Island of the Castaways

Long ago, the countries of Reyora and Mitage were at war, a war that each side deemed would change the course of history. However, the war was at a stalemate and caused endless frustration for the army generals of the two prominent kingdoms. Then, a Mitage citizen employed as a military scientist discovered a process that would allow children between the ages of six and seventeen to become powerful weapons. Immediately, several such children were produced and sent into battle. The result was complete demolition of the Reyora forces. Overjoyed by their success several more children were put through this process until there was a small army of them. These children came to be called the Deities, so named as it was generally believed theyd been sent by God to begin Armageddon.

With their forces being massacred, the Reyora army quickly came up with what they hoped would be their defense; but unfortunately, it was not enough. The Reyora army was defeated. By this time, the children had developed minds of their own and were out of control. Savage by nature and completely immune to guilt from killing, the children began to wipe out entire cities of innocent people. Desperate, Mitage army tried to regain control of the walking weapons but failed.

Reyora, with no more army men due to Mitages new invention was unable to help but watched hiding smirks as their former enemies paid dearly for their mistake. A war was waged with these kids. Eventually, those who werent killed in combat were rounded off and shipped to an island far removed from any other highly populated areas, located literally in the middle of the ocean, where they then built them a small city to keep the children occupied and happy.

For a while the government was worried as to how they'd keep the Deities on the island. Then, a brillant scientist came up with some tracking devices that would not only keep tabs on the children, but keep them from leaving the island. These devices were fitted into a collars that were then fit onto the children's necks. And unfortunately, though they tried, the Deities have not been able to remove them since.

This took place just over 10 years ago, and now the new generation is completely ignorant of the horrors their parents and grandparents had to live through. One day, while relaxing on a cruise ship, a violent storm took hold of the ocean and smashed the ship against the rocks. Everyone ran for the lifeboats, but a group of teenagers were not able to make and as the ship went down, they dived into the sea in one more desperate bid at life. It worked. They were washed ashore on an island and the other passengers from the boat are no where to be found.

The teenagers only hope is to try and survive until help arrives and for this, they know they must work together. But, unbeknownst to them, this is the island where the quarantined warrior children, now teenagers and young adults, reside. Violent by nature, they are eager to get rid their island of these newcomers, viewing them as little more than a stain that needs to be wiped away

Meanwhile, the government has been keeping close tabs on the island and upon realizing that there are people who shouldnt be on the island residing there, they send in agents to dispose of them because they want to keep these Deities survival a secret because as far as the public is concerned, the Deities have been disposed of completely.

The Island

The island is lush and tropical. It rains often, so the ground is moist and fertile making it easy for food to be grown. It can get a bit hot at times, but there are plenty of fresh water sources to provide the amounts necessary for daily necessities. Fruits and vegetables grow everywhere and meat is available in the form of pigs, cows, and other common farm animals.

Theres an assortment of vines, weeds, and other life. Theres a rocky mountainous region in the northwest corner of the island and a dormant volcano in the southwest. This volcano houses several hot springs. The center of the island is all forest and at the very center lays the home of the Deities. To the southeast, theres a swamp, and to the northeast is an area of plants that has grown so tangled theyve formed a maze. However, the sand in that area is treacherous and quicksand can form easily if enough rain falls. Finally, the life line of the island is the fresh water river that comes down from the mountains and trails through the island forming a small lake in the western part of the forest and continuing its trek through the forest due east, swinging around the city before heading south and flowing into the swamp.

Time Period: Distant Future
Technological Development: High

Rules:
1. Be realistic No way will you be chased and attacked by five different Deities in one day, nor will you get in giant battles where time stops and they go on forever until the RP rolls over and dies.
2. Follow all KAF RP Rules
3. Make mention of cheese randomly in your character bio post to show that you have read the rules.
4. Be considerate of others. I will not tolerate name calling, making fun of others, etc. Break this rule and you will promptly be out of this RP along with a raised warning level.
5. USE PROPER GRAMMAR (Capitalization, Punctuation, Spelling, etc) You have no excuse not to follow this rule as there are several programs you can use to double check things like this. Anything with spell/grammar check like Gmail or MS Word will do. The functions are there for a reason. USE THEM.
6. Have fun.

Gender:
Appearance:

Weapon: (If Agent or Teen to be found while on island; they will not be spectacular)
Skills and Proficiency: (If Teenager)
Personality:

I will need a couple agents, several deities, but most of all, Ill need teenagers. This is a two part story, so just hang with me when the transition between part 1 and part 2 comes by (Ill let you know). And while you can recognize some people from the cruise, be realistic. Cruises have a lot of people and your character will not have met everyone.

My Characters
Name: Xi Ang Fei
Race: Human
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Appearance: Xi Ang is, as her name suggests, of Chinese descent. She has long straight shiny black hair, which falls several inches past her shoulder. While shes not overly muscular, due to her love of martial arts, she has a somewhat muscular physique. Her eyes are brown and partially covered by her long bangs. She is tall and slim, with soft skin and lips and she often has this regal air about her, like she is a queen or princess.
Special Power: Control of machines Xi Ang can get machines with her mind. If she has access to a computer, she can log herself in, so to speak, and use this to teleport and/or mentally surf the net and find out information. However, this uses a lot of energy and she does not use it frivolously and since shes so young, she can only maintain this mode for at max ten minutes. Therefore, she has to know exactly where she wants to go on the net before she accesses this power.
Weapon: A simple katana
Skills and Proficiency: Fencing, advanced skills, archery, medium skills, martial arts, above-average skills, cooking, advanced skills, hunting, low skills, sewing, low skills, getting along with others, low skills
Personality: A loud mouth. She says exactly what she wants, when she wants, how she wants and doesnt think anything of it. Shes a beautiful girl, but she is brash, blunt, and very rude and unladylike. She doesnt think before doing anything and because of this, often charges into situations that are way over her head and has to be saved. Only certain people are allowed to call her Xi and those who do who havent been approved receive a swift kick to the crotch. That said, she has a very strong sense of justice, and hates to see people being mistreated. When the time calls for it, she can be very kind and caring.

