Sanji gritted his teeth in anger as the other deity stepped in, outside his boundary. He had very little patience for little do-gooders who thought they were better than others just because they have some of those useless compassion left in them. It really ticked him off and this was no different. "Zabuza you asswipe!" He screamed and dashed with his inhuman speed that cracked the crumbling earth beneath him. He drew and swiped his serrated edge, making a clean cut at the bottom of the tree as it caused a swaggering movement. He was more than angry and every little movement he did showed it perfectly.

He hacked and slashed rather quickly before he stepped on the falling tree and dashed upwards until he was in front of the branch on which sat the little tard. "Zabuza you tard!! How dare you interfere you god-damn-piece-of-crap?!" It was as if time stopped for the briefest second when Sanji did a flip and rolling thundered the other guy sending him down, crashing through the falling tree. He did not take well those who deterred him from receiving his pleasure. Using the nearby trees as his stepping platform, Sanji relocated him on the solid ground once more as he hacked and slashed, left and right knowing perfectly that Zabuza could control earth.

"Bloody tard! I'll mutilate you and then torture her infront of you, you useless pile of whale-vomit. How dare you deny our heritage and how dare you interfere with me?!" He was screaming as he looked for the fallen deity. No amount of earth-control would allow him to take Sanji by surprise and they both knew it. In fact, the only time Sanji used his powers are when he's having some fun...

*Reyana*

Reyana wiped her eyes with the sleeve of her dress. “Humans?” She shook her head no as she looked at Perra. The word felt like pure acid on her tongue. How she could even thinking of repeating the name of that damned race was beyond her. “But if it involves them, it must be exciting news, right?”

The blonde blinked, confused, as she felt something fidget underneath her. Casting her glance downwards, she realized that she was sitting atop Damara, the very person she’d been calling for. She tilted her head to the side, asking, “What are you doing there?” A pause. “Oh, wait! Did I fall on you? I’m so sorry!”

Reyana mumbled a few more apologies to her friend, getting up and off her as quickly as she could. “I’ll tell you about the cheese later, but right now, could someone fill me in on what’s happening? Please?”

*Kieran*

His stomach growled, and he wondered how much like a lion it sounded. He supposed he should go look for food, but not until he finished his boomerang. His humming stopped as he held the unfinished piece up to the sunlight as if to examine it. “Almost finished,” he said, smiling.

Kieran’s sleeves were bunched up to his elbows, and his jeans were bunched up to his knees. His boots were to the side of him, filled with the grainy sand. He sighed as he wiped his forehead with the back of his hand. The pain had nearly subsided, and he would look for a fresh water stream or something to clean it later.

His stomach growled again, as if to tell him to hurry up. “All right, all right. Nearly finished.”

Tehkis

After taking a quick nap, Tehkis sat up and looked at his arm Heh... At least it's not hurting as bad anymore... I don't want to slow her down... So I'll go look for something for us to eat while she sleeps... At that though, Tehkis gathered his various knives and grabbed the small hip pack Aya had found on the beach so he could carry anything he caught. He strapped the pack over his hip and walked deeper into the forest. Who knows, maybe I'll find something...

After walking for approximately 20 minutes, Tehkis heard something rustle in the bushes, Tehkis turned towards the source of the sound, exclaiming as he half turned "Who's there?" Only to see an abnormally large chipmunk. Wow... Is that a chipmink or a cat? It looks like it can feed myself and Aya with a little left over... This is perefect! Tehkis readied his biggest kitchen knife in his right hand Okay... Remember, punch then slice... Hold the blade away from you... Tehkis had only barely learned how to be efficient with knifes, so he was a little shaky with all of this. Tehkis ran up to the large animal and attempted a slice at the animals neck. Damn, this thing is fast... I only got it's back... The animal lunged at Tehkis, Tehkis put his arms in front of him, making a quick defense. The animal bit his left hand hard. This is the perfect chance! I can get it now! Tehkis yelled at the animal "Hah! Your finished now!" As he jammed his knife into the throat of the animal, the animal still had a firm grip on his hand. He removed the knife and repeatedly stabbed the animals throat until the grip on his hand had loosened. He pryed the animal off with little effort and threw it to the ground. After looking at his hand, he realized that the animal wasn't able to break his skin... Now that isn't quite right... It bit retty hard... He bent over the animal and opened its jaw. "Heh, as I thought... This thing must have been a herbivore, it only has flat teeth... Lucky me!" He hoisted it over his shoulder with little effort and continued his search for food.

