When I first saw this game, I said to myself "A zombie game where you are the zombie sounds cool" To my surprise, It was everything a gamer could want. In this review I will critique about sound, graphics, story, and gameplay. Both for Xbox and Pc.

Story

You were once a 1930's traveling sales man, killed by the father of a farmers daughter. Now its the 1950's. A man named Andrew Monday has the rags to riches story, He has build the first city two century's into the future, Punchbowl. Stubbs raises from the grave to find his one true love, Maggie Monday, Is in the city of Punchbowl. Trying everything in his power to get back with His one true love.

8.5/10

Gameplay

Stubbs the Zombie: A Rebel Without A Pulse has very cool and fun (and funny) Gameplay. You start off just eating the brains of civilians of Punchbowl. After you kill someone by eating their brains or any other zombie method, They become your personal slave. Which will help you along the way. You also get special zombie power as you progress throughout the story. First you get the Unholy Flatuience, Which is basically a really stinky fart that stunns your enemys so you cant go in and make the kill. You can also through your pancreas, Which like in Halo can stick to enemy, or just explode with a click of a button. Stubbs can remove his arm to posses anyone in the game, Hillbillies, Cops, Marines, and offcourse the singing guys. STRIKE! just like in bowling Stubbs head can be removed to bowl and knock down enemys. Theres even a dance competition.

10/10

Graphics

This game, Most wont be able to tell, uses the Halo engine. Yup Halo 1 not Halo 2. Upgaded offcourse, Uses normal mapping and bump mapping to make this game look as great as halo 2. Its no F.E.A.R. or Doom³, But its colorfull atmosphere works great for a game set in the futuristic 50's. It also uses a film grain effect, which looks fantastic.

6/10

Sound

No game can be without a great soundtrack, Stubbs delivers. It has perfect remixes of old 50's songs like Mr. Sandman, Lolipop, And Earth Angel all done by undergroung alternative rock groups. No one should over look the hilarious dialouge either in game or sequences from the story are all really funny and memorable.

10/10

FINAL VERDICT: BUY

I want to always be the zombie in a zombie game.
What is the point of trying to kill zombies that will never die?