~~

Name: Damara (meaning gentle girl")
Race: Deity
Age: 20
Gender: Female
Appearance:
Special Power: Damara uses her long flowing hair as her primary weapon. It can grow to absurdly long lengths, giving her both short and long range. She can sharpen her hair to use it to stab things or use the length to grab hold of people and strangle them or throw them around. A deadly weapon.
Personality: Damara is not gentle as her name suggests. She is a very sadistic person who enjoys killing almost as much as she enjoys brushing her hair. Her cold gray eyes are the only part of her that really hints that she could be evil, but she looks innocent, and no one would ever suspect her. Her face usually keeps this innocent look unless she gets really into her murderous activities. She hates people who interfere with her killing.

~~

Name: Lisa Fields
Race: Human (Agent)
Age: 24
Gender: Female
Appearance:
Weapon: Standard government issued gun
Personality: Lisa, while young, is a very intelligent woman. She's been an agent for the past two years of her life and has already moved up the ranks to a position in dealing with everything concerning the deities. She, of course, made it here because of her extreme determination and her refusal to give up. She is very professional, keeping her emotional issues seperate from her work issues. She's quiet, kind, and focused and is a fast-learner. It's easy for her to think on her feet.

Name: Julie "Jules" Turner
Race: Human
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Appearance:
Special Power: Pyrokinesis- the ability to create and manipulate fire
Weapon: Bow and Arrows
Skills and Proficiency: Is the Varsity soccer captian for her school's team and she is also on the Varsity volleyball and basketball squads. Julie also runs track. She, you can say, is the athlete of the group. She's not very good at cooking, but she is good at coming up with ideas and plans. She has no previous martial arts experience.
Personality: On the outside, she's hot-headed, stubborn, arrogant, and has a certain disregard for the rules. She can seem cold sometimes but once someone gets to understand her a little more and gains her trust, she can be quite friendly. She's got a good head on her shoulders but sometimes ignores her conscience. She's cool, collective, intellectual, and strong (mentally and physically).

Julie has a great dislike for cheese even though she adores cheesecake. She is also terribly afraid of spiders.

She has plenty of courage and intellect, but sometimes she fools around too much getting her in trouble. She’s loyal, protective, stubborn, funny, athletic, etc... At times, Julie can get really competetive and angry. When people don't try their best and give up, she feels that they cheated themselves. She hardly ever gives up or walks away from a good fight and is extremely optimistic.

Name: Conner Walters
Race: Human
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Appearance:
Special Power: Energy Enhancer - Can change the force of anything at will (Kinetic to potential and vice versa, also the amount of energy that it has). The catch is that he must be able to touch the object. The bigger the change the more energy he drains from himself. Thus he could give a pebble the force of a bomb but that would come very very close to, if not, kill him.
Weapon: A Bamboo Bo staff.
Skills and Proficiency: Conner is the President of the Science Club and is not part of any team. This doesn't mean he's not strong, he grew up with a dad who works with his hands and has forced Conner to join in which lead to his dislike of sports of all kind. Conner is the person you go to who has the 'know-how,' he is overly intelligent to the point of unbareable. Also he absorbs information like a sponge. As much as Conner likes to learn this can also be his downfall for he is overly curious and has gone out of his way to learn many useless random facts, such as there are over 654 types of cheeses, and sugarless gum, eaten in large amounts, contains an ingredient that hospitals use to clense their patients bowls.
Personality: Conner is very roostery and very stubborn, to the point where he almost never admits defeat or being wrong. Other than this he is a good friend and is always there to help out. Also he loves a challenge and will get so caught up at times that he over looks many simple things and ends up getting frustrated at nothing. Finally it takes a lot to press Conner's 'buttons' for he is very mild tempered, but when he does snap get out of his way or you will be hurt one way or another.

I wish to join the RP, if it were to be allowed.

Name: Aya Williams
Race:Human
Age: 18
Gender:Female
Appearance: Wears miniskirts of the 'gothic loli' fashion accompanied by a black blouse with a red stripe across the shoulder. She styles her hair to be short in the back, with a long bang in the front. Her hair is naturally black. She has grey eyes and always wears excessive makeup on her face.
Special Power: Aya has the ability to defragment and morph light, thus being able to change the appearance of herself or anything within 10 feet of herself. She can only bend, fragment and replace light. By doing this, she cannot change any physical changes to her target.
Weapon: Knives and various needles.
Skills and Proficiency: Skilled with knives and close quarter combat. She is fairly fast over extended distances and can climb almost any climbable surface within reason. She is fairly skilled in the arts of kickboxing.
Personality: She usually appears dark, quiet, and alone to most people. She tries to avoid conflict with others. She treats all situations as a matter of life and death, no matter how minor the situation. But deep down she has a strong weakness for cheeses, esecially the spicy kind. She always seems to be paranoid about something.