Alice heard the screaming and crashing behind her, she stopped for a moment, eyes wide. She turned to look at what was going on behind her, curiosity getting the better of her. She dropped her stick with a little yelp, scrambling to get it back again. This is insane! W-what's going on?!

“Hey! Is everything alright?” She shook her head and ran full speed toward the voice, ripping her eyes away from anything behind her. Alice wasn't that fast of a runner, she never found running the least bit enjoyable, but she felt she was going at the speed of the wind from all the adrenaline being pumped through her veins.

She reached the trees and saw the girl who had called her, stopping only to catch a breath and observe the other two girls. “I.. I say, run. In the opposite direction of, of whatever that was. Pleasure to meet you,” Alice didn't bother to tell them her name, her brain was willing her to run and she didn't disagree, taking off again. It was rather uncharacteristic of her and she hoped the other two girls would follow or at least get to safety.

His fingers floated underneath him in the water and felt warm after so long in the water. While the water was colder the parts of his body submerged were somewhat numbed after so long underwater. His fingers and toes had all become wrinkled from his own body oil, but that was not important no more.

His fingers hit something in the water. He lay motionless apart from the movement given to him by the waves. He still lay in his position but was not totally asleep. He had been daydreaming for along time, recounting his last moments when he last saw his family but all his dreams ended with him losing them as they lowered the boats over the side.

His body jolted as it struck something, his had for a moment felt pain from being sandwiched between the floats and the ground below. His hand jerked back to his side near instantly but it started to bleed.

The pain woke him up suddenly flooding his eyes with light to which he was forced to shield against. He then witnessed the state of his right hand which had been torn worse than it felt, he then placed it against his chest, almost cradling it.

He looked out onto a vacant beach with palm trees and other lush vegetation. He then slipped off his float and fell under water were he lay for a moment. He looked onto the ripples that lay beneath him from the action of the sea on the sand, and how the sea weed gently swayed back and forth, as indeed he did. He felt his heir move more violently as a small wave pulled him from the ground before the wake released him again, resulting in him ‘falling’ to his knees onto the submerged ground. His heart rate was still low, which had allowed him for nearly 90 seconds to not take a breath. But finally his lungs ached and he longed for oxygen. He forced him self to stand before kicking the ground and taking a deep breath as his head broke the surface of the sea before sinking under once more.

He noticed that he and his floats had been drifting towards the coast and now the water was shallow enough for him not to have to leave the ground to take a breath. He stood and briefly stood motionless until another wave forced him off his unsteady feet. He had little resolve in him self to stand again until forced to by his lungs but now he could kneel and crawl out of the see and his hands felt the sharper ruminates of shells on the very part of the breach were the water broke. He made his way a meter or so up the beach were he collapsed and fell asleep once more, out of energy, out of hope and beyond caring to live.

The floats were only a few yards away, but had dug into the ground until the waves were unable to wash it away. Some of the plastic containers held fresh water and some slightly off food. It was likely from the ships canteen, and would help nourish him when he woke.

"As far as I can tell. I was going to follow the river to see where it led once I got back to my shelter, since it looks like the only lifeline the island has and so, I guessed, where any others would gather, but I got a little....sidetracked." With the last word, Lenore sounded quite like she was trying to convince herself she was still in control of the situation.

"Oh, and I'm Lenore Atalier," she added with an airy tone, taking a good look at the surrounding forest. "Maybe I should have just kept going straight and then circled the shoreline..." She mumbled, more to herself than anyone in particular.

"Earlier, though...near this lake that I found when the river crossed me again through here," she continued, making odd little gestures in the air to draw out an invisible map, "There were voices in the distance. More than one, anyway, and the trees around the lake were totally wrecked. It's like I've heard of some place like this before. Something some one told me about, a long time ago. The idea is fractured in my mind - it's so annoying!" Snapping back to reality, it seemed, the girl looked to him once more.

"Maybe we can set out to find the others if we head off straight back toward the beach. If you and I were able to make it here, there's got to be others!" She smiled brightly, her tone cheery despite her implication that neither of them were very likely to have survived such an ordeal.

After walking for what seemed like hours Conner reached the mountain, that he soon found out was a dorment volcano, apparent by the hot springs. Along the journey to the volcano Conner found a few native fruits, mainly apples and a few pears and banana's. He was eating a banana when he heard a breaking branch. Grabbing his bamboo staff he headed into the forest. Soon he was lost, but it didn't matter he didn't have anywhere to go. Turning where his feet told him he soon found his way back to the river. Stepping in with his bare feet he found that the current headed where he had come so he walked against the current.

