So, what anime series have you made up in your head? What was the plot? Who were the characters? What was the setting?

(Thread inspired by one of Candifloss' comments.)

I made one up recently really, just that I didn't do it, I've never done one...
I need no reason, I need time... And drawing skills... tongue.gif

Well...

Plot: Simple and easy, a disease/curse/thing has affected one of the main characters and the others must find an antidote/anti-curse-thing to save the one affected... (Pretty lame, but what the heck?)

Characters: The sick/cursed character, male and teen. His sister, also teen.
2 people they know, both male and around 30-40...

Setting: It was set in a mountain, in a village that was pretty much viking-ish...
So around year 800...

Hmm...
Sounds lame to me thou, I dunno...

Interesting topic by the way, could be fun to see how much imagination others have. tongue.gif

Cheers!

sweeeet.gif

I can finally talk about the pointless series I am to lazy to start writing the script to let alone start drawing anything yet too bored to stop thinking about.

I have too much free time and not enough energy....

Well, I actually have four....maybe five but I honestly don't think I could pull off the last one.

The first is a series called Excalibur which takes place in an unnamed world that is similar but different to our own. It all starts with a disillusioned boy who is given a small magical dagger by a wandering wizard and starts off on a journey to witness the extraordinary. However, the dagger turns out to be one of four magical swords that surpass all other swords, magic or otherwise, and he soon ends up with various factions on his tail. While staving them off he also seeks out several wonders found within the world, and soon regains his childlike awe. However soon the others possessing the legendary blades appear, and the boy is constantly thrown in the battle for control over them.

I originally just named the boy Author because I was too lazy to come up with a better name, but eventually worked that itself into the story. The world has many of the same legends or mythical figures but treated almost as historical figures instead, including Hercules, Faust, King Author and Lancelot, ect... Anyways the main character is eventually hunted down by the Knights of Avalon because they think he is the reincarnation of the king, and set him through several trails in order to try and reawaken the sleeping king. ._. The big plot twist is that he isn't the reincarnation of King Author, and that another character actually shows up as King Author and gets the knights to ease off.

Other character include Siegfried, who possesses the legendary sword Balmung. He is antisocial and is trying to be left alone but keeps on being hunted by various factions. So he constantly fights others and is very mistrusting.

Chi also has a legendary sword, Heaven's Will, and is trying to take over the world. His sword has the greatest magical power, but Chi himself is allergic to magic and thus he can't tap into it. Though he makes up for this with his mastery of various martial arts. He is the first villain of the series but later returns to help everyone out, even if only to get a chance to steal Excalibur and Balmung.

Faust is the main villain, though he is pretty weak. He is really mysterious and what he lacks in power he makes up for in ancient knowledge. He is also almost completely immortal. ._. His plan was to awaken the hound of death, Cerberus. Eventually he succeeds but it is defeated, but then he reveals that his true goal was to awaken it so he could get to the tomb of the legendary hero Hercules.

Hercules is a hero who was betrayed by the gods, and once he is brought back to life by Faust he follows Faust because he no longer has faith in the world.

Finally there is Mike, who is a villain who appears during random intervals to fight characters though out the series but for most of the series makes no large impact, other than killing one of the legendary sword bearers -who shows up, tests Author, leaves to investigate Faust, then ends up dying by Mike- and stealing their sword. He is actually the final villain. Despite being the same age as Author he is the main character's foil. He doesn't think that the world is that great and wants to change it to his liking. His powers stem from a black ooze that he can secrete or even shoot from his skin that he calls black star. It is actually super dense matter like that in a black dwarf, and is really heavy. Despite that he can shoot a small amount out like a bullet, with similar speed, but the impact is greater than a cannon. sweeeet.gif I love his power, though I wont ever explain how he got it. He also has a farm boy accent, and makes references to farming sometimes, so it is suggested he grew up on a farm.

....maybe I ranted too much. Heh, well yeah, the others are one about magic & guilds with a little more of a twist, giant robots with tools and a screwdriver, and one about a group of people on a hover ship with robots looking for the Garden of Eden.

