K, um, I didn't start getting into Code Geass until a couple months ago, and I haven't watched a whole lot of it, but I DO know how the series ends (unfortunately, due to an AWESOME AMV on Youtube). Even though Code Geass is kind of spoiled for me already, I still absolutely LOVE it. So, now that I've said that, I think I will say what I like and don't like about this anime:

Like:
-animation
-character designs
-theme
-symbolicness
-story
-one of the few animes that's ever made me cry
-pretty much everything except...

Dislike:
-Lelouch going power-crazy was kind of sudden in the first episode. You would think it would've slowly built like Light's did in Death Note
-how C.C. got her powers; I just find it kind of disturbing. (Some of you may not understand what I mean. I'd have to explain and you'd probably need to watch the episode again for you to get what I'm trying to say if you don't)

I like and dislike other things, but that's all I can think of. Anyway, let the discussion begin!

I watched the first season many months after it had aired, and I liked how it went.

Since I liked R1, when R2 started airing, I jumped right on it. However, I watched up to around episode 12 and I didn't like it at all. The story had no direction, at least up to 12, and every episode was a new random practically unconnected event.

With that in mind, as far as R1 goes, I liked the action. That is probably it. I found the plot pretty lame. I cringed more than a dozen times in R1 because it seems the show's creators understood nothing about politics, although this seems to be a problem prevalent in a lot of anime series. Like a lot of other action anime series, it thought too high of itself, and completely overdid the drama.

Should I move this to the General Anime forum, seeing that this doesn't appear to be a fanlisting?

And what is with the sudden surge in Code Geass interest :X
