Days of Eternity (Expected Title)

Prequel:

It was just a normal day. One like any other. Then why is it that everything fell apart? I stepped outside and the sky was red. I took a step forward and the ground shook violently. I turned my head and people began jumping out of their windows. I gasped and thunder rang through the air. I breathe and smog begin to fill my lungs. My eyes began to tear and a fiery rain began to fall. I burned and the world around me erupted into flames. I cursed the world and the world began a new. My vision fades and I forget...

Plot:

In five days the world ends. You don't know this. You have never remembered such a thing has happened. But, lately you've been having nightmares. Nightmares of gruesome deaths. the deaths of your family, the deaths of friends, and your own demise. How many times has this happened? Who knows. In five days, the world ends. In five days the world falls apart and eveyone dies. But who would've suspected such a thing? It's impossible to realize, everything was still normal until that day.

In five days, the world ends.

Setting:

A small town. The town has a close community and is quite friendly with one another. The city and what not are somewhat far away and there are hardly any visitors to such a place. The place would feel rural-ish, there are farms and forests around the area.

(I'll work on the settings a bit or if someone wants to help.)

Anyways, this is just an idea that popped into my head. And yes, I'm quite aware it sounds like Higurashi. In fact, I did base it off of it. So, this RP would be somewhat of a mystery RP. You have five days to solve these things. However, as RPers I hope you know how to act in character. Anyways, if you don't solve everything in five days, don't worry. The RP will reset to day one. Your character will forget everything and you'll continue. Of course, your character will only have remnants of past memories in their nightmares or a sense of deja vu. But nothing more than remnants and only parts of memories that stood out the most. Following the rules of Higurashi a bit, the moments before you die are extrememly fuzzy so you won't remember what happens.

Also, your character are normal people. They don't know magic. They may have basic fighting skills but they don't own any "weapons". And I mean like swords, katanas, and what not.

Anyways, how this RP will work is simple, I dictate what happens in certain areas where your characters are and we'll see what happens from there. I'll draw up a crude map later. Also, I'll make up a character sheet later. But as for now, I'd like to gauge the potential of this RP and see how many people are willing to participate.

Areas:

School - Since the village is quite small there is only a need for one school. The school teaches all kids from elementary school to high school students. Students who wish to enter college go to either cities for further education/college. The school is taught by three teachers.

Clinic - A clinic run by only a handful of people. Although, the clinic suffices in treating all of their patients.

Library - A modest library containing more than enough books for the entire village to enjoy. The library also containes various folklore of the town.

Farms - Since the village is quite a rural area there are plenty of farmland in a certain area. The farms generate a fair amount of produce which is sold in the shopping district or outside of the village.

Burial Grounds - An area on the opposite side of the lakes were the deceased of the village are buried. Traditionally, the people of the village will travel to the burial grounds every year to pay their respects to their ancestors.

Mines - The mines are still open and thriving. The main mines holds resources such as coal and ore. Rarely, a pocket of diamonds are found and the entire village celebrates using the money earned from the sale of them. An abandoned mine can be found near the north western lake and was closed down due to a mine collapse.

Mountain - An inactive volcano which hasn't erupted in the past few centuries. Because it used to be a volcano the mines are rich with ore.

City (West) - A small city which has a hospital for the village. If an emergency ever arises in where the people of the village need an operation they will be transported to the hospital in the west as quickly as possible. This city is on friendly terms with the village and checks up on them. This is the city from where the village gets most of their information. It takes roughly 25 minutes to reach the city by car.

City (South) - A large city. The city is full of department stores and what not. There are several of colleges in this city and is the place where most college bound students head to when they wish to further their education. It takes 4 hours to get there by car.

Ghost Town - An abandoned relic of the past. The town of the villages ancestors. It was abandoned back when the volcano was still active. The villagers moved to their current location to avoid the poisonous fumes and magma the volcano produced. Amazingly, some of the structures in the ghost town are still standing and somewhat sturdy. However, the villagers never go near the area.

Lake (North West) - A natural body of water where most of the forest animals gather.

Lake (East) - A pristine lake. The villages most prized natural scenery other than their forests. Sometimes people from the city visit to take pictures of the lake or enjoy themselves during vacation. The villagers make sure to watch these people and make sure they do not litter or anything of the sort.

