((Weeeeee I feel so loved!!))

Emma

"Are you never late?" I asked Tammy sarcastically rolling my eyes. I kept walking as Tammy tried her best to catch up. She always complained about how fast I walked.((don't ye Jane?)) I came to the classroom door and reached for the doorknob when a shock ran through it and jumped to my hand. "YEOW!" I yelled jumping back from the door, "Dammit Brad!! Don't DO that!!" The door opened to reveal a doubled over form, shaking with laughter. I glared daggers at him. "Hahaha," he laughed clutching his stomach with one hand while wiping tears away from his eye, "It was just too good an opportunity to miss!" I walked in and proceeded to walk past him, as I did so I 'accidently' hit the back of his knee, buckling it and sending him to the floor.

((Wow sorry for the random desultory babble!! I didn't want my post to be just, like, one sentence!!))

((whoa check out that fawesome use of vocab words in one sentence))

I walked down the hall and entered the class room, many of the students were already seated and waiting. I walked over to my desk and sat down, watching Brad eat the floor as I hid a grin behind my hand. It was going to be an eventful day, I could tell already.

I sat back in my chair, playing with energy balls as I waited for the profesor to come. Loud crackling sounds filled the room as my energy orbs spun through the air, charging it with enough energy to light up a whole town.

I skipped into class and sat my usual seat. In the back, next to the window. It was the perfect spot for me. I could go unnoticed if I wanted or draw attention to myself. I could look out the window when I was bored. It was one of the best seats. It's not really confortable to turn around and look at me. So it was less chance for anyone to bother me. I sat there looking out the window. I really didn't want to be in class today. There was nothing better to do though. I waited for the teacher while watching the others. I kinda wished I had one friend to talk to. I sometimes got a little lonely. I just sighed and waited for the feeling to past.

As I reached the door of my first class (which was, ironically enough, Stealth Ops. 1), I gave two sharp raps against a steel locker, a farewell to Tsu until we met later, probably in lunch. I didn't notice the young girl at the next locker, though, and she began staring around, searching for what had caused the sound. Her eyes seemed to fix on me, as if I had been found out, but she just kept looking back and forth. My relief coulsn't have been greater, and I hurried into the classroom.

I crept into the back of the room, to the seat nearly everyone avoided. My seat. It was said to be haunted, since strange sounds would sometimes come from it. I'm not perfect; even I mess up in my stealth occasionally. Besides, it kept people away more than usual, which was fine my me.

The teacher, Mr. Myut, Was taking attendence, and looked up without calling a name. As he scanned the back row, I placed the small green paper on my desk. When his eyes reached it, I let it go for the quickest glimpse, then pocketed it again. The paper flashed visible for that scant second, and Mr. Myut nodded and marked me down. I had agreements like this with all the teachers, and all of them besides Mr. Myut had objections to it. They all kept telling me how I should confront my shyness, and let people get to know me. I'd always apologize, say that I would try, and leave it at that. Not that I'd tried. There was little point to. I was happy enough left alone, with the few friends I had, and I figured that that was the way it should be.

At least, I thought I was happy.

I saw the flash of paper out of the corner of my eyes. Jugen must have just arrived in class. I wasn't trying to sense him at the moment. I could feel his presence slightly because I wasn't focused on him. I had a lot of classes with him and it was always the same. He rarely was visible. I looked straight at him for a moment. I wondered why he wanted to be invisble. It was probably the same as her reason for being the way I was different. I was noticed by everyone but at the same time no one saw me. People generally left me alone. I put all my oddities out there. It was the best way to be hide, in plain view of everyone. I could live the way I wanted and everyone else could go on with their life.