I hope I gave enough details... I'll finish my drawing of her soon... I have to make a new one...

~~~
((I made another teenager...))
Name: Tehkis Williams [He and Aya are related, yet they just barely discovered it... Thus they took a cruise to get to know each other with the whole family.]
Race: Human
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Appearance: He is tall, has short white hair. He always wears a white button up shirt with a black fishnet undershirt. His pants are somewhat tight, and he always has his shirt tucked in.
Special Power: He has the ability to control anyone if he knows their first and last name. However, if the person is startled, the control will end. To initiate the control, he must say [U]first name[U] of the [U]last name[U] family, I control you. The person must hear no other talking for it to take effect.
Weapon: Lighter, chain, needles, and various fireworks.
Skills and Proficiency: Is a pro with explosives and the like. He can efficiently make dangerous weapons with ordinary stuff. He is fairly weak, but can hold his own in a fight.
Personality:He loves the thrill of life on the edge, he commonly tells random children that eating cheese causes cancer. He tends to stay quiet in groups of people larger than four people. He is very tactical and thinks everything through before acting.
((I barely got one icture done, so I'll try to scan them soon ^-^))
Name: Sanguineus [Sanji]
Race: Deity.
Age: 18.
Gender: Male.
Appearance:
Special Power: He has the ability to enter a person's mind and increase/decrease the frequency at which the brain sparks flow. Excessive ammount can cause neural-haemorrhage which eventually leads to their brain being exploded into a bazillion pieces. The blood is then manipulated by Sanji.
Weapon: Eclipse, a sword forged by his sister who had the power to do so. He killed her with the very weapon; apparently he needed to test out how sharp the edge was.
Skills and Proficiency: Running, climbing, kicking, evading weapon attacks. He has a limber body built for speed rather than strength.
Personality: Sadistic to the core, Sanji is childish and loves nothing more than to kill. And he loves to torture his victims until they're begging to be killed. But pity them, they don't get mercy. His victims usually die from heart attack due to the excessive exposure to pain. He gets very angry when he doesn't get what he wants.
[I may add a third caracter that will be a Deity.]
Name: Randee
Race: Teenager [normal human]
Age: 19
Gender: male
Appearance: [Will find pic if accepted]
Special Power: Yet to discover his… If he has them that is.
Weapon: Currently a 4 foot mettle pole that was also washed up on the beach. Was part of the hand rails in the stricken ship
Skills and Proficiency: : Randee has a fair ability for basic hand to hand fighting, but always prefers to use his weapon of this pole. His skills are not spectacular though and neither is his Proficiency. But maybe something more will awaken within him.
Personality: Was outgoing and fun loving, but the shock of the sinking with the loss of his family has affected him. His cheese disorder means he can not have cheese neither, adding to his problems.
He is now reserved and quiet but will slowly grow with confidence as time progresses. He has a general believe in the rules and the main one he obeys completely, like not randomly hacking someone to death for the sake of it.
Name: SA Digs
Race: Agent
Age: 25
Gender: Male
Appearance:
user posted image
Special Power:
Weapon: Standard issue equipment.
Skills and Proficiency: Has had training to use a gun, and the use of knives in close combat. Has a fair degree of proficiency when using these tools. He has also an above average reaction to things that have saved him more than once. The attack of the cheese’s men nearly cheesed him off once, but he managed to make mince cheese out of them.
Personality: Cool regardless of how much pressure he is under and fun loving. He is not loud but he is confident. He likes to have fun his way and if people don't like it, then write a formal letter and I will get back to you in a few weeks. He loves his music and his appearnce but he changes near totaly when he puts his ninjitsu mask on.
He becomes totaly calm and a workaholic. Likes to keep his shades on to keep his emotions even more counseled. He has a job to do, and prefers to get it done quickly. He dislikes people who have no respect for things around them, regardless what that may be, as everything has a purpose, and a right. They are not to be ignored.
Name: Gloria "Kitten" Nakita
Race: Human (cheese)
Age: 19
Gender: (cheese)Female
Appearance:
Special Power: Gloria possesses the ability to communicate telepatically with animals. She, upon wasting more energy, can control them and summon them even if they are at great distances. However, the greater the (cheese) distance, the greater the amount of energy wasted.
Weapon: Spear, bow and arrow, slingshot
Skills and Proficiency: She was on the track and feild team and has had a great deal of experience in using (cheese) projectiles efficiently. She, however, it not much of a runner. She is average in intelligence and knows a few kickboxing techniques, though she never uses them.
Personality: She wasn't nicknamed (cheese) "Kitten" for no reason. She's docile and sweet, slow to anger and blessed with a bountiful supply of optimisim and patience. She gets on well with (cheese) animals, but rarely with people as she's shy. She hates violence and sometimes becomes ill at the sight of blood, even fainting when it is plentiful. She'll run away from a fight before rising to meet the (cheese) challenge because she has little confidence in her (cheese) fighting abilities.
Name: Marcus D'Ameini
Race: Human (agent)
Age: 29
Gender: male
Appearance:
Weapon: He's proficient with any sort of fire arm he has the strength to carry. He also enjoys using switchblades to get the upper hand in hand-to-hand combat.
Skills and Proficiency: He knows some martial arts and twisted them to make his own bizarre style of fighting. He, however, rarely needs to use these skills in one-on-one combat, because the target is most likely dead before he gets there. His aim is perfect.
Personality: Marcus can be roostery and arrogant, but is mostly straight forward and business like when it comes down to it. He smokes constantly to ease the small amount of guilt he feels for killing when he's told to, but he knows that the people probably deserved it...probably. He's got a good head on his shoulders, but is apt to change his morals for a high enough sum as he has done for the government many times before.