I also had this one about a boy who transfers into a new school and meets a sadistic rich girl who never stops smiling and has everyone else fooled so he has to deal with her while trying to accomplish his goal of becoming the ultimate player. Basically he tries to impress girls, almost succeeds, then messes up horribly at the end in some funny way. The rich girl would also randomly 'help' using her unlimited finances to build giant robots or have him shipped to France or turn the entire school into a horse racing course. Unfortunately I don't think I could come up with enough funny stories to ever do this one.

I bet I know what Frost's is about. Its a love story between a sea ridden scally-wag, and a charming but scandalous King's daughter. They meet upon the battlefield, when the Captain and his crew infiltrate the King's castle to steal their riches. In the heat of the moment, the princess begs the Captain to stage her kidnapping so that they can be together. Love at first site.

Then they escape to the secret underground tunnels where the princess and the captain hijack the King's super secret space helicopter. They hit warp speed and go into the future to form the popular singing duo The Captain and Teneil.

It's a work of art.

Woo! Well, too many to mention but one of them:
A long time ago, millions of years ago, dimensions where connected by portals. STrange creatures used to pass into Earth's dimension and back out. But, there was a large war, so the portals where closed, and all creatures were killed. Millions of years later, as in today's world, humans have taken over Earth and forgotten about the portals.
The portal has somehow been opened, and now undead monsters and zombies and technically dead stuff brought back to life are passing into Earth.

So, secretly an academy has been set up for teenagers to learn how to defend themseles against the undead guys. No one else i nthe world knows about it, and its top secret. Its like spies. Except with zombies. x)
The story is about three people, aged 16,17,18. Two boys and a girl, Kaito, Phoebe, And Marth (I was too lazy to come up with real names, and those name kinda just stuck xP) and they're the first three people to ever actually fight against the undead.

..Yeah. Thats been the story until more people i've invented have joined in, (A girl from a farm called Shannon, a robot invented for fighting, Kimso X23, and a city guy called Jake) But i nthe current 'episodes' or whatever, 'headisodes'? Kaito died in an explosion and Marth myteriously dispeared....

Villians include some zombies. Theres one, called Lady DD. (Stands for Dark Death. I know, cheesy, but again I was too lazy to think of a good name) Whos jealous of Phoebe, and frequently sends the three into her own dimension and sets them impossible tasks. One was Kaito and phoebe were locked in a room, that spins around and around, while also filling up with water. Like a washing machine biggrin.gif

I've got like, a zillion other stories in my head (Most of the others are about powers and everything. Ones about loads of people who can dance, but by dancing they're activating their powers. Theres a school for them, and they have dance battles aginst each other. Because not only do they see who dances best, but also who has the storngest pwoer. LAME I KNOWRITE? Another is about two girls, who are from a city invisible to humans, only they don't know it. They go into the city and they have races in like, space ships. Except not in space. Hovercars. Whatever xD) OK OK sorry i'll stop im probs boring you now xD

Woah this rpely came out longer than i thought..

One idea is about six co-workers and their lives at a superstore. Set in the near future, in the countryside where they all live near eachother as well as the the various disasters they face. The main character Beth is in her late teens and is naive & doubts her abilites while having a crush on felow co-wooker nicknamed "SubZero". Constantly oblivious to virtually everything around him yet gets the job and various dates done. S.I.M/Super Intendent Mainframe is a smartass computer/andriod with an epic memory and ego to match. Tiny is a friendly and most over the top helpful employee of the crew, except that he happens to struggle around the store for his size and extremely large teeth which scare most people. Annie looks like a sweet naive girl like Beth but doesn't take no for an answer. Not always right but never wrong his her motto. Finally, B is the manager of the store. Although he helps the other five and keeps the store open, he has to obey and assist the antagonist D, regional overseer of the store. Constantly messing up and setting others for the fall, he tries at every chance to replace the store with a storage cupboard for his house miles away. Following the various mishaps and disasters the workers face, they become better friends through the bad, the worse and even the unexpected of times together.

