Pehra walked slowly, not particularly caring if any of the group was following him. If they did he could protect them from the other Deities, if not they would be found soon enough. He did just want to talk, most of the others weren't the types to carry a conversation, instead choosing to live their lives through their power. Some had even dedicated themselves to trying to remove the neck brace, with no success so far. Hearing splashing, Pehra looked at a young man making his way through the water, hailing him. Stopping in the stream, ice grew around his feet, in case this was a Deity who wanted to fight. He hadn't seen him before though, so it could be he had been one of the passengers aboard the ill-fated ship. Turning to face the new arrival, Pehra said, "Help? With what? Are you a passenger of that ship, having just landed on this island? If so, I welcome your stay, for however brief it will be. Then again, you could be stronger than you look. Or you might be a Deity, which are you?" Appraising Randee from top to bottom, Pehra thought about that process to make super humans. Had it been completely abandoned, or had it gone underground to be refined? Obviously there were no longer thoughts of super soldiers, not after they had turned on the creators. Pehra had his part in that insurrection, he had slaughtered numerous soldiers in a primal rage. That same feral instinct sometimes came up unexpectedly, but he was better at controlling it now. Turning back to the direction he had been going, Pehra said, "If you wish, you may come with me for a conversation. It doesn't matter if you're human or Deity." Another sound of splashing caught his ears and this time he saw the form of Roger splashing madly through the water. Damara let him go? That's highly unusual... "Welcome Roger, have you decided to take me up on my offer of shelter and some conversation?" -------------------

Approaching the deity at light jog, each footfall accompanied by a splash of river water, Roger nodded to the man before sprinting the last few feet. Arriving before the icy fellow, Roger leaned on his knees to catch his breath. "Of course." He replied, as soon as he was done. "I don't want to get killed more than the next guy, and seeing as I might just not be hunted down and have my guts ripped out, I decided to take that chance." -------------------

Everything had happened so fast again and although Alice had been paralyzed in fear a few minutes ago she willed herself to move. Pehra was walking in the opposite direction and she felt the need to follow him, for at least a little bit of safety. However, Xi was in trouble so the young girl decided to play the hero - quite a mistake. Alice darted to the tree, cursing her slow run. Xi wasn't held that high up, low enough so she could pull at the hair. Her eyes followed the sword a little warily, it was being flailed around and her friend didn't seem to notice she was trying to help. She pulled hard on the locks of hair, biting her lip from the effort she was putting in. Damn, these things won't budge! All at once the most horrible pain she'd ever felt registered in her brain. Xi's sword had hit something, nothing useful of course as it had been her face. The bladed weapon pulled away sharply and was flailed around again in a wild attempt to cut something. Alice grunted, staggering on her feet as she raised a hand to the left side of her face. The weapon had cut from just above her left temple, across her eye, a bit of a her nose and down across the top part of her upper lip. It was bleeding like hell and she couldn't see at all from her left eye anymore. She raised her other hand and held it on her face, hot tears mixing in with the dark red liquid. Alice was sure she'd screamed at least once, she hated the sight of blood. Especially her own. Xi had gotten free and was now sprinting full speed away from the monster behind them, she reached out a bloody hand for her. She wasn't at all sure if that was the direction Pehra was in, she hoped it was, she wasn't sure of anything at the moment except the bloody pain from the large gash on her face. Alice chased after Xi, feeling she was running a lot faster than she ever had. The left side of her face was blood soaked and she'd shut the cut eye tightly. W-wait up!! She screamed in desperation, tasting a bit of her own blood. The girl made the choice to avoid trying to be heroic from here on in. -------------------

Randee continued to stand in the stream as Pehra stood before him. He felt the water suddenly chill again and wondered what was causing it. It was then he noticed that the mans feet were now cemented within Ice and some of the chill had transferred into the stream. Randee started to study the man for a moment to stereotype him, be it aggressive, dangerous, gentle or whatever. Male, polite, no aggression on his face, though his mood could be described as icy. Also he adorns an odd leather which has to be hot in this tropical place. That weapon looks dangerous but his grip over it is currently loose and free flowing. He smiled as he feels more secure in his new acquaintance but during this time, a second person enters rather quickly towards him and Pehra. Randee moves a step back, in a slightly more anxious pose but soon relaxes again as he realises this one does not seem dangerous either. Indeed his dress code was more normal with his. A typical American crossed his mind but at least they were ok people, even if they were a bit odd. Well as we seem to be introducing each other my name is Randee, and indeed I was one of the survivors of that ship Oh so I take it there are more of us that you no off? Are they all ok? Randee said with a bit more confidence. And about Deity I may just be. He gave a chuckle, mistaking the word Deity as some one of some with blood links to some king or minor royal, or at the very least some one with significant affluence. As for the conversation, I would be more than glad too. You two are the first people I have seen since I landed here! So I have introduced my self and I wonder who you are. Directing his words towards Pehra as he started to move slowly towards the men. -------------------