Name: Alice Ouran
Race: Human
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Appearance:
Her hair is a little more blond then that picture and she usually wears a lot more clothing, but that's her.
Special Power: Alice has the power to inflict great damage on people with her voice when singing. Some of the sound waves form into sharp dagger-like things and she can direct them, for the most part. (Of course like all the other teens she doesn't know she has them or even has them yet.)
Weapon: A sturdy brown tree branch she found on the ground. Good for whacking things and cheese.
Skills and Proficiency: In high school Alice is part of the choir, getting an A in said class. She's a student still and has the basic knowledge of a little over average 15 year old. Her only really well developed skill is her good singing voice, although she's rather good at math as well.
Personality: Alice has always been kind, way too nice for her own good, but she is defiantly not naive. She is the type of person to go out of her way to make others happy, even if she disliked the person. This makes her somewhat easy to manipulate or use, but she has a fierce sense of loyalty. To sum it up, Alice is the type of person that is almost always smiling and happy, her temper is almost nonexistent and she hates to have to tell people off or hurt them. When she has to, however, she will attempt to fight although she would get her butt kicked. (By the by, she likes cheese.)
Name: Lenore Atalier
Race: Human
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Appearance: Lenore is often underestimated because of her petite stature and frame, but she is very pretty, and looks her age. She has dyed blue hair that suits her rather well, as odd as that sounds, and pale skin - almost never seen without her carry-around bag containing various valuable items. Well, games. In the RP, she's wearing the same clothes as pictured excluding the scarf and hat.
Special Power: Lenore has the ability to defy gravity, quite literally. More accurately, she can manipulate the force to pull her whichever way she chooses to create her own 'down' and 'up'. Her power, which she will come to call "sticky feet" after she discovers it (did I mention cheese?), allows her to walk up walls, as well as any other relatively flat surface other than the ground. She can hang upside down as long as her feet are touching the surface from which she's hanging. Lenore has cat-like balance, and can also levitate, but not in the sense that most people think of levitating. She can only do this in a place with any sort of ceiling or objects hanging or bending into the air and manipulate the force pulling her to the Earth to pull figuratively up toward the ceiling, etc.
Weapon: A common weapon of circumstance - the mighty stick-from-tree and rock-from-ground combination. She finds that keeping a few particularly sharp and pointy rocks in her bag can't hurt. In a moment of quick reaction, Lenore figures she could also leave the rocks in the bag and swing it around if she hadn't enough time to take them out.
Note: The bag is kept with her at all times, hence its survival from the sinking - it's constantly strapped to her. It now contains a collection of utterly destroyed and now useless games as well as a gameboy advance, all the dorky accessories one could buy for it included, and four or five relatively small but very sharp, very pointy rocks.
Skills and Proficiency: Lenore is highly resourceful and creative, allowing her to find quick and efficient solutions to problems. She has very calculated decision-making skills, and is a very optimistic person, which gives her the ability to hold a group together, compromise, and work in a team. Another talent she has which is more learned is cooking. She doesn't particularly enjoy cooking, but she's a good cook despite her disdain for the necessary activity. Pesky priorities like eating and sleeping always getting in the way of her gameplay. Unfortunately, her handle on all kinds of technology and mechanics doesn't benefit much on the island. Lastly, she can run very, very fast for such a petite girl, as discovered when a boy tried to steal a newly purchased [and not entirely legal yet] game from her. Also discovered during the same incident, she has a mean right hook, but hardly ever resorts to violence if there is any way it can be avoided (that game was important to her, gosh darnit).
Personality: Lenore is normally a confident, carefree, playful girl. She can be described by her friends in a single word: gamer. While on the island, if cornered by a deity, any and all battle strategies would very likely be modeled after 'this game where this happened at this level with this boss'. She's friendly and outgoing, but gets jealous very easily and hates being ignored. Though Lenore loves to play around, she's not exactly childish or immature - just generally a contented, happy person. She's as ridiculously optimistic as she is clumsy, though she is rather clever, creative, and resourceful when she wants to be or needs to be. Lenore is milking her teen experience for all it's worth, and doesn't feel the need to act any older than she is, though she is more intelligent than most her age.
Name: Roger Arvid Sparre
Race: Human
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Appearance:
Written description: Roger has black, short, unkempt hair that points in every direction, except maybe for the directions in which pointing out might've looked good. He is blue-eyed and wears a pair of black rounded square glasses. His skin is the kind of pale substance you'd expect to find on a computergeek, although he's far from thin, both muscularily and fatularily speaking. A tribute to his omni-present laze, his chin is covered with stubble.
His clothing "style" is "Cheap and comfy", he wears a loosely fitting grey T-shirt and a pair of black sweatpants.
Special Power: Haemokinesis - The creation and control... of blood. Because of this, he'll have a hard time dying of bloodloss. Useful for, but not limited to, grossing people out, drowning people, destroying expensive outfits, making transfusions, stop bleeding and blinding people. He can't control blood inside another's body, although he can keep it there if it's trying to get out.
Weapon: Your average huge tree branch.
Skills and Proficiency:
