Meh...what's the difference between making fun of portugal and making fun of the US? mellow.gif

I mean..I remember that "American" topic in Debate Section...where it was filled with American Bashing...does this mean we can create a Portugal Topic in Debate..and bash Portugal? If not...then isn't this baised in a way? huh.gif

There is a difference from stating facts arguing a point against a country and uneccessary bashing.

Ah I see. Well in all truth, most of the post in that topic were hardly based on concrete facts. In reality thier beliefs were acclumilated mostly by assumptions and gossip, which is most likely incorrect. Truth be told, I believe if your not American, you have no right to bash America, (at least not here) I do not go around stating false facts on why other country's suck, so I appreciated that others wouldn't either. To allow them to do so in thier so called "Facts" is a contradiction majorly. Also, you stating uneccessary bashing is outlawed, however this implies that you may or may not feel that the Bashing on American is considered neccessary. Not saying this how you truly feel, just interuptating the statement. Isn't all bashing...uneccessary?

It was I who created the thread; not to bash America, but to inquire as to why it's so popular to hate America. You'd be amazed the number of people I've met abroad who dislike America without being able to come up with more than, "Iraq War."

It's becoming apparent the "International" child-forum needs to be rid of.

I was not point blame towards you Shugo. I stated that the American topic turned into one big place to bash America, not stating that was it's orginal intention. If I was actually point blame to anyone...it was those who American Bashed within that thread.

How about we say "No one make fun of ANY country ever again whether you hate or not."?

And then...we can close this topic...=\

Uh, why would you want to? And no, personally, I don't like it. I'm from the South and calling someone a "yank" (short for "yankee") is an insult. Hence the Southern phrase of "da** yankee"--it's intended to be insulting.

Call me a "yank" and I'll hiss at you. *growls*

Actually, he can call you a yank, because, the only people he can't call yanks as of now are residents of Portugal.

And about that rule, anyways, it was made because pretty much every forum had at least a few Portugal insults in it, it was indeed getting out of hand.

It would be nice to have a 'No Country Flaming/Bashing" rule, though. Like Aurora_Star said.

Shugo-kun: Cool.

Basically, we can all realize that bashing another country is against the rules. And no, you may not call an American a yank, just like you can't call an asian that dreaded "c" word, etc. etc.

BAM!

A little supplement :

No one is allowed to break the rules. Aurora did get 10 % of warning and a two days post exclusion from me because he couldn't be called exactly a "newbie" for breaking the rules.

Then, someone banned him because he was already at 100 % and because he used the word gay. So please stop telling that I banned him. It's not my decision, but I won't hide the fact that I'm happy this decision was took for the sake of the KAF site.

Now, about the argumentation about the countries : if I catch someone telling : portugal and usa are cr*ppy countries (not what I'm thinking, here as a sample), then, it's a violation of the rules. If I catch someone saying : I dislike USA for what they have done (here reason X or Y), then, for me, there's no violations.

That's the difference between argumenting and spamming. And if you think that bashing a country isn't against the rules : I'll tell you that : it's against 3.4, offensive content and illegal material.

Now, you're not allowed to criticize your own country without giving proper reasons... Exactly the same as other countries. Please report any unusal activity about countries directly to me or to the administrators using the inbox please.