Mr Myut saw me looking at Jugen's seat and called for my attention. He then asked me had I did my homework. A lapse of jugdement I was sure. His face showed that he had realized it to late. "Sey, ti saw ysae. od ouy tnaw ti won ro retal?" He stared at me annoyed for a moment. The rest of the class began to laugh. He shook his head and asked me to repeat it. I did and added at the end, "Yhw od uoy tnaw em ot teaper ti, fi uoy t'now nestil ot em?" He didn't know what I said but he knew by my tone I had gotten smart with him. He shook his head and began explaining what the lesson would be. It was all he could do since he didn't know what I said. I sighed slightly amused. He would not call on me again.

I glided down to the towering double oak doors, my first class. I ruefully paused before them, realizing I was late and contemplating weather or not I should just skip class all together. I decided against it, as, another transgression and I would be kicked out. I gently put my hand on the doorknob and very slowly, opened the door. I slipped in, and drifted over to my desk in the back of the room, shruging when the teacher asked me why I was late. I decended down into my seat, and pretended to listen while the teacher gave his instructions.

Seyonne walked out of the kitchen, as no one responded to his question, as usual. He then walked into the computer lab and sat down at his in the far corner. He liked this seat for he had a clear view of the door and to those who didn't know better he could look like a teacher. In reality he was sitting at 'his' computer and putting the last finishing touches on his jet boots. He hadn't made them yet because he wanted to finish up on his car. Finally done, until another idea jumped into his head, he would continue with the many other plans he had on this and his perosnal computer in his room that he had made and modified since he was 6. With this blueprint finished he printed it out and went to his room, which was really just a cubby hole or janitor closet with everything but a workbench and desk removed. Sitting at the bench he took out a pair of rollerblades and began to modify them to his specifications.

((Okay I must admit that I got this idea from the show Static Shock but I have always dreamed of really doing things like that. sweatdrop.gif ))

I became extremely bored in class. Mr. Myut was explaing another way to go unseen. I could careless about not being see. People tend to avoid you when you be have weird. I decide to leave class and go find something fund to do. I to play with the moisture in the air. Making the room a lot more cooler then it was supposed to be. Not many people knew I could do that. I then condensed the water vapor into a cloud over Mr. Myut's head. I would be long gone before had a clue what I had done. Everyone thought I could only make ice. So I often made it rain or snow by messing with the moisture in the air. I had gotten pretty good at it. It didn't last for very long though. Depending on mostly how big the area was I was manipulating. I raised my hand and waited for him to acknowledge me. "Throne." I said as my way of telling him I had to go to the bath room. He nodded and I got up to leave. Just as I left the room I made it rain on him. I knew he would forget about me now. He would be to busy trying to figure out what happened. I walked in the bathroom and a went into a stall. I waited in there for ten minutes. Then I walked out and went to the Kitchen. No one would be there and I was still hungry.

Yea, 'ways not to be seen'... as if I really need it. I should be teaching this class, with all my experience in the area, I thought in boredom. The cloud that formed over Mr. Myut's head was amusing, and it suited him somewhat, but I lost interest rather quickly. There was no point in staying here, I decided, so when the cloud formed, I figured Tona was doing something to skip out. Even though it was common knowledge of her ice abilities, nobody but me, it seemed, figured that the physics of the ability allowed for other uses too. It was confirmed when she made her request to go to the restroom. Keeping myself unseen, I made my way to the door just before her, and waited until she'd opened it to slip out. Luckily I didn't slam my foot on the door this time. A splash of water sounded behind me, but I ignored it. When a cloud forms over someone, rain usually follows.

Where to go next? I hadn't figured this far. So I started what had become somewhat of a habit for me: wandering aimlessly about the school. Something would present itself, I figured, so just wait until it doesn't spot me.

I sat on the counter eating some cereal. I didn't put milk in it. I liked it crunchy. I was completely bored and needed to do something. I started to wonder where Jugen had went to. I knew he would take the oppurtunity to leave as well. It might be fun to mess him. Nothing major, nothing to embrassing. Just a little harmless playing. I could sense him well so I'd be able to stop if it seemed to upset him to much. I finished my cereal and jumped of the counter. I created a mist around myself and in the halls. I couldn't understand why it made it harder for the others to see me that way. It worked though. I then went looking for Jugen or something fun to do.