In spite of his middle section somewhat resembling a wheel of cheese, this guy can run fast, if not for a very long time... Besides an uncanny knack for self-discipline and control, Roger has few skills worthy of mention. Most of his abilities are of the kind that helps him live through his lack of skills: iron stomach, grit, the ability to view the world as no more than a game.
Personality:
Always expects the worst, though he doesn't seem too bothered by it when it happens, taking most things with an accepting smile and a shrug. He has an unhealthy disregard for his own safety, and a desire to try just about anything he hasn't done before, except eating mouldy cheese. When asked about his life philosophy, he'd tell you that his own personal amusement is the whole point of his existence, and that forsaking pride in all its shapes and forms is the way he has chosen to achieve it.
Unexpectedly, it seems to work out for him, as he seems to enjoy everything save old cheese and loud noises, and that includes insults and other things that would infuriate average Joe.
Or maybe he's just insane?
Name: Kieran Alexander
Race: Human (Teenager)
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Appearance: Kieran has shoulder length black hair, his messy bangs highlighted different shades of purple. His eyes are a soft gray, and his skin is tanned a very light brown. He always has a calm and relaxed expression on his face. He stands at five-foot-eight normally, but his worn, black combat boots give him an extra three inches. His shirt is dark purple and loose-fitting, and he wears comfortable, faded, bell bottom jeans. He has a golden cross pendant around his neck.
Special Power: Telepathy, the claimed ability of humans (and others) to communicate from one mind to the other. Considered a form of ESP.
Weapon: A boomerang carved from a tree.
Skills and Proficiency: Precise aim, woodworking, singing, ESP.
Personality: Kieran is laid-back and very slow to anger. He's quiet and keeps to himself, mostly because he was always picked on as a child. He sometimes says random, odd things that earn him funny (as in weird) looks. An example would be his claim that cheese came from the devil. In the end, though, Kieran is just a shy child with way too much empty space in his noggin.
Name: Reyana
Race: Deity
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Appearance:Reyana has long, wavy blonde hair that extends to her waist. Part of her hair is drawn back into a high ponytail, tied with a red bow. Her bangs are parted in the middle, and are only a few centimeters from hanging in her eyes. Her right eye is a bright gold, while her left is an empty cyan. Her clothing style is just as crazy as she is, looking like something from the circus and the medieval combined. Her expression is always bubbly and cheerful, like a three year old with a new toy. She always carries herself with an air of immaturity. This tends to make her tantrums amusing and scary at the same time. She looks younger than she actually is.
Special Power: Barriers and Psychokinesis. Reyana is constantly surrounded by a nearly indestructible barrier that can only be dispelled if her concentration is elsewhere. She uses her psychokinesis to levitate objects and hurl them at high speeds, the majority of the time with the intent of killing.
Personality: Hot tempered and rebellious, Reyana will listen to no one aside from Damara. She doesn't mind killing things and finds it amusing. Most of the time she acts like an innocent, bubbly little child, but her temper is short and the slightest annoyance could turn her from cute to psychotic. Her favorite food is cheese, but she is lactose intolerant; however, she does not know this. Therefore she thinks the cheese hates her and often runs to Damara for comfort. What could sum Reyana up would be: hot tempered, immature, rebellious, crazy.
~*Xi*~
The sound was familiar and soothing. Of course it was, she'd been hearing it almost none stop for the past several days. On the cruise. And yet, what she was lying on... it didn't seem to be a bed of any kind. It was hot and grainy. And what's more, everything was still. It wasn't moving like it had been, non-stop, ever since she'd set foot on the boat. None of this felt right. Slowly, the memories started coming back. The violent shaking, the panic, and worst of all the dive.
Stupid cruise ship. What boat oversells tickets so that they don't have enough lifeboats to accomodate everyone? Useless. See if I ever cruise with them again. But that thought brought something else to her attention. When she'd realized there was no space for her, she'd done the only thing she could think of. They'd been near an island, she could see it and was hoping she could swim there. The others would know where she was and could send help, and so, she'd dived from the ship. But the ship had been a lot higher than she thought, and she'd been knocked unconscious upon impact with the water. So where was she?
She opened her eyes and was greeted by the sun shining brightly in a cloudless sky. She blinked and lifted a hand to shade her eyes against its light. Sun. She couldn't be dead. Unless they had sunlight in heaven, she wouldn't know, she'd never been. She sat up and looked around. She was on a beach, the ocean waves lapping happily at the sand. Several kinds of trees were an entrance to what she assumed was probably a forest. She looked back out at the sea. All was calm.
Have I made it to the island after all? I must have been washed shore. Or did someone carry me here. She ran a hand though her hair and frowned. Gritty. She looked down. Sand. Everywhere. It was all over her and her clothes, and she noticed she was wet. The waves however were breaking on the sand several feet away from her. Must be low tide, she thought and stood, throwing her long black hair all over one shoulder and trying to get as much sand out of it as possible.
"I hope there's a place where I can wash up," she said. Not that she had any clothes to change into. All she was carrying was the little bag she'd thrown over her shoulders before she'd left her cabin and it didn't contain much. Just some useless nothings that would probably mean little to other people. She straightened and glanced around. "How long have I been out?" She looked at the watch on her wrist but it was useless just as she'd expected it would have been. Broken upon impact, she guessed. "Ah well. It was cheap anyway."
Guess I'll explore and see what there is to see. I wonder if I'm the only one here...
~*Damara*~