Wildlife: Because the village is surrounded by forests there are plenty of wildlife that live in these forests. There are foxes, snakes, and what not living in the forest. Sometimes there are a pack of wolves who roam the forests but they usually reside to the north around the area of the ghost town.

School:
Yuuki Ono - The teacher in charge of the younger kids (Elementary School). She's 26 years old. A kind and caring woman who looks out for those around her and her students. She's 5'6", has long brown hair that reaches to midway down her back, and is the object of infatuation of many of the students in school. Her cup size is a C.

Aya Mitsuru - The teacher in charge of the teens (Middle School). She's 27 years old. A strict teacher although she does what she thinks is best for her students. She's 5'5", short black hair, and has a slender frame. Her cup size is A.

Daisuke Zen - The teacher of older teens (High School). He's 29 years old. He's somewhat lenient but he takes his lessons seriously. He's 5'9", well groomed short black hair, and is the infatuation of many of the girls at school. He has a medium build.

Kei Houzen - The principal of the school. He's 45 years old. He takes much pride in his students and is kind. Although at certain times he can resemble a demon. He's 6'2", black hair that is tied into a ponytail that is somewhat long, and is rather well built.

Clinic:
Souichiro Hanagami - The head doctor of the clinic. He's 26 years old. An intelligent man who makes sure to give his patients the utmost care. He's 5'7", slightly long brown hair, and he's somewhat thin. He looks rather normal.

Chiie Daizen - A doctor of the clinic. She's 25 years old. Although, she is not as capable as Souichiro she does her best to make sure her patients leave healthy. She's 5'7", has long black hair that is tied into a ponytail, and she's somewhat tan. Her cup size is a B.

Mei Nanaya - A nurse of the clinic. She's 22 years old. A kind woman who makes sure the patients are at ease before seeing the doctors. She's 5'4" and has brown hair that reaches her shoulders. Her cup size is a B.

Library:
Emi Kanako - The librarian of the library. She's 22 years old. An intelligent woman who is somewhat quiet at times. She's often caught up in reading a book but still manages to notice her surroundings. She's 5'5", has black hair that is tied into a bun, and is somewhat thin. Her cup size is a B.

Mines:
Ryuu Masamune - A miner. He's 22 years old. A strong young man who spends his days working in the mines of the village. He's capable of doing many things requiring physical labor and is quite hardworking. He does his best to finish his job. He's 5'11", has short spiky brown hair, and is well built. A rugged looking man.

Jiro Kasai - A miner. He's 24 years old. A fiery individual with fierce determination. He takes his work seriously and is extremely diligent and quick in his field of expertise. He's 5'9", has short black hair, and has a tattoo running across his entire right arm. He looks somewhat normal but his strength is comparable to that of most miners.

Farms:
Genji Shiro - A farmer. He's 63 years old. An old man who still works on his field everyday waiting for his son to come back from college to take on the family business. A rather interesting old man who has plenty of stories to tell. He's 5'5", has short white hair, and looks somewhat frail. Although, he looks frail he has the strength to work on the field everyday.

Kenji Shiro - A farmer. He's 60 years old. An old man who helps his brother out on the field. His family is still in the village but he wishes to help out his brother. A kind old man who takes care of his family. He's 5'6", has gray hair, and looks healthy (with a somewhat big belly).

Yazen Muramasa - A farmer. He's 62 years old. An old man who continues working on his field tirelessly. He is still as strong as he was when he was younger, but his stamina is a bit lower now a days. An old man with much determination. He doesn't speak that much. He's 5'8", has grey hair, and is well built. His strength is comparable to many of the miners in the village.

Tora Muramasa - A farmer. He's 22 years old. A young man who works with his grandpa on the field. His father and his grandpa doesn't get along very well. But, his father still cares for his grandpa thus the reason why Tora was sent from the city and raised by his grandpa. Tora was also sent there to help his grandpa. He is a capable young man who is quick on his feet and considerate to the elderly, helping them if he realizes that they're having a hard time. He's 5'8", has somewhat long black hair which is tied into a ponytail, and has a medium build. His strength is comparable to many of the miners of the village.

Furyuu Masamune - A farmer. He's 64 years old. A proud old man who still takes care of his field. He's still quite capable of handling the fields himself, since his son is working in the mines. He does his best to answer questions when people ask him anything. He's 5'7", has slightly grey hair, and has a medium build. He has more than enough strength to take care of his field three times a day if it be necessary.