After walking for more hours aginst the current a small natural dam blocked him from continuing through the edge of the river. Stepping out he found a natural path through the forest and ended up at the edge of a large lake. Getting down to the bare necessities Conner didn't care that he was swimming in the nude, he was the only person he had seen on this island. Refreshing as it was soon enough Conner was out and walking again, bare as the day he was born, until he was dry, his already drying clothes now also dry. Finding his way back to the shore of the beach and finding himself with out a shadow Conner looked through his bag of goodies to find himself a suitable lunch, forgetting completely, the reason he entered the forest.

After he was nice and full Conner continued on his original path, following the woods to the dormant volcano, south if his sense of direction was correct. 'Maybe this time I will find someone to talk to,' he thought to himself as he got up and continued his trek across the islands beach. After some time of wanting to speak, Conner yelled at the top of his lungs, "HELLO!!!!!!" Hoping to find someone to have a conversation with.

Following Xi into the outermost part of the jungle, Julie corrected her, "It's Julie. Not Julia. Most just call me Jules, so just stick to that."

To answer the second of Xi's questions, Jules said nothing, but point straight upward, adding, "Good at tree climbing?" And then stated the option, "Either that or run for your life back to camp."

Turning her attention back to the girl in purple shorts, she whispered, "Do you think she's a native or a strandee like us...?"

Grasping onto the bark of the palm tree, she stooped lower to watch what would happen next.

Zabuza just jumped with nimble ease from tree to tree. The air up here was much cooler and softer to the touch. It felt nice just to glide through the air with the wind blowing through your hair. Zabuza looked down to check on the girl and noticed that she was way ahead of him. Her pace had apparently quickened and he didn't notice. Jumping faster and faster Zabuza eventually caught up, but he still had to move ultra-swiftly. He hoped his speed wouldn't cause noise that would surprise her or worry her any more.

He sighed, of course the only person he cared for ran away from him. It seemed like an all to normal of thing. He comes they go, what the hell's right with that. Then the thought flashed in his mind, he was a Deity, was he allowed to love or like the normal humans. Wasn't his life now destined to kill all living humans alive and find pleasure from it. Whatever the case he had to make up his mind on what to do soon before someone found out, or it was too late and one of the others killed her first.

Zabuza looked down and had to search around a bit before noticing that once again the female had gotten a headstart and was a mile or so ahead. With an agitated grunt Zabuza leaped from tree limb to tree limb catching up. He noticed the one female passed another female and kept running instead of stopping for her. 'This act, is she really a Deity and doesn't know it?' Zabuza thought to himself. He was rather confused about the acts of the girl, the humans, and even his own kind, the Deities.

Xi watched as the girl kept going. Kinda rude, however, she could see the boy coming fast among the trees and didn't hang around to complain. "Come on!" she exclaimed to Jules, as she took off hot on the girl's tail. The girl was somewhat slow, and Xi passed her easily, but she made sure the didn't run too far ahead.

Leaping over the stream she made a sharp turn and started running upstream. She looked back to ensure the others were following. Some place good to hide had to be around her somewhere. And she was right. It gradually became rockier. Keeping an eye out for a particularly large boulder to hide behind, she could see how the stream descended from mountains ahead.

But she had no intention of going that far. She could see what she wanted only a couple yards ahead. A cave. She waved the others towards it and ran as fast as she could into it. She slowed once inside because it was dark and her eyes needed time to adjust. She paused as they did. It was dim, but she could still see, if faintly, what was in the cave. She hurried into the back of the cave. It was rather shallow. Perhaps twenty feet in length. As she reached the back, she threw herself around a crook of the wall and hid.

Quietly her eyes searched the rest of the cavern. This part was lighted due to a hole about fifteen feet up. You'd have to scale the walls and then the ceiling to get to the middle channel leading up to the hole, Xi noted, and calculated how fast she could do that in her head. As her eyes continued exploring, she noticed something sticking out of the wall a couple feet from her. She tiptoed over to it and examined it. A sword.

She ran her fingers along it carefully. It was covered with moss and was fairly rusted. Not ideal but it was still slightly sharp, and she could sharpen it even more with a rock. It would do. Grabbing hold of the hilt, she pulled. It didn't budge. She pulled harder and harder with all her might, putting all over her weight into it. Until finally, and suddenly, it popped out of the wall. She smirked. Perfect. Now she had a weapon.