Thank u Candifloss biggrin.gif , like the portal idea with zombies. Would love to see an anime action/adventure where the villain wins and how the heroes deal with failing to save the world. Extremely grim idea but fun to see it happen, might even make the heroses into villains or anti-heroes.

k heres one i thought about

theme: parody/comedy/romance

post apocaltypic earth with zombies, where humanity struggles to survive in the few remaining safeholds, heres the kicker humanity's population - theres a 100,000 to 1 ratio of females to males ! where guys are usually hunted down and claimed by the strongest/worthiest of females

story revolves around 17yr old Syaoran (imagine syaoran from CCS/tsubasa half that and half soga genzo/sakuragai hanamichi) who has been running away his whole life from counterpart hero girl who is a shy, slightly dominatrix tomboy then insert random 8 harem girls and monster of the week theme/fan service of the week theme BUT with LIGHT FAN SERVICE, fan service would revolve more about inuendo rather than visuals, comedy would be like tenshi na konamaiki with the 2 main characters and parodies of zombie films

I was watching that show the colony on discovery channel o_o and thought about it

Another dream/idea i had is about brothers who are pest exterminators but end up with a new species over running the younger brother's room. Since both brothers are terrified of anything similar to arachnids, they leave them in the bedroom. However, a young female runt of the species chooses to scare off the rest of its kind in return for love and affection from the brothers, who have fits when Porshera (name given to runt) hugs on the older brothers face 2much. now the brothers and Porshera have to catch the rest of the new creepy crawlies before their town is over run.

I didn't put much thought into mine as you guys did. Or well I don't have as much detail. But your guys' ideas sound pretty good...I would watch some of them....heh...

Well mine is really just about a group of friends in high school that the series focuses on. It's basically a slice a life type thing with huge amounts of comedy. I like comedy. And all the friends are polar oppsites so confrontation is inevitable.

That's all I got. I know LAME. But I'd thought I'd share anyway. :D

Some of the best ideas come from something comical. My last idea was originally along the lines of horror but i couldn't resist the temptation of one character constantly attacked by spiders that sounds like a dart hitting a target. E.G. every time he came up with a plan to remove these spiders, they jumped him, caught him in web or paralysed him and hissed when he failed to get them. xd.gif

My ideas would be more-so a manga to write rather than an anime. Hopefully that's acceptable. I'll get around to posting it somewhere in the future.

This topic is awsome! Well as for me I have about several original ideas sweatdrop.gif ... but I guess I'll talk about one of my earlier ones.

Basicaly the story revolves around a group of cybrog teenaged girls who call themselves sisters, specificlly the oldest one named Karnel. They are from a rouge government project named "Angel Vibrant", the head of the program being a cruel man with a god complex whom they they call "Creator" (named Dr. Wright).
But after discovering that this creator of thiers plans to kill her sister Jessi who he deems as "unperfect", Karnel convinces her other sisters Amanda and Chun Hyung as well as thier care taker ,Brian to run away so that Jessi can live. They are constantly on the run but when their creator stops chasing them they settle down and start attending high school. Unbeknowst to them they are far from danger. (insert evil laughter).

Well yeah. The story is a romance/humor/action one but it also takes a look into the meaning and purpose of human life and the beauty of the connecting bonds we all make with one another. Silly I know but I try to make my stories deep so that others can somewhat relate to them. heh.gif

oh wow I have made up so many anime in my head but they all need ALOT of work and alot of them are all from diffrent anime so mine will probeley seem reall orginall. cool.gif

A young girl was attacked by a demon one day and she was saved by a another demon. All demons need to drink blood in order to survive so the demon that saved her drank her blood but when a demon drinks from a human the human falls in love with that demon so she did but she also lost all of her memory and ended up somewhere in tokyo.

