Yikes. Aaaaaannyway...

"So, did you remember to do the 'Mas Practica' page from last night's homework?" I ask, pulling mine out for him to copy if need be. He does well enough in this class, fudging one night's homework isn't gonna throw him too outta practice.

Having reached the last level I decided to get a breath of fresh air outside. The morning was unusually colder then usual. Having nothing heavy to wear on I went into my first period class room where the heater was on. I said my salutations to my teacher as I found my desk to rest my head upon. The warmth was very comfortable and relaxing. Dozing off to sleep once more my eyes closed. My tired body unable to open my eyes went into a slumber. There I had a dream.

Everything was dark, but for one piece. In the middle lay a pedestal. Engraved in it was 10 sockets in which something like crystal can be fitted into. I walked over to try and touch it, feeling drawn towards it. It provoked every kinds of desire I had. My wish was to touch it. Take it. Make it mine. A little bit closer I said to myself. Closer. Closer. Closer. Until I was at arm reach. I stretched out my arms to grab a hold, but suddenly a gush of wind pulling me back with a roar of a thousand lions.

I opened my eyes. Wincing at the light piercing through the darkness. I was awake once more. Class has started. Notes have already been written on the board. It was twenty three minutes into class. I looked around with a blank stare. Everything was back to normal.

Ah Mr. Lee. Finally awake are we. I didn't bother to wake you seeing as how you would already know everything. since you are awake. Lets have you solve this problem on the board shall we.

I looked at the teacher with a distant eyes. Look through his very soul. Replying with a nod I walked up to the board. The smell of expo markers inducing a head ache. I looked at the problem. It was a simple algebraic equation where on must find the value of the given variable. With the marker in my hand I started solving the problem. At the end the answer. As always. Feeling satisfied by my answer i walked back towards my seat whilst my teacher applauded on my accomplishment.

Everything seemed monotone. The usual me gone. Today had a weird vibe. Something I could not shake off. As my super long four our math class ended I walked for lunch. The reason my math class being so long was I had taken a test that deemed me proficient enough at all the academics besides math, in which I fell asleep on. Stomach grumbling I ran towards the food stand before it was crowded and got myself a pizza. Seeing as how everyone was eating outside i went to the mini cafeteria where it was usually deserted and started eating.

Whilst I was eating I happened to look around the walls to see the decorations. The paint was red with a sky blue background. The red intertwined with each other through out the room. An ominous feeling. Maybe. Oblivious while trying to perceive. I went on eating.

After Kyra gave me Assassin’s Creed the rest of the day was a blur. I feel asleep in every class before lunch and like Harry Potter's form OoTP it was the same one over and over. At first in was exactly like my Sunday dream, but instead of Empire City after the Oblivion Gate it was this black room of nothing. Nothing but a pedestal, engraved in it were 10 sockets in which something like crystal could be fitted into. I never tried to touch it, my thief personality Kanzer Ne-Yuja, always holding me back.

My Kanzer personality always holds me back during this dream I had 50 times in one class alone. My Kanzer personality will look at the pedestal with scrutiny, staring at the thing for what felt like 10 minutes before commenting "We aren't meant to get near, not yet. A thief knows when not to steal as well when to take everything." After this comment Kanzer will release control, giving sway to Draco East, one of my more prominent personalities.

When Draco looks upon the pedestal he looks on with a Paladin's eye, he comes to the same conclusion as Kanzer. I am not meant to touch; I wake up after Draco's monologue.

It is lunch, I am side by side with Kyra and my almost strangled friend from earlier, we head to the mini-cafeteria with our pizza, there is only one other person in there. We all grab a table, at the first bite of pizza I awaken considerably, one of my more peppy personalities taking over the process, ladies and gentlemen say hello to Skippy. The transition was flawless and my two companions never noticed, I think. I mean if anyone found out that I had M.P.D I get tossed in the Looney bin.