Others:
Kensei Furui - The head of the village. He's 76 years old. Although, he's at this age he still has an aura of authority around him. A proud old man who takes pride in his knowledge and longevity. He doesn't speak oftenly but he wants the best for the village. He can be considered as a kind old man. He's 5'4", has somewhat long white hair and a somewhat long beard, he looks rather frail. His strength is unknown to most of the villagers since he usually carries around a cane to help him walk. Although, they question his abilities since they've heard stories of the man when he was younger.

Tsuki Hana - A girl who is often seen around town at certain times of the day working various jobs. She's 21 years old. An eccentric woman who seems to be hyper all the time. She often has no time to talk, but she is quite knowledgeable about things that happen in the town. She's 5'5", has long brown hair which she braids into a ponytail, and has a slim frame. Her cup size is AA.

Kure Shimonai - An old man who lives alone in the house closest to the ghost town. He's 68 years old. A strange man who doesn't speak to the other villagers often. It would seem he stays at home all day and rarely comes out for the occasional grocery shopping. He's 5'6", has long unkept white hair, and looks normal. He has a weird aura around him.

Oka Meppou - A kind old lady who checks on the burial grounds every now and then. She's 70 years old. A very sociable old lady who everyone in the village should know. Every calls her "(Obaa-san/Granny)". She checks on the burial grounds every so often to see if there's anything wrong with the area. She's 5'5", has grey hair that is wrapped up in a bun, and she carries around a cane to help her walk. However, she's a very capable lady who has a great deal of stamina.

Is it me, or someone's been watching Higurashi after watching Endless Eight? :3 I can't help but get that impression.

I'd totally be up for this, though! Need to flex my brain muscles more. =< Not to mention my own project I'll follow this and see how it goes.

I'm interested int this rp. It might be cuz I'm obssessed with the world ends with you lately. It sound very interesting tho

Character Sheet:

Name: Kiri Hoshikage

Gender: Female

Age: 17
Personality: Timid, kind, Forgiving, and a little naive. Often thinks with her heart instead of her head.

Biography: Born and raised in (that village place), she lives with her grandparents and has never known her real parents, who she has been told abandoned her as a baby. She blames herself for this, and tries to help other people so she can feel better about herself. Starts having horrific dreams and visions the day before her eighteenth birthday.

Appearance: Shoulder-length Dark brown hair, with striking green eyes. Is fairly small and petite, with pretty features. Tries to look pleasant, and often wears white clothes.

Name: Ryusuke Kirin (His friends just call him Ryu)

Gender: Male

Age: 18

Personality: Most people considered him very stuck-up and arrogant, but him and the people who are really close to him know otherwise. He's just not really good at expressing himself. Currently (as in, at the time the world's almost ending) very bored.

Biography: He grew up in the village and has never been outside. He is considered somewhat of a genius and had stopped going to school at the age of fourteen. He didn't like school much because others kept on picking on him (though he's really smart, he is weak physically) Now, he lives alone and pays for his rent by writing and selling novels, essays and arguments. Unlike some others in his neighborhood, he's pretty good with technology and so has some idea what the outside world is like.

Appearance:

Name: Mei Tsukimoto

Gender: Female

Age: 17

Personality: Kind at heart and can be overly affectionate. She has a cold hard shell around her heart so no one hurt her. Sarcasm is a first language for her.

Biography: Her parents divorces when she was four and her mother gave her father full custody. Her father never spoke of her mother and loved her enough for both of them. Her mother never visits and the rest of the viillage pretends not to know about her mother. Mei has never cared enough to find out. She feels that if her mother wanted to know her she'd come and find her. She is not very popular and is very much a loner. She doesn't really understand why she is the one no one really wanted to get to know. After her father died, when she was twelve, she closed up and wouldn't let anyone in. She refused to leave the house she grew up in. She lives there alone now. She takes various jobs to support herself. She has managed to make a few friends and trust them to a point. She is still working on trusting them completely.

You just reminded me to name the season this takes place. But either way, yes it snows in the winter.

