I was curious, does anyone really like Korean manga? I mean there art style and such? And is there any good recommendations? This is because I really like Model and INVU, which are both Korean. So I'm starting to think I must just have and eye for Korean manga. Are there any others like me><

Korean art tends to be more detailed than most japanese art. Ragnarok,Demon Diary, King of Hell and Model are a few.

It's best to look for Korean art at Tokyopop, Viz doesnt offer a lot, if any at all.

I've noticed that! Pyre, you're amazingly observant too! cool!
yes, but besides that, you can always tell if it's korean or not... kinda weird... in a good way.

I collected King of Hell for awhile, and the art really is beautiful... I just can't stand the story, so whether that has anything to do with it or not I'm not sure... xd.gif Anyway I know I don't like it but I've never tried other Korean manga.

well, if you get a lot of viz in you manga store, then its understandable you wouldnt know what korean manwha is.
tokyopop started publishing korean stuff first, and korean manga is so detailed; screentones everywhere.

i like it though, im usually distracted by the art sometimes to ever read the story, sweatdrop.gif but it all just depends on what genre you're looking for.

tongue.gif I like Korean manga! Actually I have at least twotitles than I can strongly recommend, I mean if you're into romance and drama and music hah hah. Theres this one called uh...One (Tokyopop) and Sweet and Sensitive (ADV manga). One is good because stuff about music and they actually refer to some history in korean music and how the music world works and its cool. Sweet and Sensitive is hilarious! With a lot of romance...mostly about a girl going through high school life who likes this guy until a loud guy comes along who turns out to be the guy that she likes' best friend! Yeeks dilemma! hah hah! So yeah I like korean manga!

Yeah, some other really good Korean manga are the series Island and Rebirth, which are both drawn by the same artist, and sometimes have crossovers, which is rather cool.

Hey, I heard that Tokyopop stopped translation work on INVU. Does anyone know if this is true?