As I ran I saw a girl walking and listening to some kind of Mp3. "So, I'm not the only one who's almost late for class." I thought jumping down. I rolled to break my fall and continued running, crossing paths with her. I gave the girl a nod before climbing and jumping into a window to save time from walking up stairs. I reached class in time, my teacher would always have me come in earlier, does he have a grudge against me? I took my seat after 2 minutes of inspecting the room and instantly I fell asleep. My position was stiff and it looked as if I was staring at my page and writing the whole time. When the bell rang and I awoke again.

Lunch came surprisingly quickly, it was at that moment I realized I had no food. It was no big deal, I rarely ate anyways. It seemed like a waste of time actually. At school though, he had nothing to do and instead focused his time in perfecting that art of "moving like assassins creed"
while practicing he noticed that the girl he saw this morning was sitting down close to him.

Jumping down he sat next to her "So... Make it to school in time?" he asked.

The day was...fuzzy. Thats the best way I could explain it. I was too tired, my eyes were so hard to keep open it was hard to keep track of what happened in the day. It just passed by like a blur. I was already in my dreamland anyway, so getting told off for not keeping attention didnt affect me that much. The bell for lunch rung and my stomach was rumbling. Good timing, I thought and went inside the mini cafe.
Barely anyone was there, they were all outside
"Its a nice bright sunny day," All the teachers had said earlier. "So enjoy it while it lasts!" Not that the other students needed much encouragement to go outside.
I decided to sit on the table that was the only one witha group of people. I sat down, turned on my ipod on full blast and just slept.
...
It was dark. It was cold.
I looked around, I was ina dull city, standing infront of some grey palace that had like, I don't know, 50 steps.
"..Where am I..?" I whispered. My voice immediatly was taken my the freewzing winds and echoed through the empty city. It was just calm..
Suddenly, a bunch of medival dressed knights ran in behind me and pulled out some huge guns and started to shoot at me. I recognised this scenario somewhere..but where?

I didnt feel fear. I don't know why. Probably because I knew myself it was a dream. But I still thought it would be a pretty good idea if I tried not to get shot, so I ran up those 50 something steps and into the pitch black palace. I did bump into some random guy with blue hair on the way. I looked back at him leaving the palace and watching him go down those 50 something steps (actually as I was looking at them now inside the palace they looked more like 60 something), and then I recognised him. I recongised the palace. I recongised the knights. Heck, to make the story short I remembered the whole damn city.
"HEY! WAIT! YOUR THAT FINAL FANTASY DUDE!" I shouted. But he didnt even freaking listen and just went outside getting shot by those medival guys. I sighed, irritated, and gave up to turn around.

There was a single spotlight in the compelte darkness, lighting a pedestal.
"Oh. Cool." I said to myself. Maybe my brain was like, supernatrual. And it was letting me know what was coming up in the next Final Fantasy Versus game. There were holes in the sides of the dark stone pedestal. 10 tiny pockets, with imprints in the shape of crystals, or minerals. I slowly walked towards it, my hand out. There was something so hypnotising about it. Some force was dragging me in to it. Then, a loud voice roared through my ears. Ugh, someone was trying to wake up up. I was just so close to the pedestal....

I woke up suddenly by the guys voice.
"ULTIMATE POWER." I shrieked. I did get a few weird glances from some people, and I rubbed my eyes and took my earphones out.
"Oh. Nevermind." I shook my head, and then the question finally registered in my brain. "Just about. Only a 500 word essay on why being late is wrong." I wearily smiled and yawned, taking a bite out of my half eaten apple. He seemed to understand.
I looked over accross the lunch table. There was another tired guy who was half asleep and some girl practicing over some language. What was that language anyway?
"Is that French?" I asked her out of the blue.
She looked up from her paper. "Que? Oops. No its spanish. Close enough, though."
"Oh. Im Alistar by the way." I waved. "So..you lot are?"

"I'm Kyra," I say, closing the spanish book. "I don't think that I've seen you before. Are you new?"

Alistar shakes her head. I realize that I really need to work on being more observant of things outside of the gaming world.

"And this is Alex," I introduce him, seeing as he's currently occupied by the consumption of his pizza. He seems to finally be in a more energetic mood, now that he has something to eat. good. And that reminds me...

