Hey,sorry if im changing the subject,but i just started an RP,and forgot about the plot. Im kinda new on the whole 'starting rp' thing. Can someone fill me in a bit on what a plot is? (I still kinda don't get it. I feel stupid right now.)

^ the plot would be the storyline, what it's about...write an interesting intro for a level 2 rp...level 1 well, have fun (like my bar int random rps: anything can happen)

Shaman King is a good idea, though I have a tingling feeling, when the shaman fights start ._. that there will be people who will refuse to take hits, dodging and 'magically' taking the pain....>>

That's a justified question, quite a few do not seem to know the difference between the background story and the plot of an RP - which leads to RPs, that have lots of a fan-fiction like story and background, but are still plotless and leave potential players in the ambiguity of what actually to do...

The plot is the actual action that shall take place in your game - the aim, or purpose so to speak. While the story describes the reasons and motivation of your RP, including the setting and the world that the plot shall take place in.

e.g. Story/Background: 10 years ago your father had sent a ship with a treasure back to the old world, but it was intercepted and captured by pirates. Now you got hold of a map that suggests where this treasure has been buried. You feel like discovering it.

Plot: Help finding that treasure and prevent that others find it first.

I'm planning on making a Naruto RP, and hopefully this one will be good. I was wondering if anyone would be interested. here's the basic plot outline.

The ninja villages are at war. And as such there hasn't been a long enought period for there to be a chunin exam. There is a new class coming out of the Konoha trainig acadamy, and with the brief pause in the war there has been the announcement of a new Chunin exam. The newest academy graduates have more then enought time to train themselves and participate.

OC characters are encouraged. The Uchiha bloodline will be limited, and non-OCs will most likely be discouraged.

Something along those lines. I'll write more when I'm not tired/avoiding 10-16 year old females.

(If i somehow managed to miss a Naruto RP with a similar basic plot PLEASE PM so I don't post and have to hide from the mods. )
