stock is basically a picture in a sig/banner/avatar/etc. of a person/car/etc. cropping is when you cut some part of a picture and making it smaller using the crop tool (in your toolbar to the left).

nice texture, good clean image. Nice cropping and great colour. 'Feel' looks a little too close to the edge.
The leading (space between lines of text) is a little too much for the central text.

The typography could be a bit stronger, but otherwise it's a really nice banner.

Try varying the shades in the background, it adds some real depth. As is, it seems a bit flat, maybe try usign a blue => black toned background to make it a little more lively, by using colour balance layers beneath the stock layer, and try not to brush over the stock too much, otherwise it might become over blended.