"Hey, I've got some extra cannelloni leftovers that I made for dinner last night. There's enough to share if anyone wants some," I pull out the container of food. When I sit with my usual friends, I generally bring hte leftovers to share and feed them all a few times a week. But today, no one really showed up. Strange.

I offer the container to the only person without food so far. "You want some... er..."

"Wolfenstein." He introduces himself with the short, succinct sentence. I remember that he's the kid who moves like he could be Altair's little brother. Right... "How 'bout you, Alistar?"

First period was certainly unproductive.

The room was very warm, especially in comparison to that of any of the other classrooms on this floor. The heat coming from the heater was at just the right temperature to lull me into a deep sleep.

I was standing in the middle of darkness. I couldn't see a thing in front of me, until I saw a light shining from my pocket. It was my DS. I opened it up, and the screen served as a flashlight. But there was something on the touch screen. A note, of sorts.

"Destiny awaits you. Use the light to find your path, you will know what to do from there."

I held out my DS, screens facing outward. I could say a staircase, not to tall or long, leading up to a platform. Slowly I walked up the steps, which seemed to be made of cobblestone. As I reached the platform, something was located in the center. It was like, a pedestal. It had ten indents all around it. I felt like something was meant to fit in each of them.

An unknown force was bringing me closer to the pedestal. I don't know what it was, but it was something beyond my control. As I put the DS in my pocket, I reached out to touch it.

Ding... ding... ding...

I awoke. The bell rang, dismissing us for our next class. Well, it wasn't really a class. It was lunch period. I rushed downstairs to the cafeteria. The lunch line was so full. Luckily my mother had packed me a cold lunch and snuck it in my bag before I rushed out the door.

I was so nervous. I didn't know who to sit with. Then, I saw a table of about five people all my age. Two girls, three guys. Something about them seemed friendly. I walked over to the table.

"Uhh, hey you guys." I said as I sat down apprehensively.

"Hey. does the school seem a bit strange to you today?" I said sensing something was strange since the principal hadn't kept me in for lunch, especially since my Altair moments seem to be getting more extreme.

Everyone looked at me strange. Maybe it was him and nothing was really strange with the school. "You know what I will have some." I said reaching for some cannelloni trying to change the subject. "So what games have you guys been playing?" I finally said changing the subject to something more home turf.

Everyone seemed a little more relaxed or energetic when the question popped up. Perfect question to get things going.

(Just to let you all know, I will be talking as if I am my character, so you will see a lot of "I"'s instead of Ralph said, etc.)

As I sat down at the lunch table, everyone looked at me for maybe one millisecond, and then gave me a welcoming smile.

"Hello. I'm Ralph, it's nice to meet you all." I said to the kind faces.

Introductions continued from there, and then Nick gave us a question prompt.

I responded by saying "I've been playing a lot of Dragon Quest VIII lately. It's a really enthralling RPG. It does get very challenging at times though."