So this is a mystery RP in a old-school village... sounds interesting. I think I will join, but alas I must first work on my char sheet for another RP

Name: James Richardson
Gender: Male
Age: 36

Personality: As a reporter, James is completely used to bombarding people with questions. In fact, he often goes overboard and doesn't know when to stop. This trait has both proved to be both helpful and detrimental to his job. Outside of his work though, he is generally a cheerful guy, although oftentimes he'll quickly kick into reporter mode if anything interests him. Also is a coffee addict.

Biography: A reporter who just recently moved into the town. He came here on a job for his company to research more about the ghost town and the volcano's effects on it. While he was supposed to just get scientific data about the volcano and leave, he ended up staying longer than planned because the town caught his interest. Just a few days ago, he started suffering from chronic nightmares. He dismissed it as just a bad case of insomnia, but now he's begun to think it might be something more serious.

Appearance: At 6'1" and 189 lbs, James is a fairly average looking man. His brown hair is trimmed neatly and kept short. Combined with a grey dress shirt and black pants, James maintains a sharp appearance to help with his job.

I added the names of some NPCs, descriptions will come later. The list is still incomplete. Once, I'm done with the list I'll make a relationship chart between these NPCs. Then, using my own sense of judgement I'll plot down your characters on the relationship tree as well.

Name: Mitsunari Date (People call him Mitsu or Mitsu-chan)

Gender: Male

Age: 16 near 17

Personality: Around people he's unfamiliar with, he's usually quiet. But, once people get to know him, he can be very open and at time obnoxious. He can sometimes be bipolar, being nice and patient with one person and mean and impatient with the next.

Biography: He's an above average person. He is smart but gets average grades in school. After his father died in the old mine's collapse, he went to live with his grandmother across town. He wanted to strive for excellence and leave the town, but the day he told his grandmother this, she uttered dark words and premonitions before she died that night. Mitsunari then decided to stay and is now working at the farm and fishes in the lake to support himself.

Looks: Medium length dark hair. He is six feet tall with a medium build. He wears a blue sleeve-less tunic with a white undershirt and black loose pants with sandals.

Name: Taisuka Kojima

Gender: Male

Age: 15

Personality: Very kind and soft spoken. Tends to treat everyone kindly whether they are good or bad. However, this also leads him into alot of trouble and he is often manipulated by those who take advantage of his kindness. He is like this most of the time, but his personality shifts each day due to the fact that he loses all of his memories of the past day at 12 AM in the morning whether he's awake or asleep. Due to his condition he is somewhat naive and innocent in his nature.

Biography: Due to a traumatic incident he lost his older brother and sister, both of which he was very close to. Because of this he experiences horrific nightmares at exactly 12 AM whether he is awake or asleep that cause him to lose his memories of the events of the past day. Since then, he has kept a sort of diary with him so that he can write down the events of the past day in. Because of this he has managed to remember many things in his past, although he misses some days becuase even he sometimes forgets that he has a notebook.

Appearance: Lean and skinny with wild mid-length hair. His hair is a dusty blond color and he has green eyes. His eyes are always somewhat sleepy and he is a rather cute-looking boy.

A basic description of each of the NPCs have been made. I'll be adding some more NPCs and the NPCs appearances later.

Alright guys... I'm going to be making a character relationship map soon. So, I'd like it if you listed your relation to some of the NPCs. As in what your character thinks of some of the NPCs. I'll be doing what they think about your character. Also, you don't have to make the list if you don't want to and you'll just be a regular villager to them (unless I make them think otherwise).

After that I'd like you to list what you think about the other characters that are joining this RP. And as I said, you don't have to do it, you'd just be another normal villager to them (unless another the owner of the character thinks otherwise).

Name: Shin Shuutoku
Gender: Male
Age: 25

Personality: A rather ordinary person. However, he takes on various jobs in the village to help support himself and his elderly parents. He's rather friendly, but at certain times he can act quite strange. He's been quite tired lately because of the nightmares he has been having.

Biography: A normal person. He had lived in this village with his parents and grandparents for as long as he remembered. When his grandparents died, he decided that it would be disrespectful if he left them buried here and not pay his respects to them every now and then. He usually pays his respects to them three times a week. He's a jack of all trades since he helps out in many of the villages activities but he's not excellent at anything other than farming.

Appearance: He's 6'0" and has black hair tied into a ponytail. He has a somewhat well built frame and his strength is comparable to some of the miners. He usually wears brown khaki pants and a grey sleeveless shirt unless his job requires him to wear something else.
