a little over sharpened on the render/stock imo. but I love the effects, especially the blur and how it's supposed to look like she's pulling the gun up. :'3 Although, her right (my left) shoulder looks a little weird with the sort of double. >.> Other than that, it looks great~

number 5 would be my second choice, I just didn't really like the text, and I couldn't really make out what the picture was. .-.

Hmmm hard decision...

The left part looks reasonably good ,but the right part looks... weird ;/
I don't mind the text ,but the bg on the right part looks really weird ;/

Except that ,everything looks good :]

It's eye candy.
In my eyes a piece of art, good motions and a generally kickin' attitude to the image.
There's one thing though, the hand holding the gun seemed to go forward and not sideways like the rest of the body and arm does, it took some time for me to figure out how it was supposed to be.
It bothered me a little as I couldn't get together how the pose before she started moving would be.

#5 gmv. I like the flow and how clean the overall sig looks. I'm not too fond of the text but it doesn't bother me too much. The contrast is also very nice.

I like the kinda black and white style it has to it, and Black Lagoon is awesome. I don't really know the other animes.

I like the effects that were used here, unfortunately, some of those effects are too varied, and clash with the intended style. I see some indication of flow in there, and the comp isn't bad. The text is. I'd look up some text tips, I'm sure you can find them around on tutorial websites like Planetrenders and Animerender. Other than that, your whole piece is severely over-saturated, and that saturation also makes the piece very monotone. Good effort.

I like where this piece was headed, I might've even voted for this entry, but to me it still looks like a WIP. You've done some nice lighting, but everything seems unfinished, you have the plain black gradient on the sides, which could use some work, and there's still a lot of negative space in the foreground. I'm losing your render behind the lighting effects, while this gives it some depth, your focal should be more prominent. I like that you've mixed in some other colors in here besides the blue. If you work on these issues, maybe add some text, this piece will be 20 times better. Keep it up.

Your concept is pretty good, and I dig some of your background effects. The sense of flow in this piece needs to be stronger, try making some of your effects work with the focal's direction, not against it. Your render is another issue, it seems almost squished, and that may be from the fact that most of the head is cut off. I know it's hard to fit a render and have all the parts you want, sometimes you just have to use a bigger canvas! Again, colors are very monotone, almost black and white, but not quite. I think this piece would look good with some more color. Keep at it.

I'm glad you decided to use some bright colors! But I see you struggled a bit with trying to blend your render. While you succeeded in mixing the background and effects with your focal, you also made the background visible through your focal, that's not good! It also looks like you kind of just slapped on that bright effect at the bottom, which destroyed any sense of flow or comp your piece had going for it. Read up on some tuts for basic techniques (lighting, blending, depth, flow, comp, etc...) Good effort.

Nice, clear and visible focal. Good sense of depth and general lighting. The text isn't bad, but the white text could be smaller, shorter, and/or less visible. I like the comp here, and you've established a good sense of flow, all I'd like to see would be some work on the left side, where it looks a little empty compared to the right. And a little more color for contrast wouldn't hurt either! Great job.