I was listening. Honest. But I found it so hard to concentrate, and it was so hard to make out what they were saying. I just wanted to put my head onto the table and sleep..even though I wasnt evem that tired. I'd been feeling like this ever since I had that weird dream.
Something inside of me urged myself to open the lunch doors and go outside to check something out. I don't know what that something was. I just had a feeling that I should check the doors.
I shook my head, and my deep thinking stopped. I still had that want to open the doors though. I rested my head on my hand and lazily looked up at the clock. I know, I have a watch. I was just too lazy to actually lift my head up and then look down again at my watch. Seriously, who has the energy for that?
"..Hey, isnt lunch over?" I said.
"I don't think so. The bell hasnt rung." Kyra answered
I checked the clock again in the cafeteria.
"Hm..strange. Clock says it was supposed to ring," I blinked "Like, 15 minutes ago, actually."
"Thats weird." Wolfenstein suddenly said, examining the clock aswell. "Oh. Nevermind. The clocks just stuck. Thats probably why the bell hasnt rung, it isnt time yet."
I shrugged, and checked my watch. My watch was stuck aswell.
"..Ok, now this actually is weird." I tapped my watch with my fingernail.
"What is it?" Kyra said
"Watch is dead.." I sighed, annoyed. I pulled out my ipod to check the time on that. "..The times stuck on here aswell.."
Ralph pulled out his phone "I can check the time on her for you, if you want." He pulled it out. His smiley face turned into a confused frown as he started to tap numerous buttons. "Hmm..yeah, mines gone aswell."
Then almost at the same time, everyone pulled out their own phones and hand held consoles and other gadgets to check the time
"Dead." They all said one after another.
"Oh! Ralph I never knew you had a DS. What games?" I said happily
"Well, I've only got a few but-" Ralph started
"You know you guys, I think time has actually stopped." Kyra interrupted Ralph.
There was silence, and everyone stared at each other for a moment. I wasnt scared at first, because seriously, who would believe time would actually stop? I checked all of my gadgets again. It began to dawn on me that maybe it was possible after all. Then I remembered the urge I had earlier
"Check the doors." I said quietly. "Someone check the doors."
(WOOAHH! *pulls in fishing line* We caught ourselves a big Dialog/Speech Fish! What a whopper!)

I, as in Skippy was enjoying my control of our body, but I was especially enjoying the pizza. I was so blissfully unaware of the world around me that I didn't notice anything until it was to late. My friends started to freak out about time. It was at this moment I gave way to Dave, or the serious personality.

Slowly I stood up, so slowly it I doubted anyone would notice. Reaching my arm out I punched the table under me so hard it broke. When all eyes were on me, I spoke. "It seems," I began "That something has happened here. Something not unlike the games we treasure. So if there is anything I have learned form said games; it's what to do when time stoops." Going over to the doors I looked out, and it was true. Time had stopped, if I needed anymore evidence there was a nerd stuck in mid-wedgie, both feet completely off the ground. The sight startled me into Shagg the scared persona.

"G-g-g-uys," I said "You might want to see this." I was shaking! Time stopping, that's outrageous!

I ate my pizza silently enjoying the silence of the empty room that brought solitude within its confines. That is until people started to show up. I looked around as more and more people showed up and started sitting in the same table as I. Seeing as how everyone was introducing themselves. I went ahead and introduced myself.

My name is Kole Lee, everyone calls me kolee however so nice to meetcha.

As I finished my pizza I and the introductions I fell to a light nap from food coma. Only grunting at certain comments. I only opened my eyes when the people around me started to panic. Something about the time being frozen. Looking around I thought It was simply another dream. I decided to play tetris again since boredom has overcome me. As I turned on the game system instead of the normal usual sounds and opening a black screen showed up. Writing also slowly appeared as if oozing out of the screen.

A game is awaiting to be played. Do you accept?

The message was clear. Under it said press A for ok and B for deny. Being an extreme gamer I could not stop myself from press A. A sudden rumble went across my body. Almost immediately i fell unconscious.

Feeling Cold I woke up in dark room surrounded by ten doors. Each door represented a game. In the middle the pedestal of my dreams. Bewildered I decided to sit and rest to think things through.

I checked my phone when Alistair noticed the time. My phone must have been malfunctioning or something, because it wasn't showing the time. I also couldn't call, receive, or send texts.

I put down my sandwich, and talked with the others. Kyra and Kolee were taking out all of their electronics, to check the time. Nick and Skippy / Dave got up from the table, to see if the clocks on the wall were just stuck.

This was no coincidence. All of a sudden, Kolee fell asleep in front of his Gameboy. Alistair ran over to check the doors, which were locked.

"What are we going to do?" I said, looking around the cafeteria. But something was missing. More than something. Everyone who wasn't sitting at our table had vanished. Did they all leave without the six of us noticing?

And then as if something was controlling them, all of our electronics turned on at once, displaying the same message. I pulled out my DS, and the others followed suit with their own electronics.

I read the message to myself, before reading it aloud. "A game is waiting to be played? Do you accept?"