Damara stared innocently at the birds chirping happily as they approached the stream to drink and bathe. So pretty. She'd grown at peace with the animals of the forest since she'd been dumped here ten years ago. There was no fun in killing them anyway. They didn't scream for mercy like the humans did. And so, her poor hair had not had any fun for several years. No one visited the island.
"Reyana!" she called. Where was the girl anyway? She usually wasn't very far. "Probably busy lusting after cheese like she always is. Is it really that good?" Damara had never tried any. She sat still with her legs folded neatly under her, holding out her finger and allowing a bird to land on it gracefully. It looked at her curiously and chirped out a greeting.
Damara nodded back in response, offering little more than that. Sometimes she smiled with the animals. Sometimes they did funny things. "Do you like cheese, little one?" she asked. "Has Rey Rey shared any with you?" Her mouth crinkled slightly as she remembered the nickname she'd given her childhood friends years ago when they were still human. Not that I like to admit I was ever part of that insolent race. They're probably still over there trying to come up with ways to make other people fight their own battles and bending over backwards to lick each others bottoms. She scoffed and snorted crinkling her nose. What wastes of space.
THWIP, SWISH, CRACK!
The sounds echoed through the silent forest as Perra brought his swordwhip back to him, immediately solidifying into the blade form. All around him, several thick branches were severed from their respective trees, freezing over and shattering as soon as they hit the ground. With a practiced gesture, Perra swung the weapon widely, the whole thing separating into a snake of segments linked by a core of flexible ice. The thing looked like a blue longsword at first glance, with numerous thin lines all along the blade, which were the segments. The whole thing was only possible because of Perras ability to make and manipulate ice with ease, else the weapon would most likely hit him more often than not.
With a whistle of air, the blade bit into several more branches, severing them in one fell stroke, woven together by Perra. They shattered on the ground, chiming in succession as they broke into frozen shards, quickly melting on the overgrown foliage of the ground. Thrusting the hilt over his head, the weapon linked back together again, gleaming in the tropical sun.
He breathed hard, sweating all over. His normal black leather clothes were hanging on a tree, and all he wore was a pair of thin cotton pants, now soaked with perspiration.
The lack of clothes revealed a thin and slender body, the muscles knotted with cords that flexed and rippled with every movement made. Clearly this Deity was in top physical shape. Lean legs moved with a deadly grace, guided in a dance with the swordwhip as it cut through even more branches, and scored some deep gouges on the trunks themselves.
With a final flick of his wrist to the side, the weapon clinked back together for the final time. Every breath he made was visible even in the sweltering sun, and his eyes shone with happiness.
Tossing the weapon up into the air, it sliced through some of the overgrowth before splitting into multiple pieces, each melting simultaneously as Perra released his power over it.
Grinning he sprinted away, his long legs carrying him with little effort on his part. With a sudden leap, he broke through a thin veil of foliage and directly into a small lake. With a splash, the water shot up and froze, kept in its plume of mist.
Diving down to the bottom of the lake, Perra faced upwards, marveling at the way the water distorted the sunlight, and illuminated the crystal clear liquid. Smirking, he pointed one finger towards the sun, and mentally said, "Bang."
Immediately a column of ice shot out of the water with a loud splash, ascending into the air well above the tree-line. It would be visible to any Deity in the forest, but wasn't that tall, just about two or so stories high.
Surfacing, Perra climbed out of the pool, the water on him freezing and falling off, leaving him completely dry. Making way back to where he had left his clothes, he got dressed, buckling up the black leather vestments. Normally he would be sweltering in these, but his own powers created an aura of cold around him, which normally kept him cool no matter what.
Hmm, morning training is done for today. I wonder if I could maybe convince one of the girls to spar later, I haven't practiced against Damara in a while. I still have a scar from the last time we dueled.
Making sure every piece of clothing was in place, Perra dashed off into the forest, heading back towards the city. Something told him he would have quite a bit of fun very soon.
A lone figure lay crumpled in the sand, still clutching onto the piece of wood she had used to float to shore. Julie coughed raggedly, trying to clear her throat but it was no use. The salt water had dried her mouth badly, making it difficult to breath. Slowly getting to her feet, she swayed, trying to get used to the land.
Squinting from the bright light reflecting back into her eyes thanks to the sand, she surveyed the situation. I'm on a deserted island. No food. No water. No person in sight, she thought, slowly shuffling towards the treeline. I'll be crazy by morning...
Dropping the piece of wood in the sand, she plopped under a large palm tree and rested her aching back against the cold bark. At least there were shadows to help stay out of the sun.
Taking a deep breath, she rested the back of her head on the bark and closed her eyes. Don't be rash, Jules. Keep your head up. There's bound to be some sort of airplane to fly over any minute looking for you.
Suddenly, twigs snapping from behind her made her jump. Spinning around on her torso to look behind the tree, she saw nothing in the dense jungle. Cautiously scanning the area, she slowly turned back around and thought, What if I'm not alone? It was comforting all the while, but another part of her reasoned that the company she'd keep would be cannibals, happily munching on her foot.
Scrambling to her feet, she backed away from the forest. What if this is like Lost?! she panicked, walking quickly back towards the ocean tide. Breathing fast, she looked out onto the horizon and saw nothing. Nothing but the thin line where sky met the sea.
Suddenly, a low rumbling could be heard from the sky. Her heart jumping, a plan soared over the trees, coming from the direction of the center of the island. Wavign her hands and screaming, she jumped into the air, trying to catch its attention. The plane, oblivious to her existence, continued on its trek into the distance.
