======================

This is highly important reading. It compiles all the rules and documents that have been posted by us. Some rules will not be rules on other roleplaying forums / forums with roleplay.

This document will cover significant different aspects of roleplay at Keiichi Anime Forever. The purpose of this document is to provide you with enough information to start roleplaying right way without getting bashed by a roleplay moderator.

Please don't skim. Skimming other documents posted on KAF have gotten a few suspended/banned from services.

Welcome to the world of roleplaying - an interactive writing game that involves its participants in different ranges of emotions while accomplishing a complete plot. Only if you're new to roleplay, read Getting Started on Roleplaying.

Roleplay Level System

Here at Keiichi Anime Forever, we have an implemented a roleplay level system that rates the expected quality of a roleplay. It allows individuals to expect a certain quality from roleplayers while allowing both care-free roleplays to very serious roleplays.
  • Level 0 - randomness, no tight rules, no plot, no check for spam, grammar, etc.
  • Level 1 - loose background, no plot, some checks about grammar spam, (high-school RPs), etc.
  • Level 2 - background AND plot necessary, good grammar, appropiate post length etc
  • Level 3 - high standards, literate, usually 300+ words, deep story AND plot
(perhaps even moderated/directed), NO spam, OOC clean ups, etc.
Keep this in mind. All new roleplays require this field and you will be able to see the level of an RP clearly by a box in the form of "Level #" on the topic listing. When viewing a topic, the roleplay level will be displayed on top. Adhere to the expectations of the specific roleplay level for that roleplay.

Roleplay Forum Categories

Roleplay forums are categorized into either Public Roleplay or Roleplays for the Seasoned. These are rules applying those those forums (NOT the subforums such as Anime-based Roleplay, etc.). Not following these rules may get your topics deleted.
  • Don't post multiple topics of the same nature (aka clones).
  • Don't post a "PLEASE JOIN MY RP!!!" topic. If people are interested, they will join.
  • Don't post roleplay chit chatter (such as a "Do you like roleplaying as girls or guys?" thread).
  • Don't post "What would Jesus do for a Klondike Bar?" topics. Create your topics in a mature manner. Don't try to act all "mysterious" and please don't try to act "funny" by making unclear topic names. This is annoying, and your topic will be closed no matter what is contained in the topic.
NOTE: Topics the have already served their purpose or have no purpose will also be deleted. Topics that have no purpose are topics that are not expecting replies to the intial post.

For a good example of a advertisement topic that is not a "PLEASE JOIN MY RP!!!" topic but where is a place where people can sign up to join the roleplay, visit Final Fantasy Fighters: Advent Era. It does not clutter the forum like a "Can I join?" thread would.

Roleplay Rules and Guidelines

This is the last major document you need to read. We have come to the Roleplay Rules. This summarizes many of the expectations we have for roleplays including impotant tips and guidelines not familar to other roleplay forums. This is the bulk of information you need to know (other than this document).