The demon that saved her is the guard of the demon princess and is the second most powerful demon. One day the demon princess escapes into the human world and she runs into the girl from before. the girl help hides the demon while alot of the demon guardians are looking for her and then finally the demon and the girl finally meet again. The demon princess has a shield around her and the demon guard cant go near unless the sheild is put down so he satys for a while and trys to make her put the sheild down so he can take her back before a any other human notices them. also of coarse the demon and the girl fall back in love xd.gif that always has to happen so u might a s well expect it.

like i said it needs alot of work but im just putting my thoughts out there. lol. yea but if u have any suggestions plz tell me so i can make it better thumbsup.gif

I have an idea for a series that's based off a few concepts in Shintoism, particularly kami and mitama. Basically, kami are spiritual essences that can govern just about anything, whether it be something small-scale, like a local shrine devoted to a river or mountain kami, or something widespread and worshiped collectively, like the sun goddess Ameterasu or Ryuujin, dragon god of the sea. After that, you've got the concept of mitama, which are essentially spirits that can possess anything, living or nonliving. They're split into four categories, which I'll just take from Wikipedia because I'm too lazy to type it out:

-Ara-mitama, a violent or coercive spirit.
-Nigi-mitama, a gentile and pacifying spirit.
-Saki-mitama which imparts blessings.
-Kushi-mitama which causes mysterious transformations.

(If any of this sounds familiar, it's the same story behind the Shikon Jewel in InuYasha. Mine’s a cooler concept, though.)

So, now that you know a little bit about that, the basis behind the story in this series would be kami born as humans who can control one of the four mitama. By altering the spiritual aspect of mitama, they also warp physical characteristics of the object for whatever they need. With that in mind, depending on the kind of kami any of the characters are "incarnated" as, their dominance over one of the kinds of mitama grows and evolves as they learn more about themselves and the mitama they interact with. The backstory is that any human has the possibility to be a kami, or god; the power simply remains dormant because of 1) the lack of human spirituality and understanding of mitama in general, and 2) the proper balance of often contradictory emotional and psychological or physical requirements needed to invoke their dominance over the mitama, and 3) the fact that humans as unfulfilled kami don't receive respect from mitama right offhand regardless.

You guessed it: the mitama all possess their own near-human characteristics; personality, aspirations, fears, tastes, you name it. I haven't decided if I want to give them a standard physical appearance with personal twists (like what you would see in Soul Eater), or if they should be more humanoid like you'd usually see other souls. But that's something I can figure out another time. However, just as we as humans have races, the mitama are split into their four categories in similar fashion. This only affects them in regards to their nature and how they act, but for the kami who control them, it's another story.

How this translates to the mitama is this: they're catalysts to the object they possess for the kami who "controls" them. Depending on the type of mitama they are, however, they do different things for that particular object. For example, you may have four sweaters that are exactly the same physically right down to the stitching, but all four could be of different mitama, and depending on that mitama, the sweater could do different things for the kami-born-as-human who reigns over it. For what each mitama can, do, however, refer to the following…

-Ara-mitama = action; those who govern ara-mitama can will movement and force animation, essentially breathing life into what's lifeless if wanted. The animation can apply to the object as a whole or to a more isolated part of said object, meaning that it might result in an object floating, or, depending on the precision, blowing apart an object entirely on the molecular level. To properly manipulate an ara-mitama, one need possess passionate excitement and a will to move, yet also analytical patience and calculated precision for proper control.

-Nigi-mitama = peace; those who govern nigi-mitama possess the capability to calm and maintain preservation, whether by reducing action to the point of stopping or by reinforcing tranquility. Essentially an antithesis to ara-mitama, depending on what the spirit possesses and the kami's control, an eggshell wouldn't break if it were dropped, or the flow of an entire river could be stopped altogether, stuck in place. To properly manipulate a nigi-mitama, one need possess a pacifistic mindset and a calm mentality, yet also a fierce determination and an unwavering will to enforce.

-Saki-mitama = exorcism; those who govern saki-mitama have the potential to purge other objects of existing mitama, essentially nullifying the effects of other kami. In this instance, the mitama acts as a buffer between its controlling kami and one of the other three mitama and can be transmitted via physical contact or anything else that establishes some kind of contact with the other object, such as sound or heat. The purging of mitama is only temporary, however, and depends on the strength of the kami controlling it. To properly manipulate saki-mitama, one need possess a calm focus on self and a clear mind, but also physical ability and environmental awareness.