Roger raised an eyebrow.
"I know the lake, I was there, er..."
Looking up, he once again tried to determine what time it was. He failed.
"...a while ago. I didn't see any wrecked trees, though. Must've happened after I was there, then."
Scratching his chin, he looked down at the girl.
"Of course, there might simply be more lakes here than one." He said with a shrug. "Either way, that's not all too important. If we die, we die."
He idly glanced around into the forest verdure before continuing.
"I see your point, and I was following the river for the same reason. There is nothing between here and the mountains, I've found. Though I suppose there might be people further downstream. I wouldn't bet on finding more survivors, but searching is more entertaining than to just lie down and die."
Letting go of his walking stick, the broad-shouldered boy slapped hishands together in the air before him, crushing six mosquitos in one blow, then caught the stick and wiped the bug goo off on his pants.
"If you're headed for your shelter," He continued. "I'll accompany you, especially if you have something I can wrap around my feet.."
Leaning back, he stuck the branch into the soft soil for support, then lifted his right foot to Lenore's eye level, keeping the blistered, bleeding and fly-ridden appendage suspended for a few seconds before putting it back down to the riverbank.
"The ground around the mountain region wasn't meant for bare feet, I found, and these bugs aren't helping."

Lenore made a face at both his attitude and, more so, the condition of his foot, by which her skirt's, in comparison, seemed infinitely insignificant now. She was confident that she could find something for him to wrap it with. She brushed the mud off the back of her legs as best she could and threw aside her sadly broken weapon, then resecuring the strap of her bag of various necessarily heavy items to her right shoulder, across her chest.

"Go figure...Well, I think there must be others. If we follow the river now that I've stumbled back to it - I mean onto it - we won't have to circle the island. It's a better bet on getting there faster." She guessed. "I also think there's something else here. Living here." She made the 'something' sound like a monster from a Sci-Fi movie. Lenore had a talent for exaggeration. "What I saw at that lake. It was...just weird! I mean, nothing normal could have torn up the entire area in the time between when you and I came to it." As she spoke, Lenore took a partly-squished fruit from the bag and handed it to him. "I'm not sure what this stuff is, but you don't look so hot. You should eat something." She began walking along the bank at a somewhat slow, measured pace, expecting him to follow. Helping herself as well, she munched on a few berries after taking a quick glance or two at the color, going over childhood poems in her head.

The girl seemed to have phenomenal good luck in the way of jumping from ships and washing up unconscious on islands uninjured and confident of rescue, but quite the opposite in the way of navigation. 'Following the river' was definitely a good idea, she thought. Short, sweet (debatably), and easy to remember.

Roger followed in silence, holding the strange fruit under his nose, sniffing.
It had a sweet smell... that was really all he could tell. Oh well. Holding the fruit with his thumb and index finger he let it hang above his open mouth for a second before pushing the entire thing inside. He chewed twice and swallowed, then continued the conversation.
"I'll leave the navigation to you, then. I'm no good at it, anyway. Hah, I could get lost in a telephone booth."
Roger glanced at the river before continuing. "And stop with the 'something' jokes. I hate 'Lost'. ...I wonder if there are piranhas in this river..."

"But I'm not joking, really. I mean, not altogether. I really do think there's...you know, nevermind. You're a skeptical sort of person, aren't you?"

Leaving the navigation to Lenore. Ha. If he was as hopeless with it as he said he was, maybe they had a chance. She wasn't so incredibly inept that she couldn't simply follow a river back to the shelter or tell the difference between definite sides of an island. The forest just happened to have been horribly confusing, was all! She thought so, in her defense, anyway.

"Piranhas...?" Her eyes wandered to the side, gaze rolling over the surface of the water. Clear as it was, she could have sworn she'd seen something jump. She made another interesting expression. "Don't say things like that! You'll jinx us."

Roger strolled peacefully along the riverbank, in spite of the insects at work eating him up. Oh, why him? He had no problem keeping up with Lenore's pace, although anything quicker would likely have been a stretch... or at least agonizingly painful.
"As an american would likely have said;" He replied to the first question. "I prefer the term 'realist'. However, as I am not one I will leave your opinions be, and instead whine some about the weather."
His next sentence was only a split second away.
"...Seriously though, what would inhabit a place like this that was as powerful as you seem to believe? Are you certain you weren't just dreaming?"
At the girl's last exclamation he could only grin... and perhaps make some fun of it.
"Maybe it was the piranhas? Why don't I just stick my foot in the water and see how many toes are left when I pull it back up?"