I found him quickly. The mist helped to increase my vision. I followed behind him. Close enough for him to not to be noticed. I made the floor freeze infront of me so I could slide my feet. To anyone who saw me it would appear that I was just playing around. I even had the blank look on my face that made everyone think I was in a world of my own. I make this face often so no one can tell when I am daydreaming. I followed him waiting for a good opportunity to make it known I knew he was there.

Jugen

As I trudged through the hall, the something that I had hoped would come about had yet to make an appearance, and I started to believe it had forgotten to show up at all. That is, until the mist began forming.

I didn't like mist, or any type of fog. It made it harder to hide, since it made my outline visible, even if the rest of me wasn't. Granted, someone walking by would probably take my empty outline as a dead spirit walking the halls and run screaming about how the school was haunted, but it still bothered me.

The hallway became strangely cold as well, as if there was ice forming around me. The mist around obscured the walls well enough, so I couldn't tell either way. It could even have been the mist making it cold; I wasn't very sure. All I knew was that it was cold, I ws getting wet from the moisture around me, and the kid who left the window open to let this god-cursed fog in was in for it bigtime.

Of course, it wasn't all that safe to assume that the mist was natural. When you live in a school of mutated students who carry nearly every psychokinetic ability imaginable, natural occurences become a sub-standard explanation to strange events, and "perfectly reasonable" explanations are sent packing. Then again, when one is cold, wet and annoyed at some imaginary prankster, they tend not to think things through. I'm part of that majority. So I never saw what was coming from behind me, as obvious as it might have been.

I sensed his annoyance. So I made the mist stop. I didn't want to annoy him to much. He was pretty much the only person who didn't treat me like a freak. I skated behind him on the ice though. This was one of my favorite things to do. I skated so I was beside him. I keep stride with him for a little while. I then decided to head outside for a while. "Tnod eb dam ta em. I saw tsuj gniyalp." I said and skated past him. It would be eaiser to skate outside. I created another mist so I wouldn't be seen. I headed for the nearest window. It would be the best way for me to get outside. I sent a cool chill to Jugen, just as a goodbye.

Jugen

The mist suddenly fell around me, so it wasn't so cold anymore. I was puzzled for a moment. Mists didn't just vanish. Unless, of course, they were generated by a cryokinetic, such as the one who appeared next to me. "Tona..." he grumbled, shaking his unseen head. No doubt she'd have seen me by now, what with that mist she threw up.

As she skated away on her ice path, her words backtracked past me, and I had to take a couple seconds to sort them out. I grinned once I understood, and with a blink, I created an image of myself floating next to her as she retreated. My images could speak just like I could, but couldn't touch or affect objects. It floated just next to her as if she stood still, moving with her.

"Eh, it's alright. Just give me a little more warning first. I thought the mist was natural," the illusion said, and flashed a rare grin at her before vanishing quietly. I caught the chill just as I banished the image, and it strangely warmed me. I wasn't sure why, but I figured that maybe this strange girl could be trusted enough... At any rate, I decided to follow her, slipping on the ice as she headed for the window.

When his image came beside me, I was a little shocked. I've seen him do it before though. I smiled when he replied to my apology. Not many people took the time to translate it. It made me wounder just how many of my phrases he actually understood. I slipped out the window. I stopped once I was outside. I looked at the big clock. It was still forty-five minutes before our next class. I decided to see how my weather ability had grown. It was warm enough outside. If I manipulated the moisture in the air, and make the air cool at the same time I might be able to produce a thunderstorm. I sensed Jugen had followed me. I didn't know if he knew about my ability yet. I wasn't ready to tell yet.