-Kushi-mitama = change; those who govern kushi-mitama are capable of altering and altogether morphing various physical characteristics of anything the spirit possesses. It could be something as simple as turning water to ice, or transforming a lump of cold into a diamond sword altogether, but no matter what it changes into, the transformation is temporary; should the mitama lose connection or the kami lose control, the object will revert back to its original form. To properly manipulate a kushi-mitama, one need possess creative intuition and an active imagination, but also scientific insight and realistic thinking.

So now that you know those tidbits of information, I guess I should break down the relationship between mitama and human/kami (which I’m just going to refer to as “kamijin” from now on, which means “god person/people”). Essentially, mitama are typically invisible to humans, but some of them, the kamijin, can in fact see them and thus interact with them. Mitama are free-roaming and unbound by location or object, and appear perhaps as half as frequently as a human would (i.e. the human to mitama ratio is pretty much 2:1). Thus, for kamijin, utilizing mitama takes not only their spiritual awareness, but also the formation of an interpersonal relationship with any particular mitama. Not only that, but the number of mitama that a person can come to know is unlimited (though kamijin will be restricted to one of the four types as far as manipulation goes).

I could honestly go on and on and on and on about this and still have things to say, and a lot of this could and probably would change given some feedback and revision. These concepts, however, will remain the basis of the story. I figure once you have a concept, the story can pretty much write itself given one can come up with characters and a proper setting. As said before, I’d rather try it out as a manga before turning it into an anime series, that way I could experiment with trying different genres. I’d see this series as having a light-hearted approach, though I wouldn’t give it the label of gag manga, and though it could probably easily develop into a battle manga, I’d still try to give it a more slice-of-life approach at times, and maybe even some romance. Of course, it’s going to be stuck under the genre of “supernatural”, so I suppose that would be the only mainstay of the series.

Like I said, plenty more to say, plenty more to play with, plenty that is subject to change. erwhat.gif

I've got many and as soon as I have a large amount of time I'm going to make a web comic.

First one:

It about an artist who is extremely good and is friends with a group of otaku's (The stereotyped for much comic relief.) One day he was just walking home from school (or university haven't decided) when a book falls from out of the sky (someone threw it.) it was a sketchbook and he decides to take it home.

While sitting at home he decides to look at the book and finds creatures in it, very well drawn but crossed out, some pages are blank. He shrugs it off and decides to sketch something in it. he decides to do a final fantasy styled girl which takes him a long time, but as he draws he starts to feel attached to the drawing as if the girl was weird then as he finishes the drawing and the girl starts to move, she ends up jumping out of the book into real life and the main character falls unconscious for a little bit.

Now he get's flung into a world where the girl he drew now follows him to school and they both have to fight and capture other creature previous artist have drawn. It ends up being the explanation of all the fairytale creatures. Like dragons, vampires, werewolves and fairies.

It'll be called, The book of life.

Another one is a steam punk, sci fi, pirate based story about a kid who has been born and grew up on an Ark (Like a massive ship in space.) he dreams of roaming the universe to where ever he wants. Due to being attacked by pirates many times he is a strong fighter and is smart with mechanics and one day when I pirate cruiser come to attack them. He boards them and takes the pirates down.

When he is ordered to come back he shoots off with the pirate ship to start his own adventure.

Another anime idea I had is called Within. It is about a young man who tries to stay awake because the second he falls asleep or become unconscious, a monster takes over his body. Before he could wake himself up and stop the process from full changing him however he begins to change while still being conscious.

Hiding from a world where he has become public enemy/monster No.1, he's left with two choices: A he choses to confront the Demon within, deep in his own subconscious or B he dies, stopping the Demon from returning.

As if there wasn't enough already on his plate, he has to avoid a shady organisation, who wish for unique weapons and toys for them to decimated and dissect with, and a world who just see a demon on the outside.