“Cave!” Alice shouted, her voice sounded raspy but enthused none the less. She ran through the stream, not having enough energy to leap, the water was cold and she imagined how relaxing it would be to have a drink out of it.

She had lost her sandals when she was struggling in the ocean, upon reaching the cave she realized how uncomfortable it was to run across rock and the like. Alice saw Xi, with a sword in hand. How lucky. She fell to her knees close to a wall and grabbed onto it, lungs burning. “I.. dislike running, so very much,” She stated, panting heavily.

She took a seat, rubbing her knees and then her feet. She smiled sheepishly up at Xi, having returned to a normal breathing pattern. “I'm sorry about that, not waiting for you and the other girl. Wasn't very nice of me, too scared to think I suppose...”

Alice looked around nervously, where was the other girl? Most likely just finding the cave herself, or at least that's what she hoped. She stood slowly, holding onto the wall for support. She wasn't dizzy and her lungs didn't feel like they were exploding anymore, but she leaned on her tree branch just in case.

She smiled brightly now that she felt out of immediate danger and offered a hand to Xi. “I'm Alice, were you on the cruise ship as well? If not, how did you get here? ...Nice sword, by the way,” Alice eyed the sword wearily, she wasn't very fond of sharp objects.

"Oh, go ahead. Maybe it would serve you right for not taking me seriously. I know what I saw." Lenore turned around, walking backwards facing him and glancing over her shoulder every now and then to make sure she wasn't going to run into anything. Any trees, ditches, cannibals, rocks, or hyper-active jumping piranhas.

Now that she thought about it, Lenore wasn't so happy with this situation. "What if we have to run?" Well, at least, at very worst, she wouldn't have to outrun any cannibals - just outrun him. Of course, that thought was a great deal more sinister than any other silver linings Lenore formed in her pretty little head, and so hadn't entered her mind presently. "Where are you from, anyway?"

She tilted her head to one side, beginning a mini-investigation, it seemed. "Do you think you could beat up a cannibal? How old are you? How fast do you think you can hop?"

'Was worth a shot.

Not even an hour after Conner had started walking along the beach he got bored with the scenery and headed back into the forest. Trying yet again to see if anyone else was on the island he called out again, "HEEEEELLLLLLLLOOOOO?" but kept walking and reaching that same river again. Thirsty after those two calls he sat on the waters edge and took a drink. On the other side of the river bank a medium sized boar was also taking a drink, upon seeing Conner it turned and ran away. Looking around himself he found himself again bored with the scenery and started walking again, also again he walked up stream toward the mountains. After a few minutes he thought he heard the echo of a scream. Was that his imagination or did he actually hear a scream.

It seemed to be coming from up stream whether it was real or fake. The more he walked the more he got tired of being alone and faced with the same scenery yet again. Finally he reached the Mountains, or atleast the bare base of them, the river bank was becoming rockier and rockier by the second. Upon closer inspection so was the ground surrounding the river, yet life still thrived. After many more noticed differences between here and earlier at the river near the swamp, he found himself at the true base of the moutains. Finally, he decided to take a rest and sat back down on the river bank yet again. Taking out more fruit Conner had an excellent snack, or atleast as excellent as possible for being stranded on a apparently deserted island in the middle of who knows where. "I really would like for someone to come up behind me and go BOO! As long as its someone to talk to," he said to the air as he took another bite out of an apple.

"I dislike strenuous exercise. Violence included."
Roger frowned, but couldn't hold that expression for more than a few seconds before breaking up in a smile.
"You worry all too much. The primitive manner of cannibal you are referring to are rare these days, and those tribes that ate humans they were not at war with were rare even before that."
Shrugging and grinning superciliously at the girl before him, he continued.
"If there *were* any cannibals here, I doubt my ability to beat up *one* of them would make a difference. Even if I beat up a whole lot of them, they would doubtlessly track us down and kill us in be- sleep. Running wouldn't help."
Roger scratched his chin.
"On the other hand, I suppose it might be satisfying to go down fighting... or maybe not. If I give up, at least I'll see after life or oblivion well-rested."

The walking stick sunk into the soil with every step he took, as Roger seemed to contemplate Lenore's questions.
"I'm not going to to tell you where I'm from just yet. There might be some entertainment value in it later. It was my seventeenth birthday two weeks ago. Got the cruise as a present. Wish I hadn't. I'm not sure I understand the point of the last question. Maybe you can tell me that and your own age in one fell sweep?"
He was right. She wasn't brainy, but optimistic to the border of stupidity. At least trying to correct that could be a fun passtime.
