I think movies cheer me up more than series, especially any of the Studio Ghibli material. |

Anime like xxxHOLiC or Shugo Chara always cheer up for some reason. Really cool fight scenes cheer me up, too. Like ones from Reborn! or One Piece |

Bleach, Full Metal Alchemist and Naruto for their combination use of action, horror and humour. They always have the best laughs in the middle of serious situations.
The best anime for a real laugh thats clever, hysterical and makes you feel better is Ouran High School Host Club, especially the twins (Hikaru and Kaoru) driving Tamaki and Haruhi insane. -------------------

Nerima Daikon Brothers. The songs are hilarious and I love how the american cast basically rewrote the whole thing to make it funnier. -------------------

Let's see.
Well I love Azumangah Daioh and that always makes me smile. It's so light hearted and hilarious. Hare+Guu. that show is just on the awesome scale. Shugo Chara because it is so cute and I love Yoru. And finally Lucky Star, the simplicity just makes me smile. It may dry and slow but I still love it. Oh Konata you otaku -w- |

Although not a series, Howl's Moving Castle and most Studio Ghibli films make me feel better. Girl who leapt through time also puts me in a good mood. Something about them makes you feel good even if the story/plot is dark. -------------------

but making happy series, I think the best are Kamichu (ohmygosh, so cute + beautiful art) Hanamaru Kindergarten (ohmygosh, also cute + makes you smile) (: -------------------

Tokimeki Memorial ~Only Love~ (Riku and Sayuri moments), Gakuen Utopia Manabi Straight! (perfectly inspiring student council lead by energetic and motivated Manabi) and Princess Resurrection (I love Princess and blood warrior relationship). |