Quiet, that was the first thing Till thought. Its also very warm he realized. He then began to sit up-right and open his eyes. Everything looked like a standard beach. This is when his memories began to flood back. Suddenly his eyes rolled up and he fell back in shock, he lay for several minutes as he remembered the ship. At first he wondered if any of the others had survived, then he wondered why he survived. Although many questions were left unanswered, he decided to investigate his surroundings. As he rose he wiped and brushed the sand out of his hair, although his hair was close to the same color anyway. He decided that the nearby hill would be a useful point to observe the beach. Although the hill was steep, he easily scaled it and covered his eyes to shield them from the sun. He gazed around the local area and saw that the beach ended in a forest. Since that was the only form of cover for miles it was the most logical place to create shelter. Allowing himself a small laugh, he thought of the mindless hours of survival training, and wilderness courses he took from his father. Most people his age would be in a state of shock, yet he was focused and determined. Oddly he hadn't yet seen any pieces of the ship washed ashore, or any animals for that matter. He finally reached the cooling shade of the trees, but made sure to stay close to the beach so he could signal and locate planes. Taking a closer look at the forest he saw that the trees provided a firm ground yet the nearby sand made it soft and comfortable. Thusly he made his camp here and searched for some form of a overhang to protect him from any rain that may occur. Till then sat and thought of all that had happend. Thats when he heard a loud crash, as he bolted to his feet he saw a tree fall and a ominous figure looming where it had just stood. He turned tail and ran and oddly enough the figure didn't seem to follow him. As he ran he thought of the power that creature must have had! Where the hell was he! -------------------

Xi skidded to a stop upon hearing Alice's cry for help. Turning around, she noticed the girl was clutching her face and stumbling blindly toward her. Blood was dripping off her chin and steaming through the her fingers as her hand tightened on the wound. "What hap--No time." She hurried back and knelt down. "Get on my back." Halfway between laughing and sobbing hysterically, Alice crumbled forward, her good hand clutching Xi's shoulder. Hiking Alice's legs up on her hips, Xi stumbled forward before heading off at a good pace. "Dang it," she said as she realized she'd become a little disoriented. She ran forward, dodging several trees as she did. The pain on her arm was horrible. Every couple seconds she could feel the stinging throb of the gash. A drop landed on her shirt. "Alice," she gasped. "Alice, hold on. If we can get back to the Pehra guy. He'll protect us." Long shot, but perhaps he can calm her down again. She was so wrapped up in trying to keep Alice calm that she didn't pay attention until Alice screamed loudly and grabbed at Xi's face with her blood stained hand, wiping blood down her cheek. Xi's head whipped around, and she crashed head long into the brown-haired boy before she could stop. She lay on top of him for a second, breathing hard, too exhausted to get up. But then, upon remembering the situation at hand, pushed up and clutched at his baggy shirt. "Help me. Please, you've got to help me. There's this woman trying to ki--ARGH!" A searing pain shot though her body as the small white lance of hair stabbed through her shoulder, passing clean through it and puncturing the ground right next to the boy's head. Pushed forward slightly, as her blood began to stain the hair, tears sprang to her eyes. They were hot and salty, burning violently as she struggled to stay composed. The pain was near unbearable. The white strand retracted and she crumpled forward on to the ground, the tears carving paths down her cheeks. And then, a low, calm voice, "Xi...Xi get up. You've got to get up." Her chest heaved up and down as she tried to stop the pain in her shoulder, or to at least calm herself down. Alice? "Xi, you've got to move. Now! XI!" A whish of air. Xi pushed her good hand on to the ground and rolled to the left, barely missing a giant lance of hair coming to impale her again. Struggling to her feet, she took several staggering steps forward. "Bring Alice. I can't carry her and we've got to get out of here." And then she began running again, wrapping her fingers around her shoulder tightly, as if she was trying to still the pain or stop the bleeding with her hand. She had to get back to Pehra in the others. This time, it was a life or death matter. ~ ~ ~ In a dark room, a woman with long brown hair stared up at the screen. She was, specifically, staring at the movement of several red dots. On seemed to be heading back towards the city, stopping occassionally, walking at a rather leisurely pace. Another one was not moving at all. A sudden movement caught her eye as a red dot zipped past. She leaned forward quickly, grasping the edge of the desk, blinking to make sure her eyes weren't just playing a trick because she'd been on duty too long. No, it really was happening. "They're moving," she said. "What?" a few people nearby said. "They're moving. The Deities are moving. Something's going on," she said, spinning around in her chair and heading into an adjourning room. Inside she strapped two holsters on, placing a gun into each one. She then added a third belt with her "bullets"--tranquilizers, and headed back out into the main hall. "Come on, get ready." "Lisa, don't act too rashly. It could just be one of them chasing an animal again." "It could be, but we don't get paid to sit around and assume. Get suited up. Be prepared to leave at any moment." -------------------