I begin to dance on the Ice path I was constantly creating. If anyone happened to see me they would think I was just dancing as usual. As I danced I started the process of making the rain clouds. It was a process I had gotten quite good at. Not many people with my power took the time to develop it. They didn't realize the potential. I enjoyed my power to much. I had discovered my ability didn't just limit me to ice and coldness. I could control water, ice, water vapor. I could create various weather conditions by manipulating these various states. I created the clouds in only five minutes. I had to work on the time. Then I began to cool the air around the clouds. This took a little longer. It was ten minutes before I heard the first small rumble of thunder. In five more minutes the thunder got much louder. I stopped manipulating and let nature do the rest. Three minutes later I had a full fledged thunderstorm. I jumped up and down in the rain happily. I was so excited to finally create a thunderstorm. I had been trying to do so for about six months. It wasn't an easy process. Most people would just think she was being weird. I stopped making my ice path and began to dance in the rain. No doubt I would get caught by a teacher. The whole school was staring out the window. No doubt confused by the sudden storm.

Jugen

I stood on the slowly melting ice, watching Tona dance and celebrate. A thunderstorm? She can create something that complex? My mind revelled at the idea. I knew she could make small clouds and little showers, but a thundercloud was huge, and getting the temperatures right was no small task. It made me think. What if I could do more than what was obvious of my ability? I had little to lose, and this rain was doing nothing to help me hide. But how would I extend my ability as Tona had hers? A sudden thought sparked through me, and it seemed possible. I just had never tried it.

I started simply by making one of my usual afterimages, looking exactly as I did (without the invisibility, of course). I waved a hand slowly before it, and with a strange shift, the image's clothing changed color. Good, now for something more difficult, I thought, and gave another wave. The clothing changed entirely, with a long coat covering clothes much baggier and darker than I would usually wear. And now for the last try, for now. This is taking more from me than I figured... I thought, and waved once more. The face changed this time, as did the body of the image. He now looked at a female, dressed in much brighter clothing, with long black hair and eyes to match. He looked at this new character with something of familiarity, as if it was someone he knew at one time. Shaking it off, another idea struck him and he grinned.

With a thought, the image flickered away, but didn't disappear for long. A moment later, the image had superimposed itself over Tona's dancing form, their movements matching, and appearing to unaided eyes that Tona had vanished and this stranger had taken her place. The image quietly spoke to Tona, in a mixture of my voice and one that could be expected of the form. "You're forgiven for earlier. Nice storm, by the way." I couldn't help but grin, thoroughly pleased with myself.

I had seen the image changing and knew it was Jugen. As I continued my victory dance the image superimposed itself on me. I had in a sense become invisible. I stopped after it spoke to me. So, he had figured out her secret. "Don't tell the others." I didn't say it backwards, I wanted make sure he understood the message. I made sure my tone conveyed my seriousness on the matter. No one else had figured it out. I had worked hard at keeping it that way. I didn't want anyone to know just yet. Not until I was able to perfect it more.

I then began my dance again. I was happy to be able to accomplish this task. I then realized why the image was on me. Since he knew about how I had learned many new uses for ability. He must have thought he could do the same with his. So he was playing with his image now. Soon, he would probably try to get it to hold things. He'd tinker with it until it was no longer just an image. It would be able to pass a human itself. She knew all to well what that meant for him. "Doog Kcul!! Ev'uoy tog a gnol yenruoj deaha fo uoy! M'i erus uoy lliw eb elba ot retsam ruoy lliks." I said slowy so that he would understand as well. I continued to dance happily in the storm I created. My next task was to make blizzard. That would take some time as well.

When Seyonne finished his new jet blades he decided to try them out. Straping them on he bladed to the front door only to discover a girl dancing in the rain. He sighed and decided to start working on his force field belt. Taking the long way around to his shop again he bladed by a few students that were either going to the bathroom or taking a small break from class, exused or not. Ignoring his door he continued skating around the school just to get in a little bit of needed exercise not caring where he went or following any particular route.
