Hitoshi Ashinano who is the creator of my all time favorite manga, Yokohama Kaidashi Kikō is on my list. I'd also say Mori Kaoru for her beautifully detailed art and stories. Most of them happen to be historical tales, but she can recant the design and feel of the times in her manga fluidly.
There are plenty of Mangaka whose works I love, but Mori Kaoru is definitely one of my tops. -------------------

Good lord, there are so many. My favorites are (and in no particular order): Kaori Yuki (Angel Sanctuary), Ryoko Fukuyama (Nosatsu Junkie), Miwa Shirow (Dogs), Katsura Hoshino (D.Gray-man), Akira Amano (Katekyo Hitman Reborn), Jun Mochizuki (Pandora Hearts), Clamp (oh come on), Masashi Kishimoto (Naruto), Touya Mikanagi (Karneval), Amano Yoichi (Akaboshi -Ibun Suikoden-) and finally the collaboration between Youn In-Wan and Yang Kyung-Il (Defense Devl).
Hope that wasn't too much. |

I always have respect for CLAMP. They're an amazing team of artist and I never get tired of their work. I like Hiromu Arakawa too for Full Metal ALchemist just because her style's so different. Also Arina Tanemaru who made Full Moon. Very pretty art there. |

Atsushi Okakubo, anyone who places a manga series in NAVADA, USA wins.
Tite Kubo, because I somehow still get [censored]ed at him. No matter what. Arina Tanemura for her artwork, and lovable characters. CLAMP for creating some of my favourite manga ever. -------------------

If I had to pick one it would probably be Atsushi Ohkubo, since two of my favorite manga are produced by him. (B. Ichi and Soul Eater) I like the style of the artwork, the sense of humor in them, the powers and characters in both series, so I figure he has got to know what he is doing.
He also was an assistant in Get Backers, though I have only read a little bit of that. -------------------

Eiichiro Oda. What an imagination. He's managed to keep me reading One Piece for what feels like ages. Even with these dreadful one-week stalls he throws out every now and again, he's a man to be credited. -------------------

Araki is probably my favorite. He's a brilliant madman. Oda and Fukumoto are also in my favorite author list. The classic ones would be Ishinomori (Kamen Rider), Tezuka (Black Jack), Go Nagai (Devilman), and Matsumoto (Captain Harlock). (Forgot to mention Yokoyama Mitsuteru. I love Sangokushi.)