[Note. Significant changes have been made for this Agent character] DS Digs looked at one of his trophies that he had won on one of his previous campaigns. They were against the rise of the cheese men who had come from no where. He smiles about it now but it was a rather dangerous situation where the men stole cheese for a living and threatened public health and safety. He had to go undercover and collect intelligence but things like always with DS Digs never went smoothly. They ultimately discovered who he was and ended up with a few cheese shots taken at him. He still has the yellowish scaring left from were their bullets entered him. His thoughts were interrupted on the more serious order to move out. He first brushed his yellow colours heir from his forehead and tucked it neatly to one side. His attire could not be described as standard as it was a vibrant red for his shirt, dinner shirt and trouser. He had black biker styled gloves used to protect his heavily manicured hands from harm when the recoil of the gun hit back at his hand. To say he was into his appearance would be an understatement. He loved him self and would lash out at anyone less than beautiful. He went to his personal locker and drew out immaculate looking dual pistils. Both were chrome with silencers fitted using extra narrow and pointed heavy titanium pellets that could cut into most things without shattering the flesh and to keep the target looking dignified as that person left this earth. His philosophies and beliefs would confuse most but generally he was left to do his own as he proved him self completely loyal to who ever he worked for and while he lacked a single battle scar, he had won many. He walked to the leader and gave a suggestive wink to signal he was ready for anything she ordered anything. He placed his weapons in his internal pockets where his ammunition was also carefully packed so that his masculine figure would not be altered, so to keep him looking immaculate, or at least in his eyes. Where do you want me? as he pushed his pelvis out slightly. -------------------

((Taking a bit of liberty here to get this moving again. Yay for conflict.)) Gazing at Randee, Pehra said, "My name is Pehra Islaitha Frost. If you're a Deity what's your code number? I don't think I've ever seen you around the island before." Turning back to Roger, he said, "Of course. Survival instinct is natural in all species. The only thing I worry about is if Damara chases you, she's very hard to subdue. And the noise would attract other Deities. Most of our kind love a good fight, and won't stay away until they see who is fighting and if they can risk it." More splashing water greeted his ears as the girls from before broke out of the trees and upon sighting him, ran towards him. They were accompanied by a brown-haired boy. He was carrying the one of the girls, and all seemed out of breath and terrified. They had several wounds, including a hole in the shoulder. He realized what they were running from. "Christ. Well guess I have no choice now." Stepping forward in front of the humans, Pehra weaved his hand through the air, tendrils of water rising up all around him and solidifying into ice armor. Not much protection against Damara, but it would allow him a reserve if he was forced out of the river. The face mask froze into place, only his eyes and top of the head exposed now. Snapping out the other hand, more water shot from the river, but this time it elongated itself in a snaking form, twisting all around him while hovering around him. With cracking noises, it froze into the snake-sword form, the hilt firmly grasped in Pehra's hands as his power kept the sinewy weapon in the air. Shifting into a defensive stance, he jerked his hand a little. Immediately with multiple clacking sound the segmented blade came back together into the sword form. Less than a second later, Damara erupted out of the forest, eyes searching in wild rage for her targets. That few seconds was all Pehra needed to gain the advantage of suprise. His free hand shot out, and twisted upwards in a spiraling fashion. Obeying his command ice ropes sprang forth from the river, wrapping around Damara and constricting her arms to the sides. But her hair was the dangerous part. "Damara! Get a hold of yourself! You know what'll happen if enough Deities hear this!" His entire effort was devoted to keeping her bound in the ropes, but the blade was on stand-by to stop her hair. He could not cut it though, that would just drive her into a greater rage. -------------------

Roger let out a deep sigh and sat down. Playing a hero and getting caught and pummeled was alright, but did she have the guts to stay and actually save anyone? No. Now they were all going to die, or at least their chances of survival had dropped considerably. All because of that girl. What a depressing notion. Ah, well. At least the chilly one was doing good so far. He didn't seem too roostery, though, which could well mean that he would soon be on the recieving end of quite some pain. That would lead to the deaths of everyone else around too, of course. Roger picked up a smooth, round rock from the riverside and studied it absently, weighing it in his hand. He couldn't help but wonder: how would these 'diety' things react to a rock this size slammed into the back of their heads. If a battle was coming up, that could be a way out. ...And then he wouldn't be killed by this diety, but by another. It really was a hopeless situation. -------------------