"No!" she screamed, sitting up from underneath her makeshift tent, white faced. Fortunately for her, this was just a dream; very real but still a dream. Jules slowly got to her feet looked out over the horizon like she had done in her dream. Still, nothing was in sight.
Taking a deep sigh and shaking the remains of her dream from her head, she proceeded back to her temporary camp. There, one could see that it was a very habitable space for such a short amount of time. Bundles of sticks were placed sporadically, but held together by vines of the trees. Over top was a layer of large palm leaves, all nestled comfortably together. A bed of leaves was her means of falling asleep.
Moving her duffle bag (what she had actually used to float to shore) she rumaged in the leaves for her cell phone. Maybe it had dried itself of water and she could try to make a call for help.
Successfully, she found it. Turning it on, the screen came to life and bleeped a congenial greeting. "Yes!!" she shrieked with excitement, waiting for the main menu to pop up.
When it did, her heart sank once more. No signal.
Frustrated, she through her cell phone into the tent and plopped down in the sand. If it hadn't been for her parents insisting that the cruise would be a fun vacation, she wouldn't be in this mess. But now they're somewhere in a large life boat, floating along to safety. She couldn't believe that any of this was truly happening.
Shaking her head at her incredible misfortune, she added the fact that no one else was spotted on the island after making a roundabout tour on the beach. Not even a body; only what she could scrounge to use for her camp. Some of the items she took was a small oil lamp, a pair of sunglasses, another duffle bag with a bunch of clothes and other things such as a lighter, toothpaste and an empty water bottle.
She'd used the lighter to make a fire the night before. It was a nice little flame, but she instead ate a power bar she had packed into her bar. Although it wasn't all that filling, she willingly ate it.
Feeling the thoughts of frustration leave her, she got up and took off her shirt to reveal a blue bikini. Crumpling her shirt up and throwing it into her tent, she proceeded to pull of her shorts and made her way to the ocean front shore. Thanks to vigorous soccer training and always trying to stay in shape, her body was healthily toned and fit.
About ready to go for a much needed swim, something caught her eye. A figure, crossing the beach. She paused and stared. It wasn't a mirage, but it couldn't be real, could it?
Turning to face the person, she saw that it was a girl, not much older than she. "Hey!" she called, waving to get her attention. "Hey!"
Zabuza sighed deeply as he sat up high on a branch on one of the tallest trees he could find. He laid on his back and just relaxed. He hadn't got sleep the night before because of the thoughts and dreams that controled his subconcious. The air seemed rather cold from up here, and there was a slight breeze. Just perfect conditions he thought to himself closing his eyes.
A voice pounded in his head: "You killed many people, you should be punished. They had no right to die, you disobeyed your master." Flashes of many people and places whirred through his mind at high speeds till it reached the point of dizzying. He almost felt sick to his stomach. Startled Zabuza shot up from where he lay, but the fell of the branch from the dizzy-ness. The rocks then started to move. Zabuza focused his energy to his mind, and in an instant a large flat rock caught his whole body and eased him down to the ground.
'That was close' he thought to himself sighing. It was hotter down here then up there. With no second thoughts Zabuza made his way back up this time by rock instead of actually climbing.
Leaves.
It definitely had something to do with leaves,
she thought, assuring herself. No, she knew - sort of. In a sense, that is, that she knew that she thought she knew. Ever since she'd regained conciousness, everything had been a bit hazy. Unfortunately, the one thing that cleared itself up in quite a hurry were her memories of the ship going down: screaming, running, seperation, and general chaos. The lack of lifeboats. The confusion. The horrible sinking feeling in her stomach as she had jumped.
Lenore decided that she had never liked the movie 'Titanic' in the first place.
Under the circumstances, however, seperated from her brother and any signs of civilization (not to mention her poor, absolutely wrecked gameboy), Lenore believed that she was doing rather well. The girl was currently attempting to drag a metal object half her weight that she could only describe as a 'hooded thingie' across the sand toward her pile of so pronounced 'useful debris' and seperate pile of the most fantastically large leaves she'd seen in her life. After much pushing and pulling in alteration, she plopped down onto the sand next to the two piles to catch her breath. She turned her head from side to side. It was an island, she was sure of that, but by the looks of it, a very large and very empty one.
Pushing herself up from the hot, shifting sand once more, the girl went to work building a makeshift shelter with what she had found in the general vicinity of where she'd first awoken.
Branches, as well. Branches I can't reach. Leaves are fine. I can do this. I can...
Maybe I can make a signal.
Adding reinforcing touches to the rather impressive shelter supported by surrounding trees at the edge of a forest not far off from the beach (impressive for what it was made from), Lenore was finally confident it would hold up well enough through any unpredictable weather. While she had worked, she had considered many things: how to make a signal, the layout of the island, and how she was going to survive for however long her signal went unnoticed until she was saved, and what the signal would be. The latter three went hand in hand, she found.
Looking around, up and down the area, she could see mountains near what she supposed was to the Northwest corner of the island, and another single mountain to the Southwest that looked rather more like a volcano, though Lenore entertained the less frightening idea decidedly. However, Lenore was more interested in the river that ran past her shelter, a ways between the edge of the forest where she was and much farther form the beach on the opposite end where she had come from. It was fresh water, she had discovered.
There was a bright side to everything.
Lenore had the scenario of her rescue all mapped out in her imagination by the time she'd began her trek into the forest to explore a bit and find some source of food. She kept heading forward past a few already apparent obstacles to ensure that she wouldn't get lost. She needed to return later to her shelter, and then follow the freshwater river to see where it was collecting down from the mountain.
For now, she simply wanted to silence her stomach.
Lenore was perhaps a little too confident that she had all the time in the world to create a signal of some sort for help, but while she headed further into the increasingly dense forest, she collected quite a few very sharp, pointy and threatening-looking rocks and stored them into her trusty bag, still full of ruined gaming equipment, as well as an impressively strong stick she could carry with her.
Just incase.
Aya
Looking up at the perfectly clear sky, Aya tried to remember anything she could... But all that came to mind was her and her brother running around the cruiseship, and then... "Oh my god!" Aya sat up quickly and looked around in emberrasment to see if anyone had heard her ridiculous outburst. But the area was the same as it was fifteen minutes ago, empty. Damn I wish I could at least find something to eat... I wonder what happened to mom... We couldn't find her on the ship when everyone was evacutating, thats why I was too late to get a boat... Aya stood up, looking out to the calm sea. Well, maybe something washed up on the shore that could be useful. So she started her journey to find anything that washed up. When suddenly, Aya saw something big not too far in the distance Oh my god! Maybe this is my lucky break, maybe theres food, what if it's a way outta here! Ayas mind raced with excitement at spotting the far off object as she ran toward the foreign shadow.
The object was coming closer in view, so Aya ran faster with excitement. What is it? It kinda looks like... "A BODY!" Aya let out a brief shriek. She hurried and hunched herself over the body and turned it over to check for signs of life. Jeez, this body is heavy... But this shirt... She hurriedly brushed the sand off the face, and gasped in shock. "Tehkie! Oh my god, please... Please wake up! Oh my god... What should I do? Oh my god... Think Aya, no time to panic... Oh yeah... Check for vitals... Aya brushed the sand off his neck and felt for a pulse. "Damn... I can't tell..." Aya dug his buried arm out of the sand and felt his wrist. "YES!" Thank god... I thought I had lost him... "Then that means..." Check for breathing... Aya started to move towards his head to check for breathing when she felt something sticky on her hand. Aya looked at her hand only to see it was covered in sand and blood. Where is this blood coming from? I'm pretty sure that I'm not cut... That means! Aya checked Tehkis for any blood and noticed his white shirt was soaked in a dark pool of red on his arm. Okay, first things first... He's gonna die if he doesn't breathe... Make him breathe, then stop the bleeding... Doesn't seem like much is coming out anymore... Aya cleaned off his face, and tried to remember her CPR training. Okay... Breathe two then push fifteen? Or... I don't know, just do whatever to save him... Aya began the CPR procedure... Still no breathing... Please... I don't wanna lose you as well... She tried again, and Tehkis coughed up salty sea water. At least he's alive... Now to go get something to stop the bleeding... I know! I'll use that shirt I found earlier... "Hey, stay right here, I'll be right back to get something to stop the bleeding." Aya got up and started walking back to her stuff. Suddenly she heard someone yelling, it was a girl... She seemed to be around her age. She turned and started running toward the unknown voice. Maybe she's from the ship, or maybe she lives on this island, either way, people! She can help me with Tehkis' arm!
Tehkis
"Aya! What's that over there?" This is such a stupid prank... But she falls for it everytime... When she looked away, Tehkis splashed her with a bucket of ice cold water, and started running away. While running away, there was a huge shake on the boat. Thats when I fell... I hurt my leg way bad... And... Uhg my head... Aya... I saw her fall, so I limped over to her, but then we got seperated by a crowd of people... It's still a blur from there... I remember getting hit by something in the water... Something hit my left arm way bad. Tehkis heard the faint sound of a womans voice, he couldn't quite make out the words but he knew he heard something... Tehkis suddenly coughed up some water and felt his lungs take in a long awaited breath. He started breathing again, he could still hear the voice. But the voice soon stopped. Tehkis tried moving his body, but to no avail. I guess this is what it's like to be dying... I can't die now... Not until I am happy... I can't give up, I must live...
He was sitting on the tree watching the white-haired male do his tricks and stuff. There were no blood and it was rather boring. The rest of them weren't doing anything either and frankly, this island was boring. He wondered if he could ever get out of this hellhole and into the world where humans exist. I shall bath you in red ~ A malicious sneer formed over his lips, curving them upwards until he broke into a cackle and leaped off the tree; it was time to end boredom.
He dropped down rather suddenly in front of the boy as he seemed to be dashing back towards the city, and in a hurry too. "Y hallo thar, mai gewd suh~" Muttered the brown haired boy as he grinned inauspiciously. His blue eyes twinkled with mischief as his grin turned to a sneer. "How ye be on this fine monin', eh?~" He continued to grin at the boy who seemed rather cooled off, maybe from doing all that ice things that he does. The distance between them wasn't very far and enough for Perra's sword to materialize and slash at him, but it never worried Sanji... he was born to pain.
"Say, mistah, you look like you gon' have some fun. You wanna share?~" Again, he looked at the boy with a dark gleam in his sapphire eyes, ready for any sort of aggressive gesture that'd be enough reason to make his head go boom. Although he was more than close enough within Perra's sword-range, Sanji had ways to evade attacks... Always a step ahead of 'em...hehehe ~ He grinned as he drew Eclipse from his back. "Shiny, no, mistah?~" He muttered with a childlike glee as the sun glinted on the polished blade of the serrated edge, all it's carvings gleaming gold. Sistah was pleased ... hehehe ~
